"The hotel offers a lot of services which add value to the stay experience. There were self-serve fresh coffee and a variety of herbs/ flower tea selection at the lobby, free laundry services, afternoon high tea and night dessert. We really appreciate passing our clothes which required laundry to the staff and return to collect freshly laundry clothes. The staff is reachable easily via WeChat. They also offer complimentary pick up from the train station. If I really have to pick on something - there is no view in the room I stayed in even though it was bright and spacious. Overall highly recommend a stay."

"A truly perfect trip! Here, I enjoyed sunny weather, stunning Erhai Lake views, and a fantastic large balcony. The room layout, including the full-length mirror, was exceptionally beautiful. What sets this hotel apart from others in Ideal State is its deep commitment to the Santorini, Greece-style design. While some other places might only have an exterior that fits the theme, with very ordinary interiors, this hotel extends that Greek Santorini vibe to both its facade and inside the rooms. You can even watch the sunset from bed! And the next morning, with a bit of luck, I captured some amazing 'blue hour' photos. The butler and hotel service were incredibly attentive; basically, anything I needed, the butler would take care of. The afternoon tea, with ginger-syrup drizzled waffles and other delicious treats, was also perfectly to my liking. Actually, I fell in love with this room when I first saw the hotel six months ago (yes, I even preferred it over others with pools!). So, I saved up and finally came today, half a year later. What can I say? I feel incredibly lucky. The weather forecast had predicted cloudy and rainy days for Dali, but the moment I arrived, it cleared up and stayed sunny until I checked out. Plus, it wasn't too crowded when I visited (it might be peak season later on). In short, I highly recommend it! If you're planning a trip to Ideal State, definitely come to this hotel and stay in this room!"

"I'm very happy with the room I booked this time. The hotel has a very simple yet grand design, and the rooms have a more modern style. It's a 4-story building, with a laundry room on the 2nd floor, a gym on the 1st floor, and a beautiful rooftop terrace on the 4th floor. It's very comfortable to go up there in the evening to stroll around and sit, and you can even see the stars. The room has a Marshall speaker, and the subwoofer sounds really great. It's less than a ten-minute walk from the Old Town, which is very convenient. The bedding is comfortable and clean, and I slept very well. If you have high standards for your living environment, choose this hotel. It's also very quiet at night, making it easy to fall asleep."

"The hotel is spotless and incredibly quiet and comfortable. The service was absolutely outstanding! Every staff member was dedicated and super friendly to guests. My child experienced altitude sickness for the first time in Yunnan, and the hotel immediately provided oxygen and even offered to accompany us to the doctor. The breakfast was delicious, and room service was very efficient. I highly, highly recommend this place. Before we left, they even gave a small gift to my child. Seriously, I can't recommend this quality hotel enough; it's truly trustworthy."

"After exploring much of Yunnan, arriving at this B&B in Dali felt like discovering the most meticulously designed place of my entire trip. I had initially shortlisted a few B&Bs online, but ultimately chose to stay within the ancient city rather than by the sea, primarily drawn by its charming courtyard and duplex rooms. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations. The courtyard, though compact, was incredibly serene, and the decor was very tasteful. All the amenities provided were of premium quality. We booked two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs room even featured a specially installed electric blind for stargazing. It was evident that the entire B&B had been thoughtfully designed with attention to every detail. The selection of food and beverages provided was also excellent, and they even delivered sweet soup to our rooms in the evening. The breakfast spread was very generous, offering both Chinese and Western options – a definite highlight. However, the taste of the morning rice noodles and Ersi could be improved."

"On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise! The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful! The complimentary welcome fruit was delicious, and staff helped with my luggage up and down the stairs. Both the front desk staff and my personal butler provided exceptional service. The hotel breakfast was tasty and offered a wide variety of choices; you can eat it in the lobby on the first floor or have it delivered to your room. "The first impression I had of Dali Indigo was truly unforgettable: opening the window revealed the Erhai Lake right there, with the Cangshan Mountains gently reclining in the distance. A cool, crisp breeze, unique to Xiaguan, drifted in from the water. It wasn't the kind of aloof resort experience, but rather like truly living an everyday Dali life. The rooftop pool was an unexpected highlight; a few laps in the evening, with the water reflecting the changing hues of the sky from orange-red to indigo, made me feel like I was floating in the sunset glow. A steaming bowl of freshly-made rice noodles for breakfast was the perfect way to truly wake up. If you're coming for that stunning lake, for the moment you open the window and meet Erhai's gaze – this place will not disappoint!"

GGuest UserAs returning customers, we were thrilled to find that Yunqi Sea View Hotel is just as wonderful as we remembered from a year ago. Due to a last-minute booking change by us, we experienced two different room types this time: the Ground Level Courtyard Room and the Secret Realm Sea View Double Bed Suite. Both were exceptional. Here is why this hotel remains our absolute go-to in Dali: Perfect Location: Right outside, you’ll find convenience stores and a bicycle rental shop (making renting and returning bikes incredibly seamless). Plus, the lake views from the sea-view rooms are simply breathtaking. Superb Dining & Perks: The in-house restaurant serves fantastic Yunnan cuisine that strikes a perfect balance between price and quality. We also loved the complimentary food perks: a sumptuous breakfast set, delicious cheesecake for afternoon tea, and healthy, unsweetened evening desserts. Unparalleled Service: The staff are wonderfully friendly, courteous, and proactive. When I inquired about a work desk, they promptly brought a small table and chair to my room. They also checked in daily for housekeeping and seamlessly arranged our transport to the train station. Excellent Facilities: The hotel features a great gym, a 1.8m-deep pool, a kids' playroom, a function room, and a beautiful garden. Our room on the second night was located at the higher level facing Er Hai. The room was fairly spacious and only lack a worktable. The view from our bedroom was breathtaking. Waking up in the morning to this amazing view of the lake is something which we had looked forward to all this while before our trip. Another reason why I chose this room was the availability of a superb projector screen and setup allowing us to enjoy our favorite shows on a big screen in the bedroom. We will definitely return to Yunqi for all our future trips to Dali!

The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. Iiris_yy123I used to stay at Anlan in Sanya frequently, and that's when I fell in love with the brand. This time, I decisively booked again, and overall, I'm extremely satisfied! Anlan pays great attention to detail, including airport pick-up and drop-off. The butler will contact you via WeChat in advance. Both the hotel's breakfast and afternoon tea were excellent, showing a lot of care! The hotel has been renovated with wood, so soundproofing isn't the best, but they thoughtfully provide earplugs. The all-female service team is outstanding; they always greet you warmly when you go out, which is very comforting! They provide children's toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers. The 'comfort kit' in the room is super practical and I'm still using the items I took home. I don't know what brand the bedding in the room is, but it's incredibly comfortable!! Even my child was super happy with it!! The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel room's TV. It's too old, has poor clarity, and is incredibly slow to respond. Screen mirroring often freezes, and it takes a good 10 minutes just to exit. I strongly recommend replacing it with a TV that matches the Anlan brand's quality!!!

AAramiRexWe stayed here from 12–15 May during our honeymoon and decided to do our Yunnan trip entirely on our own. Dali was our first destination after landing in Kunming the night before, and it turned out to be the perfect start to our journey. Since our train arrived early at around 9:00 AM, I contacted the host a few days in advance to ask if an early check-in would be possible. Not only were they happy to accommodate our request, but they also kindly offered to pick us up from the station. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Mei, who gave us a tour of the property after check-in. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The architecture is absolutely stunning, from the outside, it feels like staying in a beautiful traditional palace within the old town, while the interior is thoughtfully modernized with every comfort you could need. Our room was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved the heated bathroom floors and the bidet, which was a pleasant surprise. There is also a rooftop area where guests can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. Guests are given several options, and parts of the menu change daily, which kept things interesting. What we looked forward to most every morning was the amazing yogurt served with homemade rose jam, it was honestly the best we've ever had. We mentioned how much we loved it, and at the end of our stay, Mei surprised us with a jar to take home. Such a thoughtful gesture! Every evening, the hotel served a warm dessert, introducing us to flavors that were completely new yet delicious. We were also treated to a complimentary afternoon tea. To make our honeymoon even more special, Mei and her team surprised us with a personalized cake, which was incredibly touching. The location is very convenient, with several Muslim-friendly eateries within a 10-minute walk, as well as convenience stores nearby. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the hospitality. Out of all the accommodations we stayed at during our Yunnan trip, this was by far the best. Mei went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, constantly sharing recommendations, travel tips, and local insights to help us make the most of our time in Dali. We genuinely felt cared for throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for honeymooners and newlyweds looking for a memorable and heartfelt experience. InsyaAllah, we will definitely return on our future trips to Dali.

GGuest UserThis stay was a truly delightful surprise! The front desk attendant was incredibly thoughtful, proactively informing us about a room upgrade and even letting us choose our preferred room. That feeling of being valued instantly made our day. The biggest surprise was the trending swing – every shot taken there turned out like a stunning, atmospheric photoshoot, no filters needed! Even better, the staff was attentive throughout. When they saw me wanting to take photos on the swing, they immediately came over to assist, helped me with poses, and the resulting pictures were absolutely perfect. The indoor Korean-style decor is also gorgeous, with warm lighting and exquisite furnishings, making every frame look like a scene from a K-drama. The view outside the window was also first-class. The interior is absolutely beautiful, with a charming 'small bridges and flowing water' vibe, plus a small lawn and an organic farm. It truly feels like a peaceful oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, are spacious and very roomy. The Thai SPA within the hotel is also excellent. It's perfect for a relaxing, 'lie-flat' style vacation.

The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. The computer keyboard was practically caked in grime, and don't even get me started on the sofa next to it – it looked very unhygienic. 2. **Dining:** The breakfast area was a bit cramped, with just four small tables by the street. If you're a party of more than two, you'd have to sit separately, or you might even have to stand and wait for a table. The coffee, however, was good. I only had breakfast once: a cold quinoa salad (see Photo 6) served with bread that had an overpowering artificial creamer flavor. I had been looking forward to the rice noodles for the next day, but serving didn't start until 8:30 AM, which was far too late for my rumbling stomach. Early risers and those who prefer hot meals should seriously consider other options or make alternative arrangements. 3. **Room (2nd floor) - Noise Issues:** Don't even think about getting any sleep at night. After 11 PM, there was still noise along the street, along with the clanging of the garbage truck. (Seriously, I'd strongly advise against staying in the Old Town.) The next day, it started pouring before dawn, and the sound of the heavy rain kept me awake as well. 4. **Room - Facility Issues:** The room I stayed in was supposedly the quietest in the entire hotel. It featured a large bathtub and a bathroom where the toilet and shower area lacked wet/dry separation. Unable to deal with the wet floor, I decided to shower in the bathtub. That's when I discovered Problem #1: the glass partition was completely transparent, with no curtain or frosted glass. The staff member claimed this was 'design.' Then came Fatal Problem #2: the bathtub had no running water, haha! 😄 5. **Room - Odor Issues:** Upon entering, there was a strong musty smell. The staff claimed it was due to 'raw wood,' but it's been 8 years and it still smells like that? Quite amusing. 6. **Staff (Pre-Check-in):** Before I even checked in, they asked me to cancel my booking on the platform and pay them privately for a discounted rate. I have this in writing. This is definitely a huge red flag, and I'm surprised they even dared to suggest it. 7. **Staff (General):** The individuals themselves were nice enough, but I was surprised to find that all the 'Jixiashan' staff were quite young, without uniforms, and seemingly without direct supervision, which gave a very disorganized and casual impression. 8. **Housekeeping:** I was quite satisfied with the housekeeping. Seeing the clean duvet and towels gave me peace of mind (P.S. the pillows were also comfortable). The hotel's facilities are very old; no matter how clean the bathroom tiles were, they still looked run-down, compounded by the dim lighting. Therefore, I feel the housekeeping staff here really have a tough job. 9. **Building Structure:** One morning, during a heavy downpour, when I opened my 2nd-floor room door, the entrance was essentially flooded up to my heels. It was quite a feat that the water didn't spread into the room. At night, there were no lights, so I had to grope my way back to the room along the dark corridor. It would be quite difficult for someone who doesn't remember their way (see Photos 1-2). 10. **Hotel Amenities:** One night, I heard the guest next door return, unable to open their door with the key, and had to call a staff member for help. They chatted for a bit outside the door before the staff member finally told the guest a 'trick': 'The key needs to be inserted a certain way, and the lock has a particular mechanism...' That's quite a struggle – needing a special technique just to get back to your room! 11. **Minor Details:** The room key had a very large, bulky leather tag attached to it. Absolutely no consideration for travelers on long journeys with limited luggage space. Who would want to carry such a bulky thing around? I originally had high hopes for the 'Jixiashan' brand. When I was in Shangri-La, I heard their Meili store had a collaboration with Kolon, which made me think they had good taste. This Dali Ancient City location is their first store, but it turned out to be such a low standard. Given the daily rate, I guess I understand why. This particular store cannot be found on 'Jixiashan's' mini-program; it's categorized under 'Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Le'.
