"I had such a lovely stay at Mengjing Yayuan Hotel Dali. Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the interior to the exterior, every corner feels thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The ambience really adds to the whole Dali experience. The location is perfect. It’s right in Dali Ancient City, near the South Gate, so everything is within walking distance. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very convenient as there are halal food options nearby, making it easy to find meals. The service was truly top-notch. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was how they prepared breakfast for us during check-out, just to make sure we didn’t leave on an empty stomach. S uch a small detail, but it meant a lot. I’m really glad I chose to stay here, and I would definitely come back again if I visit Dali."

"The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!"

"A truly perfect stay! Staying for two nights really allowed me to soak in the slow pace here. In the afternoon, I'd lazily sit by the window, facing Erhai Lake. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of the tranquil blue, and my mind and body completely relaxed. This is the holiday life I've always yearned for."

"First off, the hotel's location is pretty central, roughly equidistant from the Ancient City and Erhai Lake, making it excellent value for money. It's super convenient that you can rent and return electric scooters right outside the hotel entrance. Taxis also drop you off directly at the hotel door. I'd highly recommend the electric scooters – they're powerful and fast, but do be careful! The hotel's interior, especially the garden, is very clean and elegant, and it has a really warm vibe. Secondly, the service here is genuinely outstanding. From the moment we arrived (we took a taxi directly into the underground garage, and since there's no elevator, a hotel staff member immediately appeared to help us with our luggage – super prompt response!). During check-in, they brought us tea and water, then personally escorted us to our room, explaining Dalian's attractions and local delicacies along the way. Their attention to detail was exceptional. Throughout our stay, whenever we went downstairs to the common areas, the owner was incredibly welcoming. We booked rooms with fantastic views multiple times; on clear days, the clouds over Cangshan Mountain are breathtaking. It was a very comfortable stay. You can just go downstairs, chat with the owner, have some tea, or simply relax – the pace is wonderfully slow and enjoyable. If I ever come back to Dalian, this is the only place I'll stay!"

"This is the best boutique hotel I stayed at during my trip to Dali and Yunnan. The property is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. One of the highlights is the smart room system, including the intelligent toilet with bidet and other smart features that made the stay even more comfortable and convenient. The service was outstanding. The lady at the front desk was incredibly attentive, friendly, and responsive throughout my stay, always ready to assist whenever needed. And of course, I cannot forget the adorable little dog, “欢喜” – such a lovely mascot that added warmth and charm to the hotel experience! Another major advantage is the location. The hotel is situated just slightly away from the busy Old Town, allowing guests to enjoy a quieter environment while still being within easy walking distance of all the attractions. Unlike some accommodations inside the Old Town where you may need to drag your luggage through crowded streets, cars can stop directly in front of this hotel, making arrival and departure very convenient. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone planning a trip to Dali. If you’re deciding where to stay, this place is definitely worth considering. 😊"

"This hotel is conveniently located just off an alley within Dali Ancient City, easily accessible by taxi. It's perfect for travelers who enjoy a relaxed, nature-filled atmosphere. The courtyard, with its lush greenery and pond, is incredibly photogenic. We stayed on a rainy day, and they even provided a dryer and dehumidifier, which was a nice touch. Our room was in the back, so street noise wasn't an issue at night. It also had a small balcony, perfect for unwinding, and a tatami-style tea area, which I unfortunately didn't get to fully enjoy due to our schedule. The breakfast was a highlight – very nutritious and healthy, and the yuzu tea was delicious! The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay! "

"I stumbled upon Sheyu Courtyard when I was first deciding where to stay. Seeing that they had cats and dogs, I figured any owner who loves animals couldn't be bad, and I was right! It was absolutely amazing! The experience was incredible! The guys working at the homestay were all super enthusiastic! The room was fantastic in every way – clean and comfortable! Their latex pillows were especially comfy 😌. The staff actively helped with our luggage 🧳 and even shared sightseeing tips, which was super thoughtful! I particularly remember a small detail during check-in: my ID didn't have a cover, and after registering my information, one of the guys put a cover on it for me. This little detail really stuck with me! I loved all the cats and dogs in the courtyard, especially Niu Niu (the cow)! I took pictures of every one of them so I could have memories to look back on. On our last day, I specifically set aside some time to play with the little guys in the courtyard – it was so hard to leave! I will definitely be back again! Oh, and the steamed buns and dumplings from the breakfast place across the street were also delicious! They were freshly made!"
