"I had such a lovely stay at Mengjing Yayuan Hotel Dali.
Everything about this hotel is beautiful, from the interior to the exterior, every corner feels thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The ambience really adds to the whole Dali experience.
The location is perfect. It’s right in Dali Ancient City, near the South Gate, so everything is within walking distance. For Muslim travellers, it’s also very convenient as there are halal food options nearby, making it easy to find meals.
The service was truly top-notch. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was how they prepared breakfast for us during check-out, just to make sure we didn’t leave on an empty stomach. S

"This is the best boutique hotel I stayed at during my trip to Dali and Yunnan. The property is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed.
One of the highlights is the smart room system, including the intelligent toilet with bidet and other smart features that made the stay even more comfortable and convenient.
The service was outstanding. The lady at the front desk was incredibly attentive, friendly, and responsive throughout my stay, always ready to assist whenever needed.
And of course, I cannot forget the adorable little dog, “欢喜” – such a lovely mascot that added warmth and charm to the hotel experience!
Another major advantage is the location. The hotel is situated just slightly away from the busy Old Town, allowing guests to enjoy a quieter environment while still being within easy walking distance of all the attractions. Unlike some accommodations inside the Old Town where you may need to drag your luggage through crowded streets, cars can stop directly in front of this hotel, making arrival and departure very convenient.

"We travelled to Dali from Kunming by train. Before arriving, we called the hotel to arrange pickup from the station as we arrived late at 10pm. The hotel was fantastic as they arranged a driver to meet us. We booked the room with the 270 degree view. It was on the 4th and top floor with fantastic view of Erhai Lake. It had an outdoor area bigger than the room!. Although language was a barrier the staff went out of their way to help to make our stay very very pleasant. WeChat and Alipay is a must in Dali. The hotel is located inside a gated area and is very secure. Transport via Didi is easy and the hotel is close to town with train station only 20 minutes away."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a five-minute electric scooter ride from Shuanglang Ancient Town, making getting around super convenient. Situated right on the Erhai Lake, my room offered direct views of the beautiful lake, and I enjoyed stunning sunset views in the afternoon. The room itself was also great for photos, very Instagrammable! Upon arrival, staff helped with my luggage, and I was offered afternoon tea and fruit. They even provided recommendations for local food and tourist attractions, and there's a free electric scooter rental service. The front desk and management staff were incredibly friendly. The room facilities were complete, and the hygiene was excellent, everything was clean and tidy. The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing Erhai Lake, and plenty of disposable amenities were provided. The breakfast spread was extensive, including authentic Yunnan rice noodles, eggs, sweet potatoes, and many other options."

I stayed in the 'Cloud' room, which offered a 180-degree view of Erhai Lake from its balcony. Only the 'Flower' and 'Moon' rooms boast a 270-degree panoramic view, as one side of their balconies is unobstructed by walls. For instance, the 'Moon' room, as shown in the picture, also provides a glimpse of the Xingsheng Bridge to the left.
Qianyu provides complimentary fruits and beverages, and the breakfast spread is generous. There are also many restaurants nearby.

9964747I stumbled upon Sheyu Courtyard when I was first deciding where to stay. Seeing that they had cats and dogs, I figured any owner who loves animals couldn't be bad, and I was right! It was absolutely amazing! The experience was incredible! The guys working at the homestay were all super enthusiastic! The room was fantastic in every way – clean and comfortable! Their latex pillows were especially comfy 😌. The staff actively helped with our luggage 🧳 and even shared sightseeing tips, which was super thoughtful! I particularly remember a small detail during check-in: my ID didn't have a cover, and after registering my information, one of the guys put a cover on it for me. This little detail really stuck with me! I loved all the cats and dogs in the courtyard, especially Niu Niu (the cow)! I took pictures of every one of them so I could have memories to look back on. On our last day, I specifically set aside some time to play with the little guys in the courtyard – it was so hard to leave! I will definitely be back again! Oh, and the steamed buns and dumplings from the breakfast place across the street were also delicious! They were freshly made!

GGuest UserI saw Erhai Lake, admired Cangshan Mountain, and explored the ancient city, only to discover that the most beautiful scenery was actually right inside the hotel! 😄
In the evening, I even got to witness a breathtaking sunset over Erhai and Cangshan. It was incredibly therapeutic. Even though I've seen the sea before, the beauty of Erhai is truly unique and I like it even more.
The hotel boasts an excellent viewing platform, perfect for taking photos or simply unwinding.
The rooms and lobby are spotlessly clean. When extending my stay, I just had to inform the staff and they would tidy up the room, showing thoughtful service and meticulous hygiene.
It's very close to popular attractions like Yunxiang Mountain, Ideal State, and Xingsheng Bridge, offering convenient direct access.
I was also very pleased with the room. It had a large floor-to-ceiling window, providing excellent natural light, and I loved the layout. The inclusion of a Laifen hairdryer was a generous touch and it worked wonderfully.
Compared to the hotels we've stayed in Malaysia and Thailand, this place is simply paradise! Even hotels in Kunming fall short; they don't have such a magnificent view. Next time, I definitely want to try their sea view room!

GGuest UserWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn. The location is in the heart of Dali Old City.
The owner provided excellent service and was warm, friendly, and attentive. We were already in the ancient town when we booked the hotel and got dropped off in the wrong location so she personally walked over to find us. She also offered to drop us off at the train station stove we didn't utilize the free pick up.
The room is exactly as seen in the picture and was very large, clean and comfortable to stay in. The large windows in the rooms offered fresh mountain air, there was air conditioning/heating for those who preferred other temperature options as electric blankets in case it was too cold.
The view from the terrace upstairs is gorgeous. And the second floor has this adorable swinging lounge chair.
The breakfast was hearty, abundant, nutritious, and delicious. The inn also provided free bottled water and she reminded me not to buy water when she noticed that I did.
The owner was genuinely caring and attentive and made us feel right at home. She really goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable.
I would definitely come back to stay at Dali Old City Sushe Boutique Inn the next time I visit Dali and recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Dali ancient city.

The complimentary airport and train station transfers are a huge plus, and the service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic. They proactively help with all your luggage, big or small. The transfer vehicles are also very comfortable and spotless. Upon check-in, everything in the room is free except for the red wine – instant noodles, drinks, beer, water, coffee, yogurt, and Yunnan black tea are all complimentary. They bring a generous amount of fresh fruit daily, and there's 24-hour rice noodle service, which is a lifesaver for anyone not accustomed to local food; you'll never go hungry. Every evening, there's also tremella soup available. The front desk even has complimentary snacks, fruits, and flower cakes for guests to enjoy. And the room itself? Speechless. The videos and photos on their website are an exact, 1:1 representation of the actual rooms – absolutely no photo trickery. What you see is precisely what you get. The room is impeccably clean, and the array of amenities is extensive. My parents are usually quite picky about hotels, but they absolutely adored this one, praising everything from the room facilities to the balcony views and the spaciousness of the suite. They insisted that on their next trip to Dali, they must stay here again. And most importantly, the staff – from the front desk to the transfer drivers, the F&B team, the ladies who help with luggage, the gentlemen who deliver rice noodles and tremella soup at night, and the three cleaning ladies – everyone is incredibly polite, enthusiastic, and friendly. The owner of this hotel is truly fortunate to have assembled such a fantastic team. The hotel's location, combined with the suite facilities and the wonderful staff, makes for a top-tier experience. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone visiting Dali *must* stay at this hotel at least once – it's absolutely worth every penny!

The huge window gave us a wonderful view and the old town was a short lively walk straight down the hill. The only problem we had was when we had to leave early on the morning. We were locked in and couldn't phone anyone to come and unlick the door. This is also a fire hazard. Anyhow if they could work out a better system it would be perfect.

The experience was fantastic. I parked my car at the Peninsula parking lot, and the guesthouse staff came to pick us up directly. The moment I saw the room, I was completely captivated.
The location is superb – perfect for sightseeing, exploring the ancient town, and just a 50-meter walk to the boat dock. Restaurants are right downstairs.
The guesthouse provides daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and even a goodnight milk service. When I bought food back in the evening, the staff helped me with plates and even stored leftovers in the fridge. I'll definitely be back next time! Honestly, I highly recommend it!

Situated on Yuji Island, you can enjoy the shimmering waters of Erhai Lake from a lounge chair on the terrace – a tranquil oasis right at your doorstep. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and the hotel is filled with thoughtfully designed gardens and charming details, including a rooftop terrace perfect for photos! Beautiful scenery, the vibrant colors of Yunnan! Thank you to the butler for the attentive service! This is my first review on Ctrip, and I genuinely think this hotel is excellent! While my experience exploring Dali Ancient City was rather lukewarm, this hotel left a lasting impression.

YYuanyouyuan.This guesthouse was a real gem, easily a full five-star rating! The entire place is an elegant Bai-style courtyard, with quaint bridges and flowing water, creating a serene and refined atmosphere. Despite being right inside Dali Ancient City, it's completely shielded from the street noise, offering a rare sense of tranquility amidst the bustling area. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city on foot. We booked a mountain-view room with an exclusive terrace, and sitting there in the evening, enjoying the breeze, the view was so relaxing and truly set the perfect mood. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was neat and fresh, and the smart bathroom amenities were convenient and easy to use; all the hardware was very well-maintained. The owner was kind and thoughtful, and the check-in process was simple and smooth. They weren't intrusive at all, but were always quick to respond if we had any questions. Overall, the guesthouse has a strong ancient charm, quiet and healing. After a day of exploring the ancient city, returning to the courtyard was incredibly stress-relieving. The stay far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in the ancient city.
