"Traveling to Dali with my family, choosing Songyun Banshan Hotel was definitely a hit. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around, and parking is convenient. The rooms are spacious with great natural light, and the wet and dry areas are well-separated, with a full range of toiletries. Both my parents and the kids were very comfortable. The hotel environment is tranquil, surrounded by lush greenery, making walks and admiring the views very pleasant. Our butler, Allen, was incredibly thoughtful, proactively looking after us, and the breakfast catered to both adults and children. The terrace offers expansive views, and watching the Cangshan clouds, the sea of clouds, and the sunset over the sea with the family created a fantastic atmosphere. The hygiene standards are strict, and service is prompt. It's perfect for a short family getaway, and I genuinely recommend it to families traveling with children. However, it's worth noting that this area is in Haidong District, which is a bit far from both Dali Ancient City and Shuanglang Ancient Town. The environment and scenery are exceptional, facing Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain, and the service is also great. It's located within Ideal Bang, which has a complete range of snacks, supermarkets, bakeries, and milk tea shops."

"Atmosphere: The sea view is stunning, offering different sunrise and sunset views every day from every angle. Facilities: Well-equipped, the host even provided daily replenished disposable toiletries, a powerful hairdryer, and a wet/dry bathroom setup. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. The cleaning staff cleaned daily, and the room was odor-free. Service: The butler service was attentive and responsive. Public areas were elegant and clean with pleasant diffusers, and there was a self-service area for water and amenities."

"This was my first time visiting Dali, and I booked this hotel blindly online, but it turned out to be a great choice! Since I wasn't familiar with the area, the owner even came out to meet me and gave helpful directions to the nearby attractions. The service was excellent. They also recommended some delicious local dishes. The hotel itself was very clean and had a lovely ambiance, perfect for taking photos. I would definitely book this place again if I return to Dali."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Hidden Mist (listed on Trip.com as Santorini National Tide Sea View Resort). If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, outstanding hospitality, and easy access to the Dreamland Resort area, I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Location: The hotel is located within Dreamland Resort on the eastern side of Dali, approximately 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from the railway station, and around an hour from Dali Ancient City. We stayed near the Ancient City first before moving here, which I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore both sides of Dali. The resort is large, beautifully maintained, and very walkable. Complimentary golf cart shuttles regularly transport guests around the resort, while taxis are easy to arrange from the main entrance. There are quite a few staircases throughout the property, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. Service: The service was exceptional and one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Before we even arrived, the hotel contacted us by email and created a dedicated WeChat group with staff from different departments so we could ask questions or request assistance at any time. Everything felt organised, personal, and effortless. From the moment we arrived, a golf cart was waiting to collect us from the resort entrance. Throughout our stay, the staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The handwritten welcome note, housekeeping notes after each room clean, and staff asking what time would be most convenient to service our room were thoughtful touches that made us feel truly looked after. Although our booking only included a complimentary airport or railway station pickup, the hotel kindly arranged an airport drop-off instead because we had arrived from another part of Dali. This was greatly appreciated. Room & Cleanliness: We booked a room with a private garden overlooking Erhai Lake, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the peaceful lake view each morning quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything still feels new and exceptionally clean. The large soaking bath, with bath milk replenished daily, was perfect after a day of exploring. The shower had excellent water pressure. As someone with very long hair, I found the shampoo and conditioner a little drying, so I would recommend bringing your own. The secure WiFi was reliable and fast enough for both my husband and me to work during our stay. Breakfast & Dining: Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a Western breakfast and a local Yunnan set menu. We tried both, and every meal was fresh, well presented, and delicious. As we had an early flight on our final morning, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, another thoughtful gesture that reflected the level of service throughout our stay. Our booking also included complimentary afternoon tea with cakes and fresh fruit. It would have been even better if guests could also choose a complimentary tea or coffee. The room includes quality tea, a premium kettle, and a mini fridge, although adding coffee would be a welcome touch, especially in Yunnan. Facilities & Surroundings: The hotel has a convenient power bank rental station in the lobby, and Dreamland Resort is full of beautiful cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. Flomis Garden is less than a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Our booking also included a traditional tea ceremony experience, which unfortunately we did not have time to attend. We also received a beautiful woodblock print as a farewell gift, which was a lovely surprise. Overall: Hidden Mist combines beautiful accommodation with genuinely outstanding hospitality. "Extremely satisfied! The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the South Gate of the old city, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. We stayed in a rooftop room with an absolutely stunning view! We had a close-up look at the majestic Cangshan Mountains and the mysterious clouds circling them. The service was very attentive! The front desk staff were so kind, and a charming young man enthusiastically helped us with our luggage both when checking in and checking out. [Room Perks] Brand-name hydrating facial mask: After a relaxing bath in the evening with bath salts and rose petals, applying a face mask was pure bliss!"

"This guesthouse is very close to the airport, which I think is a great location for exploring the Ideal Garden and Wenbi Village. It's a bit far from Dali Ancient City, but the facilities here are brand new and very clean. The most important thing, though, is the exceptional service. Our concierge, Xiao Sun, provided proactive assistance throughout our stay, unlike other places where you have to call for service. She constantly checked if we needed anything and helped us plan ahead. She was truly accommodating. We had children with us, and she even gave them a 'Wa Mao' fridge magnet and a phone charm. This was service above and beyond expectations. Highly recommended and excellent value for money!"

"First time visiting Dali with my elderly mother. We stayed in Dali Ancient City (Haixi) for the first two nights, experiencing its lively bustle. For the latter two nights, I specifically booked a hotel near Shuanglang Ancient Town (Haidong). After comparing several options, I chose this cliffside seaview guesthouse. Upon arrival, whether in the guesthouse garden or in the room, we had unobstructed views of the blue sky, white clouds, Cangshan Mountains, and Erhai Lake. This trip was absolutely worthwhile! 😊 The guesthouse service was also good, and they even offered complimentary bedtime milk. 🥛🥛"

"Five-star perfect review! We arrived at the guesthouse past 11 PM, and I was worried we might be disturbing the staff. But to my surprise, the owner was incredibly warm and came right down to help us with our luggage. He was super friendly and thoughtful, and very patient throughout! Everything was perfectly arranged, no complaints at all, and the stay was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it to everyone! The location is an added bonus; you can walk directly to Nanmen Street in 3-5 minutes, which makes getting around and finding food super convenient. The location is excellent. The overall environment is comfortable, and the service is top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit. Highly recommended!"
