We stayed in 5 hotels during our stay in Japan. This one was a disappointment. We got attitude from the staff. The rooms reeked of smoke. When I went down to exchange my room I was told the place was sold out (didn't believe it). Rooms were your typical tiny rooms and old-fashioned. Yes, the rooms were cheap, but I would have to place this hotel way below a Motel 6. Our visit was before the pandemic so masks and hand sanitizers were not required.

No false from the station 2 minutes. The facilities are new and clean, complete with air cleaners and no complaints. If you dare to say that the bed is too big for the size of the room, and there is no width with the table counter, and the room feels too narrow? Because the room is small 43 inches? The wall hanging TV is more pressing. Breakfast is at a cafe on the 1 floor. There are few kinds of side dishes, but for me, the western style group, there were surprisingly many kinds of bread (there are pancakes) and auto toaster? I was very happy to have a sgrmono that I came back to the bottom. There are many drinks. Also, the people here were very squeezed and the response was very good. There are many convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel. It is recommended overall.

The hotel staff are polite and the location is okay. The room I stayed in was really small. If there were more than one large suitcase, there would probably be no room to open it. I just forgot to take pictures.

We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.

An exclusive sanctuary high above Japans cosmopolitan capital Aman Tokyo is Amans first urban concept hotel situated adjacent to the Otemachi Forest. Offering birds eye views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and surrounding Tokyo landmarks the hotel features a serene Aman Spa and a peaceful inner garden. Surrounded by engawa a wooden feature dividing the inside and out the soaring lobby rises nearly 30 metres.
Aman Tokyo is a monument to the modern-day Japanese capital - a place where urban dynamism is tempered with serenity.
Perched above the Tokyo skyline the private dining room and boardroom are perfect for both on- and off-duty occasions.

Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

We got the room that was bigger than the average room. The hotel is clean. The location was great too. The subway Just the opposite of the hotel and very near to Tsukiji subway station. Very near to ginza area. There are 3 convenient store nearby, 1 just beside the hotel. We are from Indonesia, and were very lucky to meet the Indonesian’ receptiont, she was very kind. And the japanese receptiont were very helpful too. They let us keep our luggage at the reception before the check in time. Its a wonderful stay! Very recommended and will be back for sure :)

I didn't expect that such a high-end hotel breakfast is a set meal, and it is very exquisite, nutritious and eye-catching.
There was a Cantonese-speaking mature man at the front desk who was very impatient with the Mandarin-speaking guests. When we couldn't find the room and the elevator, he didn't guide us. When we asked about the nearby meals, he said coldly that he didn't know. The Japanese reception ladies work hard to provide service suggestions and guidance. Let us see the quality and education of Japanese tourism industry people.
The room accessories are all exquisite and thoughtful. Peninsula services in Tokyo exceed those in Hong Kong.
Encounter a Japanese wedding during breakfast time, borrow the breakfast space in the lobby, but it is not noisy, and feel the moment of happiness together. Blessed.
Next time try to avoid the Hong Kong-style Cantonese-speaking waiter.

1. It is still a newly renovated hotel. There is a lot of wood in the lobby that smells bad, but there is no problem in the room. You don’t have to worry too much about smell and formaldehyde (although it is colorless and odorless). There is a Sharp air purifier in the room, which can promote circulation when turned on.
2. I stayed at 2 Mitsui Gardens in total during this trip in Japan. The hardware of this hotel is very new, and the color scheme does not look like the black one in Kyoto. It looks very comfortable, and the hygiene is very good in all aspects. It deserves praise.
3. The large bathhouse is as good as the one I stayed at before. If Mitsui Garden guests like to take a bath, it is really a perfect match.
4. The location is very good. It is a 4-6 minute walk from Ginza Higashi Subway Station and about a 10-minute walk from Mitsukoshi Isetan. Friends who like shopping are in luck. Moreover, because of the good location, it is very quick to go to Sensoji Temple and other places. Tokyo Tower is not far away, and it only takes about 40 minutes to go to Tokyo Disney, which is really invincible.
5. There is a Panasonic washing machine in the room. I am very happy that I have been traveling in Osaka and Kyoto for 10 days. I can go downstairs to get bags of laundry detergent, which is very convenient.
6. The biggest disadvantage is that if you stay for two consecutive days, the bedding will not be changed in the middle. This is not only informed on TV, but also called and confirmed by the service staff. It is also like this. At most, you will be given a new set. In other words, it is FOR EARTH, but is the cost reduction so high? There was also a cleaning in the middle of the two nights. Only the room trash cans were replaced, the bathroom trash cans were confiscated, and the beds were not made. Is this also a rule? Hope it improves!

Adequate room size, clean (comes with air filter), complete amenities are provided and then some. They also have a self-service, first-come-first-serve locker/baggage room in case you arrive early before check-in time ( I believe it's also available if you checked-out and require a place to leave your luggage before moving to your next destination). Location wise, although it was manageable, it's still quite a distance from Shinjuku Stn and can be a challenge if lugging a suitcase or traveling with a kid. Overall is was a good experience, a nice comfortable space worth its price tag.

Outstanding
GGuest UserShiba Park Hotel is a beautiful, clean, quiet, elegant, fairly priced, stylish & cozy place. The rooms are large enough and the bathroom is modern, with all the amenities. In the room there is a safe, a large TV, comfortable sleepers and 2 brown cotton robes to wear when relaxing. We recommend to stay in this hotel to any tourist visiting the city, as it’s close to Daimon subway station and to many other attractions (Tokyo tower and Zojo-ji temple). Nice service, although the receptionists are a little slow. At floor 4 there’s a self service laundry (washer, drier and ironing board) that you can use with just 400 yens, at floor 8 there’s a water dispenser, and at floor 5 you can find a vending machine with cold water, sodas and beer! You can drink unlimited free coffee and tea at the main floor, and there’s a full restaurant at the entrance.
CChia-linExcellent four star hotel for the value and price. Unfortunately they no longer office concierge service to book restaurants. However staff is very nice and all speak English fluently, available 24 hours. Would recommend and return.
CChengPerfect location for shopping with major malls located with 10mins walk. The hygiene of the street outside the hotel is below expectation but that’s not what the hotel is responsible for. Type C port next to the bed makes charging convenient. The self laundry service costs 600 yen for 2-hour washing and drying without the need to bring detergent. Another convenient service is the drinking fountain on each floor with the choice of iced, room temperature and hot water.
KKaren TravellerWe book this hotel due to the free shuttle bus service to Disneyland and the appointment need to be made 2 months ago via the website . The shuttle bus is quite full but makes us very convenient to the park. We took the Limousine Bus from NRT airport straight to the hotel with around 1.5 hours and you can also buy the return ticket from the front desk. The transportation support of this hotel is awesome ! We also book a car nearby in Nippon car rental and only take us 5 mins walking distance to the car pick up point , the overnight parking charge is affordable with only 1000 yen per night. Recommended this hotel to those travellers looking for fast and convenient transportation time.
Ppraty-pp👍 good. And recommended. The hotel is perfectly located right next to the Akihabara Station. 🚉 the location is great not just for the connectivity but also shopping - Yodibashi Akiba for all electronics. There’s UniQlo, GU, and a lot of restaurants nearby.
Typical of Japanese hotels, the room sizes are quite small. It’s difficult to open two luggage at the same time. 😢
The room was clean, bathroom good as well. Bathtub 🛁 is good 👍.
AAnonymous UserHighly recommend anyone who wants to stay in Ginza and wants an onsen within the hotel as well. Can't explain the joy of coming back after a long day of 25k steps and soaking in an onsen. The hotel provides a bathrobe & outdoor slippers (not for room) so you can use that to move about the hotel. The onsen has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well, so all you have to do is bring a towel that the hotel also provides. For anyone wondering, the hotel also has a coin operated washer and dryer. Can't remember the exact cost, but one cycle of washing and drying probably amounted to about 300 yen! Worth it to avoid doing laundry at home.
For the room itself, although it is small, with some expert maneuvering, we were able to open up 1 large and 1 small luggage to pack things. The is a typical Japanese sized room aka small, but it's rather functional so it works if you're just looking to get some shut eye. All in all, I recommend this hotel!
MMurahariOnly 10 minutes walk from Ikebukuro Station (Exit North/W) along the way there are several shops including konbinis like Lawson and Family Mart.. there's also an AEON supermarket right next door! Love that this quiet neighborhood has so many facilities next to each other. Infront of the property there's a halal Pakistani Restaurant which adds a bonus for any traveller staying there. Also, the onsen within the property was what attracted me in the first place, Japan isn't Japan w/o a trip to an onsen and having one downstairs in the hotel is a convenient relief after a long day of sightseeing around Tokyo! Will definetly return for future stays!
LLauren YeungSent email prior arrival, not very helpful and they specifically mentioned they do not have concierge service, which is sad to hear as I visit quite often prior Covid, they were happy to help with everything, now they would just say they are not able to help 🤷🏻♀️
The location of the hotel is definitely 5 stars! Right in the middle of the city, it’s so convenient to go around for shopping or food
Room size is quite small, but not a big deal since we spend most of the time out.
But would consider trying other ones next time after seeing the change of service over the years 🥲
GGuest UserThe hotel uses self-service check-in. This time, we have two adults and a one-and-a-half-year-old baby. The room looks very big in the photo, but it would be a bit awkward to put two suitcases in. This time, I was more disappointed when I entered the room. I found that the cleaning was not very clean, there was a lot of hair from the previous tenant, and there was dust on the refrigerator. The towels provided by the hotel have a strong smell of bleach, so it is recommended to bring your own towels.
The location is about 15 minutes from the station. The only good thing is that the eel rice next door is delicious.
GGuest UserGreat hotel located in a wonderful area of Tokyo! The room was expectedly small, but good for two average sized women. Train and bus stations located at a 10-15 mins walking distance, which was very convenient for getting around the city. Beds were very sturdy, not my preference. Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy.
