"Getting to the hotel from the central station requires a rather long bus ride, and buses only come once an hour, so if you miss one, you'll have a long wait. On the plus side, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and you can see Lake Thun from the hotel balcony, which offers lovely views. The front desk service was professional, warm, and attentive. However, the room facilities are outdated, and the bathroom had a persistent sewer smell at night. Even closing the bathroom door didn't help; we had to leave the balcony door open to be able to sleep."

"Hotel Krebs is very conveniently located, just about a 3-minute walk from the train station, making it extremely easy to reach even with luggage. This was another lovely stay at Hotel Krebs, and it felt great to return once again. The staff were as kind and welcoming as ever, with consistently warm hospitality that made the stay very comfortable and familiar. Guests staying at the hotel receive a 10% discount at the hotel’s restaurant, which is also a well-known and popular restaurant among locals. The food quality and atmosphere make it well worth dining there. In addition, the hotel offers discounts on various activities in Interlaken, which is a nice benefit for travelers planning to explore the area."

"Not bad. The staff were very enthusiastic, and there's a private balcony where you can see the snowy mountains as soon as you open it."

The outlets included USB and Type-C charging ports, so I didn't need an adapter and had no charging anxiety. The small table and chair were a nice touch, perfect for some light work."

"Location The hotel is centrally located in Interlaken. Interlaken Ost train station is about an 8-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just about 100 meters away. This is very convenient for excursions in the region. Room The room was beautifully decorated in an appealing Baroque style, making it cozy and elegant. We also received a nice upgrade to a room with a balcony, which made our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a drawback: the silicone joints in the shower showed mold. This is unacceptable in a 4-star hotel. Staff / Reception At check-in, Pierre truly impressed us: he was very friendly, professional, courteous, and service-oriented. The rest of the staff was generally attentive and friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unsure and not always entirely competent. Language skills were an issue: German is only spoken to a limited extent, and Swiss German not at all, which sometimes complicated communication. Breakfast The breakfast, unfortunately, was very disappointing and did not match the quality expected of a 4-star hotel. • There was no declaration or allergen labeling for the food. • The products offered seemed cheap and stale: scrambled eggs from a carton, hard pretzels from the day before, and pastries and bread that were consistently low-quality frozen goods. On the positive side, the reception actively asked for our feedback after breakfast. After our honest comments, something was brought to our room as an apology. Unfortunately, this included some already moldy berries, which negated the good gesture. Overall Impression Despite the beautiful central location, the generally very nice room with a balcony upgrade, and especially Pierre's outstanding service, our stay was overall disappointing. The mold in the shower joints and the low-quality breakfast left a negative impression. For the price and star category, we would have expected significantly more cleanliness and quality. Therefore, we would not recommend this hotel."

"The views were incredible! We could see Jungfraujoch right from our balcony, and there were even paragliders in the sky – truly unbeatable scenery. The hotel provided free public transport cards, which were super convenient for getting to both sides of the lake by bus. The bus stop was just a two-minute walk from the hotel, and right there, you'll find a chocolate shop with amazing chocolate ice cream."

"Facilities: Absolutely loved the room, it was an unexpected delight. It was spacious, almost like a mini-suite, with a charming old European house vibe. The building itself is historic, filled with antique items. The decor was very comfortable, and the bed was great. The room had multiple balconies and windows with mountain views, and even old-fashioned keys, all contributing to a very reassuring atmosphere. There's also a public common area on the first floor where you can eat food brought from outside. Breakfast was good, very Swiss. Cleanliness: Very clean, especially the bathroom. Compared to other old houses I've stayed in, there weren't many insects here. It was cleaned daily. Environment: It's very close to the East Station, but actually only a twenty-minute walk to the West Station, making it super convenient to get to the town's main attractions and shopping areas. It's also very quiet. Service: The gentleman at the front desk during check-in was incredibly enthusiastic and meticulously explained everything. We also received an Interlaken City Card, which offers free public transport. Another lady was also very welcoming. One day later, a male staff member wasn't quite as understanding, but he still provided the necessary service, so it wasn't a big deal. It seemed like most of the hotel guests were Asian."

"I stayed here during the summer. Overall, the hotel may suit many travellers. However, based on my personal experience, the room I stayed in may not be ideal for guests who are very sensitive to light or noise. Before sunset, the room did not feel completely dark, so guests who prefer a fully dark room for sleeping may want to take this into consideration. I also noticed some noise from the corridor, doors, upstairs movement, and the road, so it may not be the best choice for guests who need a very quiet room. This is only my personal experience from the room I stayed in, and other rooms or stays may be different."

"The hotel I stayed at this time was very comfortable, but what really impressed me was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious, making me feel incredibly pampered first thing in the morning. Fresh ingredients were used, and the seasoning was just right – I couldn't help but overeat! The dining area had a bright and clean atmosphere, and the staff were very attentive. Thanks to them, I was able to start my day in a great mood. You often see reviews mentioning 'hotels with delicious breakfast,' but this place truly lives up to that. It's a hotel I'd want to stay at again just to enjoy the breakfast. Very satisfied."
