Longxing Temple is a thousand-year-old temple hidden in the bustling downtown area of Pengzhou. Founded during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it has a history of over 1,600 years. Originally named "Daikong Temple," it was renamed several times before being named Longxing Temple in the Tang Dynasty, a name it retains to this day. Together with the four corner pagodas, it forms a Vajrasana-style layout, modeled after the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, India, which is rare among temples in Western Sichuan. The niches on the outer walls of the pagoda house thousands of jade and bronze Buddha statues. A circle of prayer wheels surrounds the base of the pagoda. The guides at Sanxingdui were excellent, helping me understand the mysteries of the ancient Shu civilization. It's just a shame that there were so many visitors that it was difficult to get close enough to examine some of the exhibits. But it's definitely worth coming back. Before I go, I plan to read more related books, listen more carefully to the explanations, and truly appreciate the awe behind the artifacts.

It's beautiful! The antique-style street is very distinctive, with its water streets, bridges, and flowing streams. The Longxing Temple Pagoda is a particularly charming addition. The food street has a strong local flavor, and the cultural attractions, centered around a traditional Chinese medicine market, regularly host related cultural events. I highly recommend visiting.

The Sichuan Cuisine Museum is unique; it's a living museum where you can taste the local flavors. The rustic and elegant courtyard, typical of western Sichuan, houses antique kitchen utensils and ancient books, offering insights into the development of Sichuan cuisine. Visitors can watch demonstrations of fermented broad bean paste making and cooking techniques, and sample local snacks, immersing themselves in the intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan. Combining sightseeing and dining, it's a fun and educational experience, a feast for the senses, and well worth a visit.

This trip will be especially fun for anyone interested in ancient stuff. What makes Dujiangyan interesting is seeing how ancient people understood water management and built this whole water project—it’s impressive to think about how much they knew and prepared back then. If that kind of history and engineering appeals to you, you’ll enjoy it a lot more than a casual sightseeing stop.Strong tip: enter from Door 6. I highly recommend this entrance. It makes the whole trip mostly downhill, with not much uphill walking, so the visit is much more comfortable.Be ready for one thing: you’ll need to walk across a suspension bridge. Expect a shaky, wobbly walk—it’s part of the experience. As far as I could tell, that’s the only way to go down to the main entrance without going backwards.Overall, the ticket is worth it—especially for ancient-history and ancient-engineering fans - and the door 6 route makes it smooth, downward walk.

The Sino-French Traditional Town is located in Bailu Town, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. It is a large-scale comprehensive tourist area integrating tourism, vacation, leisure and sightseeing. In the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, Bailu Town was severely damaged. The famous Shangshuyuan in Sichuan and Chongqing, the century-old Sino-French Bridge and other ancient French buildings were destroyed, which is a pity. In the post-earthquake reconstruction, Bailu Town was rebuilt with the theme of "Sino-French Traditional Town".

Since we were already there, we decided to stop by. The scenery was surprisingly nice, and it was quite peaceful with few people. There was even a thatched cottage by Du Fu. Strolling through the garden this time of year was very pleasant, and there were fewer mosquitoes, although I still got bitten a couple of times, haha!

The flowers were so beautiful, it felt like a sea of flowers and a mountain of blossoms. Seeing the pink lilies in person was especially special; it was a truly unique experience. They smelled wonderful, unlike any other flower, and their symbolism was lovely too.
