Guangtou Mountain is located within Micaoshan Town, Wangcang County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It is situated at the southern foot of the Micaoshan National Nature Reserve and serves as the boundary mountain between Micaoshan Town and Yanhe Town, with its main peak at an altitude of approx. 2276.4 m. The mountain terrain here is majestic, resembling a lotus leaf, and towers into the clouds. The mountain is rich in wild flora and fauna, with dense pine and fir forests and towering ancient trees. It is a state-owned forest area and also a provincial forest park. This place offers scenery in all four seasons: enjoy azaleas in spring and red leaves in the fall. From April to May each year, nearly 10,000 mu of alpine azaleas bloom in succession, with trees reaching heights of 6–7 m. Red, white, pink, and purple flowers cover the mountains, as brilliant as colorful clouds. In late fall, the mountains are covered in colorful forests like an overturned palette, with red maples, boxwoods, and green pines intertwined and reflecting each other, and the forest is dyed in layers. It is a premier destination for fall foliage viewing in northern Sichuan. Standing at the summit, you can overlook the entire Yanjing River Grand Canyon and gaze at the rolling mountains and surging sea of clouds. It is a great place for hiking, photography, and getting close to nature.Wangcang · 39.9km from downtown

Qingxi Ancient City

Qingxi Ancient Town (a national AAA-level tourist Attraction) is an ancient border town with a long history of more than 1,700 years. During the Three Kingdoms era, the Shu general Liao Hua once cultivated land and garrisoned here. It was also here that perhaps the most successful sneak attack in the history of ancient Chinese warfare took place. The Wei general Deng Ai wrapped himself in a felt and sneaked across the Motianling Mountains to capture Jiangyou and Chengdu and destroy Shu. For many years, this place has always been a border town that has been relied on by successive dynasties. The ancient city covers an area of about 300 mu. It has been the county government of prefectures and counties many times in history. Before 1951, it was also the seat of Qingchuan County. The ancient city is located in the location of "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" and "Five Horses Galloping in the Trough". Its shape is like a "boot" and the gate is like a "jar", so it is also called "Shoe City" and "Wang City". "Catching a turtle in a jar" and "Please enter the jar" come from this. To this day, the small city still preserves a relatively complete Ming Dynasty fortress pattern and the Ming and Qing architectural complex in northern Sichuan, with an ancient and simple style. This place controls the Yinping Ancient Road, one of the ancient Shu Roads, and further ahead are towering mountains. Officials, messengers, merchants, even prisoners of the court, or down-and-out literati would stop here to rest before continuing their next unpredictable journey. Qingxi Ancient City is not only rich in Three Kingdoms culture, but also closely related to the royal secrets. Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yunwen, once lived in seclusion in Huayan Temple here. Qingxi Ancient City is a place where Hui and Han people live together and multiple religions coexist. The Hui and Han people live in harmony here. The strong Islamic residential arch architecture, the magnificent mosques and the surrounding Catholic churches, Taoist temples and Buddhist temples complement each other and become a beautiful scenery of Qingxi Ancient City. Walking in Qingxi Ancient City, you are simple, otherworldly and happy. The ancient city of Qingxi also left its own glorious chapter in the history of China's revolutionary war. In 1934, in order to cover the main force of the Red Army crossing the Jialing River and attacking Mianzhu, Li Xiannian led his troops to fight with Hu Zongnan's troops in Motianling, successfully covering the main force of the Red Army to the north, so there are still remains of the Red Army Bridge in Tangjiahe; in 1950, the People's Liberation Army entered Sichuan through the Yinping Ancient Road and liberated Qingxi and Jiangyou. The vicissitudes of the past are now just a joke. Today, the ancient city of Qingxi, which has experienced the severe disaster of the Wenchuan earthquake, has regained new vitality in the reconstruction and has become a popular tourist Attraction in northern Sichuan.Qingchuan · 39.6km from downtown

Bolingou Ancient Town is located in Yuanba District under the jurisdiction of Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It is located at the strategic point of the ancient Shu Road. After the Han Dynasty, the eastern defense of Shu was empty, so a city was built at Bolinyi on the southern road of Shu Road, and the Shu Road was connected with Langyuan and other cities. Bolingou still retains its ancient style, and the ancient buildings and houses are well preserved, which can be called the "specimen" of the remaining houses in northern Sichuan. There are more than 500 meters of stone slabs on the street, and the ancient buildings with beams on both sides of the street are still there, and the Shu Road style is still preserved. There are five famous scenic spots in Berlin Valley: Jinlan Temple representing yellow, Chilan Temple representing red, Lantan Temple representing black, and Lanli Temple representing white. The above four temples are the four major sacred forests in Berlin Valley, while the one representing blue is an ancient bridge called Lanxi Bridge.Guangyuan · 38.7km from downtown

I don't want to go there a second time. Although it's free, the scenic area is poorly managed and parking for self-driving cars is very expensive.

The one-hour show features a light show, naked-eye 3D, and dance performances depicting characters and stories from the Three Kingdoms period. It's worth seeing, and the ticket price is reasonable.

The Jialing River in Guangyuan city offers free cruises. The river meanders through the city, offering pleasant scenery along its banks. You can stroll along the riverbank and enjoy the breeze, or pay to take a boat trip and appreciate the city's landscape from a different perspective. The evening light is the best time for taking photos and watching the sunset. There's no fixed time limit for your visit; a short stroll along the way is very relaxing, and parking is convenient for those driving.

Berlin Ancient Town is known as "Romantic Love Town and Beautiful Water Town Wetland". Ji Fuzheng, a nationally renowned expert on local folk architecture, calls it "Little Jiuzhaigou in the Valley". The Qin and Han Dynasty Ancient Street in the ancient town is known as a "living specimen" of northern Sichuan folk houses and is the only well-preserved "rammed earth ancient town" in the southwest region.

Tianxiong Pass is 5 kilometers away from Guangyuan Zhaohua Ancient City. It is an important part of "Niu Shou Xiongguan", one of the eight scenic spots in ancient Zhaohua. It was built in the Spring and Autumn Period and is an important pass on the Jinniu Ancient Shu Road. It got its name because of its magnificent pass. Climbing the Xiongguan Pass and overlooking the Tai Chi wonders of Zhaohua's mountains and waters, you will feel relaxed and happy, and dream back to Shu Han.
