Pros:
The room is clean and tidy. Can have the rooms clean daily and toiletries are replenished daily.
We appreciate the free mini bar!
Very good selection of breakfast
Not too central, but there are nearby bus stops.
Near Ningxia Market.
A Starbucks Reserve shares a building with the hotel
A Carrefour Market is just across, too.
Cons
It's a bit of a walk if you prefer taking the train.

Dear Doubletree by Hilton Taipei,
I would like to offer my compliments to your dedicated team for our very enjoyable stay in your hotel from 3-7 June 2024.
We stayed in rooms 1203 and 1205 and the reservation was made under Ms Erica Tan.
I had stayed in some 5 star hotels such as Shang Ri La Singapore, Westin Singapore, Ritz Carlton Singapore, Kempinski Xiamen to name a few but my stay in Doubletree by Hilton Taipei was one of the most comfortable and pleasant.
The check in by the warm and friendly reception staff was efficient and smooth.
When my daughter accidentally dropped one of the delicious welcome Hilton cookies on the floor, the reception staff quickly replaced it with a warm smile.
When my daughter teared after knowing that there isn’t a swimming pool in the premise, your reception staff, Tina, immediately walked up to us with a map and suggested that we can go to a nearby swimming pool facilities.
Tina also gave us some excellent food suggestions. We had a very satisfying and affordable meal at the Michelin recommended Ji Jia Zhuan ( 鸡家庄), thanks to her recommendation :)
Whenever we return to the hotel from a day of sightseeing, the reception team on duty never failed to greet us in a warm and friendly manner. We felt genuinely welcomed:)
The modern Japandi style rooms and bathrooms are kept in an excellent condition and feel brand new. We especially like how bright, airy and spacious the rooms are.
Kudos to the housekeepers ( Ms Cai Xiu Hui 蔡秀慧阿姨) on level 12 who kept our rooms 1203 and 1205 so clean and comfortable. They always chat amicably with us and confirmed with us if we need any housekeeping service.
The TV entertainment system with its 47 channels ( including TLC, Discovery) , Netflix, YouTube and IQiYi really impressed us.
The semi buffet style daily breakfast sets
( Chinese, Japanese and Western) are healthy and delish and we really looked forward to breakfast every morning.
We hope that Chinese baos (包子)and dim sum pastry such as you tiao ( 油条、蛋饼)can also be offered in future when we next pay a visit to your hotel :)
We would also like to thank your reception staff and housekeepers who helped my mom who stayed in room 1205 on 6 June when the toilet encountered some flushing issues.
My mom had approached the reception staff at around 4 pm on 6 June and the very helpful male reception staff accompanied her to her room and helped remediate the problem along with the housekeeper. She was very impressed by how efficient and friendly your staff were.
All in all, your team has done a great job in our stay. Their service attitude are genuine and warm :) My daughter enjoyed her stay so
much that she kept remarking she would like to extend our stay to 2 more weeks:)
We hope you will pass on the compliments to your team and the staff we named, as a gesture of our appreciation.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close walk to Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport MRT station for transportation (just need to figure out the right exit to enter or exit the station), walking distance to Ximenting for shopping, there are lots of eateries nearby, Chengzhong Market (城中市场 translate to Market in the city), a local market, is walking distance with lots of local food stalls.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby area is quite spacious with some longish siting area. There is no common area to work though.
We booked 2 types of room for our group. Share Studio and Classic Twin.
The Share Studio comes with 4 single beds, no window, but spacious. However, the toilet ergonomics not so good as there is no space to place toiletries in the shower cubicle except on the floor. 1 bit towel and a small towel are provided for, together with 2 paper cups for each bed. Each bed has a luggage storage area under the bed, a lockable drawer, and a small compartment for storing things. Each bed comes with a small retractable desk with its own light at the foot of the bed.
The Classic Twin has better ergonomics in the toilet, and has windows to get ventilation (if needed). This room is considered more premium than the Share Studio, it comes with tea and coffee, and ceramic cups.
In each room a water jug is provided for, and at least 2 water stations are available on each floor.
Will I stay here again? Definitely.

The hotel’s located in a really nice area where there is the main bus line in front of it and about 10 mins walk to Taipei Main Station. It is also really close to Ximending Walking Street and night market, only 4-5 minutes walk. The staff is nice and welcoming. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast so in the common area in front of the front desk, there are only few instant noodle packages and some beverage for guests to purchase. They also helped me a lot when I asked if they have a microwave so I can warm up my food. They helped me right away and gave me the nicely warm food in about 10 minutes. So nice of them. The room is quite small imo and not really well furnished as I expected. There’s no closet in the room so they only have a rack hanging above the table which I find pretty weird but amusing to look at. The only thing I have a slight complaint about is the wifi signal. It’s pretty bad in my room (my room is the first room, in the corner). Also, my 5G doesn’t work well in my room even though it worked perfectly outside of the hotel. If you plan to stay a few nights in the center area and just need a room to sleep, I think this hotel is a good choice.

Was relatively spacious, but the cleanliness of the hotel building could be better. Rooms itself were acceptable in terms of cleanliness but look abit dated.
Location wise was decent, 11 mins walk to taipei nain station metro and HSR. 8 mins walk to the red line metro.
Issue is the timing to make rooms is just a very short window, like 2pm-5pm and then the service crew is off work. So need to plan ahead for dealing with any issues in the room.
Soundproofing is also quite bad. Can hear people talking and using their toilet taps at night.
If you are on a budget, this place is an acceptable option, but not the most ideal. There are better options in the market. However if you need a cheap deal last min, it is not a bad option.

We stayed at Taipei's most iconic hotel, and it was a memorable experience! While the decor is a bit old-fashioned, it truly represents the charm of the city. The lobby is grand and spacious, making a striking impression upon arrival. The facilities were more than sufficient, and the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. A must-visit when traveling to Taipei!

I had a fantastic stay. The room was spacious and offered a lovely view from the 13th floor. The hotel's location is just a 5-minute walk to the metro, making it super convenient for exploring the area. There are also two handy convenience stores nearby, which made grabbing snacks and essentials a breeze. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were attentive. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location!

Outstanding
MMiko BayuajiIt's a great hotel with great facility and great location. It has great and instaworthy design.n
Well, when it comes to value to money, this hotel is a let down.
The price is overrated compare to the added value of the room and service you can get.
Unless you really have high budget for hotel stay so that you can afford their suites room in high floor, the room (including its view) is just a so so (compare to its price)
The most let down is their breakfast service in Yen. It consistently gave me an unfair table placement during my stay. Fyi, I am a non chinese asian solo traveller. I always come to the breakfast place quite early before 7 AM so that there are so many empty table. The restaurant officer always escort me to sit in small table with almost no view. Everytime i asked why i can't sit in the more better better place, they will answer that the tables are for more than 2 person. Again, i arrived very early in the morning so that almost every tables are empty. First, i tried to be positive, that maybe this restaurant would be very full soon and the officer would consistently place a single person guest like me in the smaller uninteresting position table. I was very dissapointed when they just escorted single or 2 person westerners to the tables with the best view with the capacity for 4 people or even sofa pavillion for 6. They were stayed there alone until their finish their breakfast. So dissapointed with this unfair treatment. Its front desk performance during my check out on june 4th 2023. It's almost 7 and only 1 officer standby. It's a very long waiting time (since i wait there since 06.35 AM). I also cant use the express check out because the express check out box has information that i can only do the express check out if I chose it during the check in (which nobody informed me).
So my insight from this trip is:
1. Prepare a high budget so that you can afford their suites. You will experience the real W experience with that kind of room
2. Their breakfast restaurants service not really a best place for solo asian non chinese traveller. It has a great food and good view but yeah not the best service based on my experience
JJoycelynI stayed at **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** with my family from December 10th to 15th, and while it had its positives, there were a few aspects that would make me hesitate to stay here again. Here's a breakdown of our experience:
#### Location:
The location is definitely a highlight. The hotel is in the heart of **Ximending**, just a short walk from Ximending MRT station, making it convenient for exploring the area. You’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and entertainment, so it's ideal if you want to be in the middle of the action.
#### Room:
We stayed in the **Superior Family Room**, which was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The room had a modern design, with comfortable beds, a TV, a mini-fridge, and a desk. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it worked well for our needs. The shower had good water pressure, and everything was clean and in good condition.
#### Service:
The service was friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk were always ready to assist with recommendations for local attractions and were prompt in fulfilling our requests for extra towels and pillows.
#### Amenities:
The **breakfast** was okay, but not impressive. The buffet had a basic selection of both Western and ********* breakfast items, but it became repetitive, and the quality could have been better. It was just enough to get by, but nothing memorable.
One issue that affected our stay was the **noise in the lobby at night**. It often felt like a social hangout spot, with a large group of people drinking beer and playing games. It wasn't always clear if all of them were hotel guests, and the noise was quite disruptive, especially for anyone trying to relax or sleep. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be a problem, as the lobby area gets pretty lively late into the night.
#### Overall Experience:
While **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** offers great value for its central location and the rooms are generally comfortable, the noise from the lobby and the underwhelming breakfast left a bit of a negative impression. Based on this experience, **I probably wouldn't stay here again**. I would likely choose a hotel that's even closer to Ximending, with quieter surroundings and a better breakfast.
Would I recommend it? If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Ximending and don't mind some noise in the evenings, it could work for you. But for a more peaceful stay, I’d recommend looking at other options.
GGuest UserThe same excellent service and hospitality as the first time I was here in the late 80s when it was still the iconic Lai Lai Sheraton. Thank you for going the extra mile to make my wife’s birthday memorable with the extra arrangements. Special mention goes to Ellen and the front desk team for taking great care of us.
EESMLWe stayed here for a couple of nights. It's a typhoon day in Taiwan, all shops are closed, super windy that day. No choice but nowhere to go.
Front desks are very accommodating, since last minute I did a room, and a lot of cancel room thats why I was able to get one, due to the said typhoon.
Big room, huge beds, and a sort of mini dining table. Basically, it's so spacious. Corridors are big, and the design of the hallway overlooking the dining area is nice. But better with good signs of the room designation, if not, you might get lost.
The hotel is very convenient with a convenient store beside it. MRT, Arena, shopping mall is just right the corner.
Recommend for next stay.
DDm.sgHotel check in was done in level 5 and rooms were located in level 8. Like all Taiwan local hotels, they will only allow check in after 3pm with no exception. Check out is 11am. We were told check out from 12pm will have a penalty of 300+ ntd.
The room was tiny but sufficient to walk. Pleasantly surprised that there was a window with daylight too. The toilet was small and there was no proper partition between the shower area and the toilet bowl.
Location wise it's excellent, 5-10 mins walk to Taipei main station.
CCarmen JMAlthough a basement room, but doesn't feel eerie or humid at all. Very good cleanliness. All basic amenities are provided and even snacks are free (biscuit, crackers, soda, and mineral water), they even have a free coffee maker at the lobby floor. A bit pricey for a tiny room in view of at strategic location & Taipei City, it is acceptable. Downside is WiFi is weak and phone signal reception is also not good maybe due to room location at basement.
PPao OhReally good location! A bit pricey considering it's a small room with no windows, but if you'll be out the entire day and just need a place to sleep, it is more than adequate.
The staff are friendly and can strike a conversation with you if you initiate. They can give you recommendations on where to eat and where to tour around. I also got sick for a day and they were kind enough to brief me on what meds to get and how to get them. I appreciate the Colormix team because of that!
The shared bathroom is dormitory style. I am used to it from school, so it's not an issue for me to share a bathroom with people. There are hair dryers and sinks in individual stalls. I just wish there were bidets, though. It was difficult to wash as I had to uncomfortably make my way from the toilets to the shower area just to complete washing up.
All in all, it was a really good experience! I enjoyed my stay and will consider booking again once I return to Taipei.
SSavannah DubienWalking distance from Taipei Main Station. Night market and restaurants at walking distance. Easy checkin and checkout. Bed and bedroom is spacious with big lockers. Rooms are fairly humid but they have dehumidifiers that work pretty well. Kitchen and chill space is very big. Would return but not on weekends, the price goes from 15$/night to 100$+/night NOT worth it. Went to a Tourist Bunny hostel in Tamsui, awesome area and hostel.
YYeonaaikThere is smoking smell when we first enter the Hotel room,
looks neat but need the air circulation to reduce the unpleasant smell.
I am happy with the location and love the bath tub provided.
The aircond is not that cool during the hot day, and it is not adjustable.
Overall is a good and economic convenience choice for free and easy trip couple.
