"The location is really convenient, about 5 minutes walk to the metro station with a night market right downstairs. Can get a little crowded to walk past during the night market opening hours. One thing about my room was that it kind of had a smell to it. When I poured hot water down the bathtub drain, I saw a fly came up so…. Other than that the amenities are still okay. Laundry room is open 6am to 10pm. Receptionist was nice enough to extend a little for me when I asked if there was any nearby as I was cutting close. Also to request for late check out, it cost 300 NTD per hour."

"The Hotel Resonance Taipei is a really stylish hotel. It's very new and in a fantastic location – super easy to get to, just a 2-minute walk left from Exit 3 of Shandao Temple MRT Station. The room layout is well-designed, with a separate shower and bathtub, and a dedicated toilet area. The soundproofing is excellent, and the bedding is very comfortable. A major bonus is the self-service laundry room, which is a lifesaver for washing clothes during a summer trip. The washing machines even come with detergent, and the dryer is powerful, getting clothes dry quickly. Just a heads-up though, the laundry room closes at 10 PM. I noticed when booking that the hotel breakfast was just a simple Starbucks meal, so I didn't opt for the breakfast package. There are plenty of convenience stores, supermarkets, and local breakfast spots nearby, so finding food in the morning was absolutely no problem. All in all, I definitely recommend Hotel Resonance Taipei!"

"Without a doubt, staying at the Kimpton Taipei was the best decision we made during our trip. The location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks from the MRT, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. The level of hospitality feels more like that of an even higher-end luxury hotel. Every member of the team was consistently warm, professional, genuinely caring, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We arrived after almost 24 hours of continuous travel, completely exhausted, and the staff went above and beyond to prepare the first available room for us so we could rest as soon as possible. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference and was something we’ll always remember. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with stylish interiors, incredibly comfortable rooms, and a wonderful atmosphere. We especially loved the complimentary afternoon wine and snacks, which were the perfect way to unwind after a full day of sightseeing. Even the little morning touches before breakfast made us feel incredibly well looked after. What impressed us most is that the team never settles for simply meeting expectations—they consistently go the extra mile in every interaction. We would return to Kimpton Taipei without hesitation, and it will absolutely be our first choice the next time we visit Taipei. Highly recommended."

"The room facilities were well-maintained, and the front desk service was excellent. The hotel's location is superb, with convenient transportation. However, the deposit issue has been a hassle. It's been three weeks since I returned home, and more than 15 business days have passed, but the deposit still hasn't been refunded! I've contacted the hotel twice and my bank, but it's still unresolved! Usually, deposits are refunded instantly upon checkout. "After checking out and heading to the airport for a late-night flight, I realized upon arriving at the airport that I had accidentally left my passport inside the safety deposit box in my room at Hotel Éclat Taipei. I immediately called the hotel and the staff responded right away by checking the safe and confirmed that my passport had been found. The team was incredibly responsive and worked hard to arrange a way to get the passport to me before my flight. While they were trying to coordinate the delivery, the hotel's General Manager, Ms. Amy Yu, personally stepped in to help. She even came to the airport herself and, despite the urgency of the situation, when I asked how I should pay her back in return, she calmly reassured me not to worry about that at the moment and instead asked me to focus on getting through immigration and making my flight on time. I was deeply touched by her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. She showed a level of empathy and dedication that is increasingly rare in today's hospitality industry. The staff and management did not have to go to such lengths to help me, but they did, and thanks to them I was able to retrieve my passport and continue my journey without disaster. Beyond this unforgettable experience, the hotel itself is fantastic. The property has a unique artistic character, beautifully combining art, design, and luxury. It has a warm, creative atmosphere that makes it stand out from many other high-end hotels. Most importantly, it has something that cannot be easily taught or bought. The human touch, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality of the people here made all the difference. Having stayed at several hotels in Taiwan, I can honestly say that Hotel Éclat Taipei stands out for its responsiveness and sincere care for its guests. My heartfelt thanks to Amy Yu and the entire team. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei."

"Really solid stay at the DoubleTree Zhongshan. The warm cookie at check-in sounds like a gimmick but after a long flight it actually hits different 😂 Location is the biggest win about 5 mins walk to Zhongshan MRT station, and the area around it is full of cafes and small shops. Ximending and Taipei Main Station are just a couple of stops away, super convenient without being in the middle of the chaos. Room was clean and modern, not the biggest but well laid out, and the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom had a proper walk-in shower with good water pressure. City view from my floor was nice at night. Staff spoke good English and were genuinely helpful asked for restaurant recommendations and got proper local suggestions instead of the usual tourist spots. Breakfast had a good mix of ********* and Western food, the congee and dan bing were my go-to every morning. Only minor gripe is the gym is on the smaller side, but everything else more than made up for it. Would happily stay here again next time in Taipei."

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

We recently stayed at the Dinosaur Kingdom Family Room and transferred to a Premier Twin Room the following day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and accommodating, which we truly appreciated. We especially enjoyed the family room—it was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with a young child. I had initially planned for a two-night stay in this room, but unfortunately, renovations were scheduled to begin the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as it made our time there feel quite short, especially with other activities already planned during our trip. In comparison to other five-star hotels we’ve stayed in, I did find the lack of flexibility with early check-in a bit surprising, particularly for the themed room. We had hoped to settle in earlier, and similarly, the following day’s transfer to the Premier room was not available early as it was fully booked. While this was different from what I’m used to, I do understand that this may be part of their standard protocol. On a positive note, we loved the buffet, and the rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch, and the playroom area was excellent—clearly designed with families in mind. It was also lovely to see the hotel organizing activities for children. During our stay, there was a special event (like a children’s appreciation day?), where me and my baby were able to participate in arts and crafts and even received small prizes, which made the experience extra memorable. The swimming pool was decent, though not very large, and the water was quite cold, so we ended up enjoying the bathtub instead. One area for improvement would be cleanliness. We noticed visible dust in the room, which was concerning—especially since the room is designed for small children, and for someone like me who is diagnosed with allergies to multiple types of dust mites. I did raise this with Lara at the lobby, who kindly apologized and mentioned she would inform housekeeping. However, upon transferring rooms the next day, I still noticed dust in certain areas, which made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning. Separately, I also observed that some toiletries (such as conditioner and lotion) were nearly empty upon arrival, suggesting they may not have been checked or replenished prior to our stay. Despite these points, we genuinely had a pleasant experience overall and would consider returning. I’m also excited and curious to see what the next theme for the family rooms will be after the renovations.

Value for money hotel, but I was amazed that the terrible lift situation was not mentioned more. They had only TWO lifts to service 13 floors worth of travellers, and I spent around 5-10 minutes each instance either queuing for the lift to go to my room, or waiting for a lift to come down. Really ridiculous waste of time, but other than that, hotel was alright. Oh by the way, the hotel does not provide toothbrushes and toothpaste; they will direct you to purchase it from a vending machine.

I checked in late at night around 11pm without a problem. The room is small and windowless, but this is not unexpected as the online description is accurate. Very convenient location! Easily accessed from airport metro and regular metro. Within walking distance to Ximending, Ningxia night market, Taipei city mall, and Dadaocheng/Dihua street. Luggage storage was conveniently available for free and there is a tonne of people making use of this service! So may need to time your check out accordingly. Lobby was located at the fifth floor, some elevators don’t stop there. The layout is a tad confusing to me (some rooms on 3F and 4F)

The cleanliness was acceptable and consistent with the hotel’s facility rating. The location was excellent and suited our needs perfectly, as it is located right next to Taipei Main Station and can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk via the underground passage. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor, but there is no lift access, which may be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. However, it should not be a problem for younger guests. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and offered good value for its convenient location.

We had a wonderful stay at Green World Zhonghua and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei. The hotel's location is excellent. It is directly opposite Ximending, making it easy to explore the shopping streets, restaurants, and local attractions on foot. There is also a 7-Eleven conveniently located downstairs, and the entrance to the MRT underground station is just outside the hotel, making it very convenient to travel around Taipei. The room was comfortable and met all our needs. What impressed us the most was the exceptional service from the hotel staff. Our flight was delayed until midnight, and they kindly helped us extend our room until late evening, which made a huge difference to our travel experience. Their willingness to accommodate our request and their friendly, helpful attitude were truly appreciated. Overall, we had a very pleasant and hassle-free stay. With its unbeatable location, convenient transportation access, and outstanding customer service, Green World Zhonghua is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Taipei.
