Location: The location is absolutely fantastic! Downstairs, you'll find a pedestrian street, and the Shuncheng Shopping Center is right there. There are also about half a dozen other malls nearby, making dining and getting drinks incredibly convenient. Service: The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were given a high-floor room, and the breakfast was quite good – they even provided a complimentary breakfast for our child. We didn't get a chance to try the late-night congee, but I imagine it would have been good too. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff were very enthusiastic and did a thorough and clean job. There's also a large Miniso and Mixue Ice Cream & Tea downstairs, which are always bustling with people. It's a great spot for families with kids.

This is an international youth hostel, and there are indeed many foreigners here. The common areas have a great vibe, and the food and drinks are very affordable. It's super convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the East Gate of Cuihu Lake. If I could, I'd love to book it for two months next summer! Oh, a friendly heads-up: the room type I booked doesn't have air conditioning, only a fan. But it was quite cool, so the fan was perfectly fine. I stayed in room 506; the bed was very soft, the shower had good pressure and heated up quickly. The toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and shower gel were all good, and the toilet paper was quite thick. The only minor drawback was that the electric fan was a bit noisy. My friend stayed in 606; their water pressure was slightly lower, but the fan was silent, though the bed was a little firmer. Overall, I'm very satisfied! The washing machine and dryer are also a nice touch. All the staff speak English. While it's called a youth hostel, there are actually people of all age groups staying here.

The location is a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city; despite being downtown, the privacy is excellent, keeping you far from the noise. As a pet-friendly hotel, they are incredibly accommodating and thoughtful towards small animals. The hotel pays great attention to detail, and you can truly feel the dedication. The breakfast selection is diverse, delicious, and offers many choices. The staff were patient and polite throughout our stay, responding promptly to all requests. Both the facilities and service quality were top-notch. It's perfect for both business and leisure travel. Our stay exceeded expectations, and it's definitely worth another visit.

It operates on a fixed schedule, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and perfectly meets everyday laundry needs. The lounge area has a simple yet artistic decor, with clever arrangements of paintings and ornaments. The sofas are soft and relaxing, making it a comfortable spot to wait or take a short break. The hygiene is impeccable; everything is clean and fresh. The overall living atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Kunming and our stay at Gongxili was absolutely perfect – no regrets at all! The location is incredible, right on Dongxi Temple Pagoda Pedestrian Street. You step out directly into the old street market, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Jinma Biji Archway and Nanping Street. If you're craving some douhua rice noodles, you can find them anywhere just outside. The hotel is a beautiful new Chinese-style courtyard. While it's bustling outside, the moment you step into the courtyard, it's instantly peaceful, and it's a great spot for photos too. The front desk lady was super friendly, offering complimentary fruit tea upon arrival and responding quickly to any requests. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and it even had its own direct drinking water dispenser, which was convenient and hygienic.

A really nice downtown hotel. The front desk staff were super helpful, and they even welcomed us with flower pastries. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Breakfast was incredibly varied, and they even offered a late-night snack! Their rice noodles were just as good, if not better, than what you'd find outside. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir, which was a lovely touch!

This hotel has a peculiar mix of modern and old-fashioned vibes. The smart controls are quite advanced, and the bathroom glass and faucets were sparkling clean, indicating excellent hygiene. The greenery is real, which is a nice touch. However, the carpets make the place feel dated. Also, every room has an ashtray and matches, and I think smoking should be prohibited. It's a very disjointed experience. There are many positives, like disposable face towels, non-slip slippers, and windows that can open. But there are also many negatives. The toilet faces the bed, and you can see into the shower from the bed. The bathroom door is also very strange, like a shop entrance. The location is convenient though.

The hotel's location is super convenient, with tons of restaurants nearby, and it's easy to hail a taxi. Staying here felt like a temporary escape from the city's hustle and bustle, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the unique charm of Chinese aesthetics. Both the facilities and soft services were impeccable, offering great value for money. I've already recommended this hotel to my friends and family – it's definitely worth repeat stays. Kunming is wonderful, I'll be back!

The hotel is located right by Cuihu Lake. You just walk down a small alley next to it for about 2 minutes, and you're there. The room is spacious, clean, and the bedding is very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. This hotel offers great value for money, and I'd definitely choose it again in the future.

This is an established hotel by Cuihu Lake, and its location is truly unbeatable! It's just a few minutes' walk to Cuihu Park, and the Military Academy, Yunnan University, and Wenlin Street are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the old city and trying local snacks, saving a lot of commute time during your trip. The hotel has a mature and elegant style, is well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and dry with comfortable bedding. The lake view rooms offer expansive views of Cuihu Lake, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent natural light. With full amenities, it's suitable for both family travel and business stays. However, the children's play area is incredibly tiny. I saw light tubes there and asked a staff member how to turn them on, and they said, ”I don't know 🤷‍♀️.” That's a bit absurd. The breakfast buffet is commendable, but the space is small, so you often have to queue in the morning! The variety is rich, offering both Western dishes and many local Yunnan specialties. The staff provides proper and thoughtful service. Check-in is efficient, and requests are responded to promptly. They also offer useful tips for local sightseeing, which is very considerate. For those driving, there's free parking, making travel convenient. ❗Small tip: The hotel has been open for a number of years, so the decor is more classic and dignified rather than trendy and minimalist. If you're visiting Kunming and want to stay in the city center near Cuihu Lake, this is a very good choice.
