When the tide rises in the Bay of Fundy, seawater flows back into the St John River, causing the river to flow upstream. Free park, very close to downtown St. John's, with many lakes and a large area. There are few people, very quiet, and you can drive around. There are water entertainment activities on Lilys Lake, and the restaurants by the lake are also good.
