Things to do in Lipu

This place is best viewed with your own eyes as photos don't do it justice. The free audio tour is a nice added experience. It is relatively nearby Riyu peak so you can combine it in one day. Temperature is stable around 25c but it does it's more humid. At about 2/3 there is a cafe. There are a lot of light projections on the rock formations which does look nice. There are tour group moments when it does get more crowded and that even in a low season moment.. i do think that the exit route which forces you snaking along a lot of shops feels a bit too much, even half of the current amount would be more than enough

Amazing views and unique experience if you’re visiting Yangshuo! It is very convenient that with the ticket you have everything included: round-trip cableway, hanging bridge, glass walks, 360d platform, inmersive experience with video… You’ll only need a couple of hours to visit it and, if you’re lucky, you’ll have the cableway cabin only for you :) we visited a Sunday and we were alone in both trips (it is a long and super nice ride!!!). We recommend it 100%!

The overall feeling is very good. First of all, the service attitude of the beautiful tour guide is very good. The spectacular sight after entering the cave is beyond imagination. After closing the glass bridge, it feels very long and thrilling. It is exciting and fun. The last slide is more interesting. It slides directly from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain. The process is very exciting! ! ! !

The boat ride down the underground river is about 1.3 kilometers, but 2 kilometers were shortened. The scenery is nice, but it's a bit rushed; we finished in 70-80 minutes. The original route was significantly shortened, which is understandable given the lower number of tourists. Facing the entrance to the scenic area, on the left side of a row of shops, only the first one was open. It sold steamed small taro and raw large taro at the entrance, and some souvenirs inside. The owner claimed it was Lipu taro, asking 6 yuan per jin (500g), but we bargained down to 5 yuan. We specifically bought a large taro to take home, but it turned out to be fake Lipu taro. It was very soft after being pressure cooked, but not powdery, and had no texture. It had a few very fine, faint purple veins. Avoid this place; since it was flown all the way back, I'd rather it be more expensive and sold the real thing.

There are few people going there in the morning, and someone will simply take you on a tour and give you a brief explanation, which is also a good experience for children.

I hiked from Shuiedi to Gongnong Bridge, a relatively short route that takes about 30-40 minutes. The scenery along the way was beautiful, with four drops. Luckily, I bought a disposable raincoat to cover my lower body, so my pants didn't get too wet, although my upper body and face were partially soaked.

The Ten-Mile Gallery in Yangshuo, however, holds the most vibrant and gentle aspects of Guilin's landscape. Taking advantage of my free time, I set foot on this land, measuring this ten-mile scroll with my own footsteps, immersing myself in the green mountains, clear waters, and idyllic fields, and gaining an unforgettable natural journey. The Ten-Mile Gallery is not an isolated attraction, but a scenic corridor stretching for several miles, connected by National Highway 321, linking karst peaks, clear streams, and rustic fields into a flowing landscape scroll. The most enjoyable way to experience this landscape is undoubtedly to rent a bicycle and leisurely ride along the designated scenic routes. No need to rush, no need to worry about time; just let the gentle breeze caress your face and watch the scenery unfold before you, truly experiencing the exquisite feeling of "traveling through a painting." During the ride, every sight is a surprise. On both sides of the road, karst peaks rise abruptly from the ground in countless shapes, each unique and lifelike. Some resemble camels crossing a river, standing quietly on the bank as if about to wade through; others look like golden cats emerging from their dens, lively and playful, drawing your attention; still others are like fairies descending to earth, their graceful forms enhanced by the swirling clouds. These magnificent peaks, sculpted by nature's artistry, stand out clearly against the blue sky, each with its own unique story, making you marvel at the wonders of nature. In this gallery of natural beauty, the Yulong River is the most vibrant embellishment. This river, hailed as the "Little Li River," boasts emerald-green waters that are crystal clear, reflecting the verdant mountains, trees, and rice paddies on both banks. A gentle breeze ripples the surface, causing the mountain and tree shadows to sway, creating a scene reminiscent of a watercolor painting. Reaching the Gongnong Bridge offers an even more spectacular viewpoint, where the Yulong River and Jinbao River converge. Bamboo rafts glide gently by, the crisp, melodious sounds of the raftmen's poles mingling with the gentle murmur of the flowing water, composing a natural symphony. Standing on the bridge and gazing into the distance, the mountains are shrouded in mist, the water exudes a gentle charm, and the fields are scattered with wisps of smoke rising from chimneys—a tranquil pastoral landscape that instantly soothes any restlessness. The scenery along the way combines the majestic beauty of nature with the warm warmth of human life. A thousand-year-old banyan tree stands silently, its branches and leaves flourishing like a canopy, witnessing the passage of time and carrying the classic memories of the folk song "Liu Sanjie." The cobblestone path beneath it seems to still echo with the melodious folk songs. In Butterfly Spring, colorful butterflies flutter and dance, creating a picturesque scene against the backdrop of strangely shaped rocks and mountains, making one feel as if they have stepped into a fairytale world. Ancient villages are scattered throughout, with white walls and black tiles, the sounds of chickens and dogs filling the air. Villagers work in the fields, children play in the alleys, and the vibrant atmosphere adds warmth and intimacy to this landscape. Slow down and walk along every inch of the Ten-Mile Gallery, and you will feel a unique beauty. In spring, the rice paddies are a vibrant green, wildflowers bloom freely, and life abounds; in summer, the trees provide shade, the river water is cool, and the heat dissipates.

The Yulong River's charm lies in its atmosphere; it lacks the crowds and noise of other tourist spots, offering a gentle and soothing experience. The bamboo rafting experience is a key highlight, but tickets can be difficult to obtain during peak season. Commercialization is concentrated near the pier; venturing deeper into the villages reveals pristine rural scenery, perfect for relaxation and unwinding, but not ideal for tourists seeking breathtaking, grand landscapes.

If you visit Yangshuo, you shouldn’t miss West Street (Xi Jie), a historic street with a history of more than 1,000 years.At night, the street becomes very lively, filled with numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
