Lake Constance

Lake Constance is bordered by Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The side of Lake Constance in Germany where we live is the Port of Fiteli.
We like to take a boat from the Port of Fiteli to the other side of the lake. The whole journey is on the lake. There are many trips a day on that boat. The whole journey takes 50 minutes one way. We go to the mall on the other side and return after shopping.
Lake Constance is very beautiful. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom. The Alps can be seen from the direction of Switzerland.

We choose the horse carriage ride up, it was €8 a person. It took around 20 minutes and we enjoyed the forest view. Make sure to arrive and park at least an hour early. The entrance time is exact to every 5 minutes for crowd control. The entrance ticket includes an audio set and takes around 30 minutes. You are moved thru the rooms rather quickly. There are free lockers at information at the entrance area if needed. No pictures can be taken during the tour. **not handicapped friendly ** must be able to walk for 2-3 hours and climb up and down many flights of stairs. There are no elevators. We planned to walk down but it began to rain. So we took the horse carriage again -/€4/person.

The Imperia statue in Constance is a very unique statue on Lake Constance. Legend has it that this is a goddess in German folk tales, holding a king and a queen in her hands. Although I don't understand its meaning, it feels very different. It is also a landmark building on the shore of Lake Constance and is worth appreciating.
