The phone settings instructions to get data roaming to work didn’t match my phones interface, which made it very confusing to get my eSIM to start working. I am using an Australian iPhone 17 with iOS 26.2.★

Installed the esim before travel, once I reached the States and turned on mobile data, the esim was automatically activated. The signal strength was great during my trip at Chicago and Michigan. Data remaining can be checked easily on Trip app under plan detail.★
