It was easy to purchase and install on my iPhone directly from the trip.com app at home. I activated it manually upon arrival in Japan. You need to enable roaming in the e-SIM settings; after that, everything works fine. There's no need to disconnect your physical SIM card.

Overall, it was very good. There might have been a few occasional disconnections when driving in areas with no signal. It was well worth the 10-day trip. I used the internet almost constantly because I was driving, and needed Google Maps and music. I barely needed to use the hotel Wi-Fi at all. It's great! I've saved it as a favorite and will definitely buy it again.
