"Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, and the view from the window was absolutely beautiful. The comfort was all-encompassing, from the perfect indoor temperature and humidity, lighting, and soundproofing, to the excellent shower water temperature. The welcome snacks and fruit were a lovely touch too. Any specific needs we had were met promptly. A big thank you to the service team, especially Lynn, Minnie, Vivian, and Lily from the Guest Relations team. It was a truly delightful experience!"

"Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! They offer a free shuttle service to Disneyland with convenient timings at 6:20 AM, 7:30 AM, and 9:00 AM. They also provide complimentary, on-demand pick-up and drop-off service to the subway station. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety, including fresh-made eggs, mini wontons, and freshly baked egg tarts. In the evenings, they offer a free late-night snack service with options like noodles, vermicelli, sweet soups, and congee – highly appreciated! 👍👍👍 Upon check-out, they even prepared a snack bag and building blocks for the kids. The hotel lobby on the first floor also has a children's play area. If we couldn't make it for breakfast, they'd pack it for us without hesitation, carefully preparing a generous selection of food (milk, bread, fruit, eggs, egg tarts, pancakes, and snacks)!!! They were incredibly enthusiastic, even bringing it to the lobby for us. When they picked us up from Disneyland in the evening, they had ginger cola and jujube longan tea ready, along with duck-shaped bread and walnut biscuits to tide us over. It was truly a lifesaver in the cold winter; the service at Maxwell International Hotel kept us warm. 👍👍👍 As soon as we returned in the evening, they directed us to the late-night snack bar. Later, when my child wanted milk, the front desk even brought warm milk to our room before bedtime. This level of service is absolutely top-notch! 👌👌👌 The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, comfortable, and spacious! The soundproofing in the room was excellent, allowing for a quiet and peaceful sleep. The heating from the air conditioning was superb, and the bathroom's automatic ventilation worked well, ensuring good air circulation in the room. The cleaning staff proactively tidied our room every day, even washing our dirty clothes and returning them to the room. They meticulously cleared all our trash and kept the floors impeccably clean. The bedding was changed daily, which was wonderful. 👍👍👍 All the hotel staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, making us feel right at home. From the cleaning ladies to the front desk and all the restaurant staff, everyone was exceptional. The environment is beautiful, with a stunning Christmas tree on the first floor that's perfect for photos. The Santa Claus stickers at the entrance also make for great photo opportunities. The hotel is conveniently located next to Wanda Plaza, the subway station, and a lively pedestrian street night market. Shopping at Wanda Jinjie is also very easy. Transportation from the hotel is super convenient; a taxi takes just a few minutes, 24/7. The second floor of the hotel also boasts a SPA, wellness center, private dining options, large conference rooms, and banquet halls, making the facilities incredibly comprehensive. It's a fantastic choice for family trips, friends' getaways, business travel, and couples. "Everything was perfect, from the front desk staff, garage and ground parking attendants, those issuing parking vouchers and inputting license plates, to the housekeeping on each floor, and the restaurant and executive lounge service teams—everyone was friendly, polite, and patient. During the day, doormen in European-style uniforms assisted with car drop-offs and luggage handling. The dining options were plentiful and of high quality. Both the hotel's interior and exterior, as well as the room condition, exceeded expectations. The suite was furnished to feel like a home, complete with various furniture and amenities. The executive lounge environment was also very elegant and comfortable, and the hotel is close to the ferry and cruise terminals. As a Bund hotel, it offers excellent value for money overall and is a perfect place to enjoy beautiful scenery, delicious food, and unwind."

"I came here alone for my birthday and had informed the hotel in advance. To my delight, there was a lovely and delicious tiramisu birthday cake waiting for me in the fridge! It was quite big and very tasty. Regarding the single guest lounge access (including executive lounge breakfast): The afternoon tea selection was a bit limited, and it's the smallest executive lounge I've ever seen. Still, it was enough to grab a quick bite and fill up, haha. The night view was absolutely stunning! There were no clouds or rain, so I got to enjoy a beautiful panorama. The view in the morning when I woke up was fantastic too!"

"I chose this hotel for my business trip to Shanghai because it was relatively close to my meeting location. It exceeded my expectations! The transportation is convenient, being close to the subway station, and the room was comfortable, clean, and tidy. I urgently needed to print some drawings, and the front desk staff patiently helped me find a print shop. I was really touched! 😹"

The room is incredibly spacious, and the front desk service is very responsive. "We checked in around 8 PM on the 26th, and the lady at the front desk was lovely. She gave us a free room upgrade and arranged for my friend and me to be on the same floor with a great view. When we checked out on the 29th, the short-haired lady, I think her name was Moon, was very professional and efficiently handled our check-out and extension. The bell staff were also fantastic; they consistently helped us with the car doors and loading luggage, and even brought our bags up to the room – very enthusiastic. The housekeeping auntie was also very polite; she noticed we drank a lot of water and left extra for us during cleaning, which was very thoughtful. Just a minor note: we found hair in both rooms on the day we checked in, and the used, wet bathrobes weren't replaced after the first night's cleaning. We'll definitely bring our family to stay here on our next visit to Shanghai, and we look forward to an even better experience next time."

"Excellent location and reasonable price. We received a free upgrade to a spacious Villa Suite. Unfortunately, the interior designer placed the bed directly in front of the TV, making it impossible to enjoy the beautiful view from bed. The bed was comfortable and soundproofing was good. Areas for improvement: - Breakfast: A wide selection, but the overall quality was poor. We tried both Western and Chinese dishes, and even the wontons were just passable. - The bread and pastries were unacceptable. - The room had an espresso machine, but no coffee capsules were provided, only drip coffee bags... - The sofa in the living area had a patch of different colored fabric. This slapdash repair contradicts the idea of quality service; the hotel should pay more attention to details (see photo). - There were no power outlets near the bed or at the desk."

"Oh my goodness, this hotel is such great value for money! The entire complex is designed as a Chinese-style garden. It looks beautiful both day and night, but my friend and I arrived too late and left too early, so we didn't get to explore it much. Before we checked out, we mentioned wanting to look around, and a friendly young man (a 'xiaoshuaige' as we'd say!) offered to drive us around the grounds in a golf cart. He was super nice! He even explained the history and significance of each building and courtyard. Very impressive! The room was clean, the service was comprehensive, and the bed was really comfortable."
