Hotel near Shanghai Disney Resort,Shanghai
Shanghai Royal Garden Hotel was meticulously expanded over seven years on the original site of the renowned late Qing and early Republican period painter Wu Changshuo's Memorial Hall. Spanning over 100 mu (approximately 6.7 hectares), it is a garden-style hotel imbued with the rich charm of Jiangnan-style Suzhou classical gardens. Within the garden, the ever-changing floral scenery unfolds like a living scroll: in spring, magnolias and crabapples weave mists of blossoms; summer sees hydrangeas and lotus shadows swaying upon clear waters; autumn arrives with osmanthus and chrysanthemums painting the landscape in rich hues; winter brings plum blossoms and camellias reflecting snowy light. The flowers of the four seasons shift in an endless cycle, crystallizing time into colorful verses upon the branches. Moreover, the garden features eight exquisitely crafted landscapes that blend poetic charm with tangible beauty: • Nine Dragons Auspiciousness: A majestic white marble Nine-Dragon Wall where nine dragon forms seem to surge through swirling clouds and waves. • Elegance Floating Over Waters: A palace-style structure built entirely with traditional wooden joinery, perched above the water like a graceful crane, its triple-layered eaves resembling wings in flight, with ridge beasts clutching drifting clouds. • Eastern Ridge Greeting the Dawn: A rugged Taihu stone rockery winding like a mountain range, with a cascading waterfall like spilled jade, scattering silvery droplets. Ascend to the "Crane Pavilion" at its peak to gaze upon the rising sun. • Intoxicated by the Moon, Serenity in Nature: Nestled against hills and overlooking water, with undulating rockeries and lush flora, serene emerald waves below, and willows swaying gently—a scene brimming with poetic charm. • Suzhou Dreams Revived: A massive brick-carved screen wall unfolding like a millennium-old scroll, where "the chisel captures all the colors of the world, and the blue bricks endure through the ages." • Chuanyang River Inspires Reflection: The mother river of Pudong, which carries all joys and sorrows as sediment, flowing day and night toward the East Sea. • Fragrance of Golden Osmanthus: An amber-like fragrance, like specks of gold foil adorning green branches—a love letter from the osmanthus tree to autumn. • Splendor of Yaohua: Upon a marble platform, white jade carved railings encircle the structure, with layered eaves soaring upward, majestic and towering in grandeur. Each site features scannable QR codes, allowing guests to listen to explanations of the architectural and cultural background accompanied by classical music. Here, you can leave worldly troubles behind and refresh both body and mind. The hotel boasts an exceptional location, adjacent to Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Disneyland. The complimentary scheduled shuttle service reaches Pudong Airport in just 25 minutes and Disneyland in 15 minutes. Additionally, the Huaxia East Road Station of Metro Line 2 is about 3Min by walk, providing quick and convenient access to key areas such as Pudong International Airport, Longyang Road New International Expo Center, Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, People’s Square, Nanjing Road, Jing’an Temple, the Hongqiao Railway Hub, and Hongqiao Airport.

"The rooms are clean and the environment is elegant, with a beautiful Suzhou garden design. The architecture is grand, and you can take stunning photos effortlessly. The night view is unique, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It's truly a great hotel."

Adjacent to the Nanjing Road Pedestrian mall, this Shanghai hotel makes it easy for guests to shop or do business in the area. It is conveniently located only 20 minutes from the Hongqiao Airport, 45 minutes from PuDong International Airport and 5 minutes from Shanghai Municipal Government buildings.Central Hotel Shanghai has 27 floors and 319 luxuriously decorated rooms that contain all the standard amenities including Internet access.Hungry guests can choose to dine in any of the 7 different restaurants and bars. After a tasty meal, guests can relax over a cup of coffee or a cocktail.Business guests will be happy to know the function rooms, meeting facilities, business center and currency exchange are readily available. When it comes time to relax, guests can work out in the fitness center or use the steamy sauna.

"The bathroom amenities were quite stingy. The 27ml shower gel was just enough for one person, let alone a couple or someone with a child. And 27ml of shampoo isn't even enough for long hair, though it might be okay for short hair. It really doesn't match the price of the room. The staff in the lobby were always rushing around and almost bumped into people; generally, they didn't even greet guests. Check-out wasn't quick, which was a real waste of time. And there's no need to constantly ask if we've eaten the peanuts or had the drinks. If we eat or drink something, we'll naturally pay for it. With such an expensive room rate, we wouldn't bother with such small economies."

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

GGuest UserThis was honestly one of the most memorable hotel stays we have ever experienced. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong to celebrate my girlfriend’s 23rd birthday during our first trip to Shanghai together, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Before arrival, Assistant Guest Recognition Manager Yana Ivleva kindly communicated with us by email and thoughtfully helped arrange everything for the celebration. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel welcomed even before we arrived at the hotel. The room decoration, birthday cake, handwritten card, flowers, and beautiful Bund view created such a special atmosphere for us. Every detail felt thoughtful and heartfelt rather than simply formal hotel service. The hotel itself was also outstanding — the room condition, cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool, and especially the incredible night view of Shanghai were all amazing. Flair Rooftop Bar was also a wonderful experience for enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. What impressed us the most, however, was the hospitality. Yana and the staff truly made this stay unforgettable for us, and thanks to them, our first trip to Shanghai became a memory we will cherish for a very long time. We are sincerely grateful to The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong and will absolutely look forward to returning again in the future.

AAnonymous UserA huge thank you to Deslin for the incredibly thoughtful and attentive assistance during my check-in! From the warm, welcoming smile as I walked in, to patiently explaining the hotel's facilities and the surrounding area, every detail made me feel so comfortable. What moved me even more was how Deslin noticed my travel fatigue and proactively helped me upgrade to a quieter, more comfortable room, even thoughtfully preparing welcome fruit and a heartfelt handwritten note. The check-in process was efficient and smooth, and throughout, Deslin maintained a gentle tone, answering all my questions, which instantly helped me shed all my travel weariness. This genuine care and professional service truly define what it means to feel at home. Kudos to Deslin, and I look forward to meeting such an outstanding person again on my next stay! 🌟

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied! This is one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever stayed in. Coming from the Disney Hotel's executive room, I instantly felt like the money spent here was truly worth it! First, the room is spacious, the bed is super comfortable, and both the lounge area and bathroom are generously sized. The toiletries are Aesop, and the kids' toiletries are also excellent! Second, the breakfast buffet is fantastic, and there's an à la carte menu too – I couldn't get enough of it. Furthermore, the location is superb. You can walk to the Bund, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Also, the concierge service was wonderful and proactive. With lots of luggage and kids, they eagerly helped with transfers to and from the car, saving us from many awkward moments. Overall, the experience was fantastic. TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

GGuest UserService: I really appreciate Mr. Chen Xintong, the hotel's Room Manager. His service was impeccable and very thoughtful. He arranged a complimentary room upgrade for us and helped us book the hotel's buffet. The teppanyaki chef at the restaurant is incredibly skilled; dishes like the 'Lekoufu' cake and the 'drunken' crayfish were as outstanding as everyone raves about! Hygiene: The housekeeping auntie was very meticulous in cleaning our room, and the manager even double-checked to ensure everything was up to standard. Environment: The hotel environment is quite good, especially the evening atmosphere at the lobby bar with live music. Facilities: The facilities are a bit dated, which is understandable since the hotel opened in 2013. Also, having to go downstairs personally to pick up food deliveries is a bit inconvenient. I'd suggest improving this with robot delivery.

HHHHsmileTo Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Group, Management of Jing An Kunlun Hotel, and the Atrium Cafe Team, As frequent travelers who have stayed in many five-star-plus hotels around the world, my 80-year-old mother and I would like to share an honest note about our recent stay at your hotel. To be frank, the overall service didn’t quite meet the five-star standard we’ve come to expect — for instance, on a rainy day, the front desk staff could have been more proactive and welcoming, especially to elderly guests. The lobby manager and housekeeping team could also respond faster to requests from executive lounge guests, without delays or indifference. That said, Mr. Liu, a server at the first-floor Atrium Cafe, truly impressed us — so much so that we would happily recommend your hotel to family and friends. Mr. Liu is dedicated, professional, and highly efficient. Even at his busiest moments, he remains calm, well-organized, and always smiling — polite, warm, and attentive to every request and question. What stands out even more is his thoughtful, patient care for elderly guests. He knows the Atrium Cafe and the hotel inside out, and is equally familiar with the neighborhood and Shanghai’s tourist scene. He gave us plenty of practical tips, which made our trip so much more enjoyable. When choosing a hotel, location and facilities certainly matter — but what truly makes guests want to come back are staff like Mr. Liu. We do hope the management recognizes more and encourages him further. Excellent staff deserve appreciation, and true talent should be retained. Thank you, Mr. Liu, and kudos to the Atrium Cafe for its great food and dining experience. We look forward to seeing Jin Jiang Group, Jing An Kunlun Hotel, and the Atrium Cafe keep raising the bar — and have more wonderful employees like Mr. Liu in the future.
