On the second day, I switched to a executive king room. The Jin Mao Tower goes up to the 88th floor, but the top floors are for tourist sightseeing and skywalks. The hotel itself only goes up to the 85th floor, and the highest guest rooms are on the 84th. I was on the executive floor, which allowed me multiple entries to the executive lounge throughout the day. It was very luxurious, and the food was fresh. The service was excellent; they even upgraded me for free, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff were welcoming and patiently answered my questions. The gym was also very good.

My recent business trip to Shanghai led me to stay at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were well-maintained, quiet, and offered fantastic city views from a high floor, creating a wonderful ambiance. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The breakfast spread was also exceptionally rich. Overall, it was a standard high-end hotel experience, perfect for business travel and definitely worth recommending.

Its advantageous height offers a fantastic experience for city views. The staff were very cooperative in meeting our team's needs, making it suitable for small team-building events. Overall, the stay was highly commendable.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao, Lujiazui has a unique ambiance on a rainy day! The room boasts 270-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to overlook the entire city from the comfort of your bed. With clouds enveloping the skyscrapers, the misty rain of Shanghai immediately sets a perfect mood. The hotel's classic circular atrium is incredibly distinctive; every photo taken there turns out to be a masterpiece. The service at the Grand Club is attentive and thoughtful, making the entire stay relaxed and luxurious. There's no need to go out; you can simply unwind and spend your time at the hotel. It's an excellent choice for a rainy day staycation and definitely worth revisiting!

Spending a short holiday in Shanghai, we decided on the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao for our stay, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Even with the large holiday crowds, the check-in process was handled smoothly. While we were waiting, Mia, a staff member in the lobby, kindly led us to the 'Water Bottle Hall,' where the hotel thoughtfully provided afternoon tea for guests waiting for their rooms. This was a very warm and considerate gesture. The guest rooms were well-maintained, clean, and refreshing, offering a comfortable stay. The soundproofing was excellent; despite the high foot traffic during the holiday, the room remained quiet. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a fantastic view of the Lujiazui cityscape. The service staff were patient and meticulous, and all our requests were promptly addressed. Overall, the experience during our short holiday stay was excellent, and the quality was not compromised by the large number of guests.

I used to stay at IGH hotels more often; my last visit to a Grand Hyatt was about 7 years ago in Taipei. Usually, these days, whether the hotel experience is good or bad, I'm too lazy to leave a review. This time, after many years, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao, so I thought I'd leave a record. The following is a factual account: On October 3rd, around 2:30 PM, I arrived at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao lobby. It was a busy National Day holiday, so I waited about half an hour to check in and drop off my luggage. I was told that because I had a specific room type (Family Twin Room), it would take about an hour for cleaning. At 4:14 PM, I asked if the room was ready. The response was: "It's a holiday, so many people, that's how it is, please understand." Okay, I understand. I asked how much longer, and they said about 20 minutes. Around 5 PM, I saw that everyone checking in was getting their rooms, but mine wasn't ready. I asked again, this time a staff member in the lobby who seemed like a lobby manager. At 5:08 PM, I was told the Family Twin Room key card was ready, but the other twin room was still waiting. So, I went to the first room to rest. Soon after, the key card for the other room was also delivered. Later that evening, when showering, I found a plaster stuck to the shower floor, meaning it hadn't been cleaned properly. But I was too tired to complain to housekeeping; the whole afternoon had been unpleasant, and I didn't want them to think I was trying to make a big deal out of nothing. It wasn't worth it. Oh, right, seeing my unhappiness, they said they'd send fruit, but it never arrived. Everything mentioned above is factual; the process was simple, and it's not a huge deal. Now, for my opinion: During the May Day and National Day holidays, I've also stayed at InterContinental hotels. There might be queues for check-in, but never with such an attitude, especially that condescending "It's a holiday, please understand." I wonder if it's because I booked through Trip.com. Hotel groups like Hyatt have their own loyal member base and might not take Trip.com bookings as seriously. I'm not saying InterContinental is perfect. Whether it's InterContinental or Grand Hyatt, they give me the impression of Mercedes and BMW before the rise of domestic new energy vehicles. They monopolize the best locations in various cities and have loyal members globally, which is enough to keep them comfortable and complacent. Just as before the rise of domestic new energy, we viewed Mercedes and BMW's high-end service as a symbol of status. Consumers had no choice but to kowtow, and even some charges that now seem incredible were then taken for granted by BBA. The domestic hotel industry has a long and arduous journey ahead to break through. The above are the facts and my opinion on this Grand Hyatt experience, for reference only.

I booked the hotel just one day before my trip, after a long search. I needed something convenient, near the river, and not too noisy, so I finally chose the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. Only when I arrived did I realize there's a popular photo spot right at the entrance! It was so crowded. The hotel is located in the Jin Mao Tower. Luggage storage is on the 1st floor, check-in at the front desk is on the 54th floor, and the observation deck is on the 88th floor. Rooms are located from the 54th floor upwards. The room wasn't very big and the lighting wasn't too bright, mainly for sleeping, but it was reasonably soundproof. On a rainy day, I had lunch at the hotel's 56th-floor buffet. The food was decent, but nothing particularly amazing. The service was excellent, and the window seats offered a view of Lujiazui even in the rain. Unfortunately, I arrived late, so it was crowded and I couldn't get a window seat – I'll have to save that for next time. ⚠️ On a rainy day, you can get a great shot of the 'three-piece suit' (Shanghai's iconic skyscrapers) just by taking a casual picture downstairs, no need to squeeze into the main photo spot. If you want to be in the picture, then never mind what I just said.

This time I traveled with my child, saying I brought my child to Shanghai and booked this hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. First, the lobby staff were highly professional, and the check-in process was efficient. The room itself was clean and tidy with a reasonable layout, making for a spacious and comfortable stay. The high-floor view was expansive, offering a panoramic view of the city. Throughout the entire stay, there were no unpleasant minor issues, and the service was meticulous and thoughtful. The overall quality lives up to its five-star rating, and the overall experience was excellent.
