Jizhou Old Street

Jizhou ancient city block is now a key cultural relics protection unit in Hebei Province, but it is not recommended to visit recently, as it is currently undergoing extensive renovation, and many landmark buildings have been enclosed (see last image). After inquiring with the construction team, it is estimated that the renovation may not be completed until the end of this year. Jizhou ancient city block is located in the northern part of the city, on the southwest shore of Hengshui Lake, east of Hengshui Lake, 1000 meters north of Hengshui Lake District, west of Ji Ma Canal, and south of the intersection of Hengshui Lake and Ji Ma Canal. Surrounded by water, it covers an area of 15,000 square meters. The district was built in the early 1960s, with buildings mainly consisting of flat houses with blue brick ridges, square battlements on the houses for reinforcement, arched doors, and shapes such as square pools and triangles above the doors, engraved with slogans of the era, reflecting the strong specific atmosphere of X governance of the sixties and seventies of the last century. On October 23, 2008, it was announced by the People's Government of Hebei Province as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit.
