"I recently stayed at the Solana Beach Resort during my trip to Mauritius and wanted to share a balanced look at the highlights and a couple of unexpected drawbacks of my stay. The Highlights: Comfort & Tranquility The Room: We stayed in the Junior Suite Sea View, and it did not disappoint. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and came equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Wake up to the sea view was a major plus. Location: Situated near Belle Mare on the eastern coast of Mauritius, the resort is in a very calm, quiet, and peaceful area. If you are looking to disconnect and relax, this location is ideal. Activities & Amenities: The resort has its own spa and offers fantastic sea excursions right from the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary water activities, including the glass-bottom boat, snorkeling, and paddle boating. The Food & Restaurants: The dining options were a definite highlight of our stay. The main restaurant, Cinnamon, serves an overall good buffet for both breakfast and dinner, featuring a great variety of multiple cuisines including Mauritian, Indian, and Western dishes. Additionally, the resort features another on-property restaurant focused on fine dining that serves excellent Italian cuisine. The Drawbacks: Isolation & Nickle-and-Diming Quiet Nights: Because the resort is far from the main city centers, there is absolutely no local market or nightlife/entertainment nearby. Once the sun goes down, the property becomes very silent. This is perfect for couples or relaxation, but worth noting if you prefer a bit of evening energy. The Water Policy (A Major Disappointment): This was the biggest letdown of our stay. The resort provides 2 complimentary bottles of water daily, but charges for any extra bottles you need in the room. Worse yet, water is chargeable during dinner. Having traveled to almost 40+ countries, this is the very first time I have ever encountered a resort charging for standard table water during a dinner service. For a resort of this caliber, charging for basic drinking water feels incredibly cheap and dampens the overall guest experience."

"A cool hotel, all new and clean, excellent service. Everything is included, which is important, because there are almost no restaurants/cafes or shops in this part of the island, or, better to say, no restaurants/cafes or shops at all. For dinner, you can even try a lobster;) However, I would draw attention to the purity of dishes in the dining room, and that is not only my opinion, because it is a health issue! In a hotel of this level, it is unacceptable to have “captured” plates and, forgive me, unwashed. Very beautiful and well-looked area, but the beach is windy and not the most convenient, but there are swimming pools. If you go right there are more convenient areas with beautiful views."

"The room is very nice, with a living room, kitchen and bedroom on the second floor. It's all great together. It's just that there are mice 🐭 that come out in the kitchen at night. But there is no danger, it is just looking for food."

"The RIU Turquoise was genuinely one of the best stays I’ve had. The rooms were amazing — spacious, modern, and always spotless. You could tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything at a really high standard. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with clear water and a really relaxed atmosphere, and the pool area is just as impressive — plenty of space, great vibe, and perfect for unwinding. The spa was also a highlight, such a nice place to properly switch off and relax. Food-wise, it really exceeded expectations. Having multiple restaurants gave loads of choice, and everything was consistently good. The steakhouse in particular stood out — easily one of the best meals of the trip. What really made the stay though was the staff. Everyone, from reception to the restaurant teams, was so polite, friendly, and welcoming. The level of hospitality was outstanding and made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. Overall, an amazing hotel with great facilities, fantastic food, and genuinely excellent service — would 100% go back."

"Beautiful location awesome property we loved it. One improvement can be, include Indian food in their breakfast buffet and Dinner buffet so that we don't end up disappointed with food next time with which we were quite disappointed this time. If not authentic Indian food atleast veg pizza will work, as most of the Indians like pizza."

"It was okay! Nothing special. It was part of our honeymoon, I wrote it on the notes during the booking but there was no acknowledgment from the staff or done anything special for us. Food was okay, definitely repeatjng buffet, nothing specials Location is quite isolated but if you have a car it’s not that bad."

"I had a great stay at Royal Green Resort. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good if you have a car — about 57 minutes from the airport by car. I would like to thank Vedhna in particular; she was professional and very kind in all her interactions with me."

"The atmosphere of the hotel is very good, warm and warm and many guests. But the room was really old, the door was painted on a wooden board, and the door card was demagnetized every day. "The beach of Mao Ball really doesn't want to hold too high expectations. This is the third home in Mao Ball. The service and the first two are really incomparable, because the former one lived in a bubble and served too much. There is no comparison here, you can only say that the price is OK, after all, this price is cheaper in the hair ball. To praise the bath water here, because the bubble is open air, so the bath water is cold at night, no matter where the bath water is good in the morning and evening, it is close to the SUPER U flacq shop. Go to the hair ball and try to avoid Sunday. We had 2 weeks of this trip, which was wasted. The public holiday supermarket of Zhoumao Maoshu was closed, the hotel was closed, and the project did not have to play."
