"Hygiene: Very clean. This is the cleanest place I stayed in Egypt, along with the Winter Palace in Luxor. You can tell they pay attention to details regarding cleanliness, which made me feel quite at ease. Service: Excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only exception was a man who always wore sunglasses in the rooftop breakfast area; he seemed a bit cold. He might be the owner. On our first day, when we arrived early, he said we'd have to pay extra for breakfast, which is technically correct, but it felt a bit insensitive given the situation. More importantly, their breakfast selection wasn't very diverse and didn't look appealing. We'd rather order takeout. Facilities: The suite was very spacious, which was great. If the price difference isn't too much, I recommend choosing a suite. The bedding was comfortable, and the decor was new and beautiful. The only issue was the water pressure – while there was enough hot water, the pressure wasn't strong enough. Sometimes it was too hot, other times just lukewarm, making showering not very comfortable. Environment: The location is decent, in the Old City, but you pretty much need to take a taxi to go anywhere, as Cairo's traffic isn't pedestrian-friendly. There isn't much to explore right outside the hotel. You can order takeout from Ma Jia Noodle House and many other downtown restaurants. The soundproofing in the suites is just okay; you can hear people talking in the hallway, though this doesn't happen often. Suites and a few other rooms face the street, so you'll faintly hear various car horns from Cairo's roads. For those who sleep soundly, this isn't a problem, and it's relatively better than staying near a riverside elevated highway."

"Historic bank on the outside, sophisticated boutique hotel on the inside, a brilliant merge! Despite its location being right in the bustling heart of Cairo, with many cafes & shops all around, the building is tucked into a little street with less traffic, so the noise levels are lower. The hotel itself was unassuming from the outside (there was no signage that said ”Saint J Hotel”), but we were warmly greeted by the friendly hotel staff. The lobby was simple but had a lovely, refreshing scent - a nice touch. The rooms were spacious, beautifully-designed & well-equipped with everything we needed & more. Our mother had so much fun cooking a bit of breakfast for the family daily. The beds were so comfortable. The bathrooms were such a delight - super strong rain shower, it was heavenly! There was a washer (with laundry detergent provided) in each room too, which was very handy. Just two things that needs to be improved: 1. Install sheer curtains behind the thick curtains so that guests can let natural light in without worrying about privacy 2. Install hooks or towel bars in the bathroom for guests to hang towels All in all, we were so happy we stayed here!"

"I must admit I hesitated when booking this hotel for my father and me: it is fairly new and there were still only a few reviews online. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff and the quality of the accommodation. Our room 1204 was spacious, nicely decorated, and spotless. The bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom was fully functional. The hotel is ideally located in the El Hussein and Al-Azhar area, just a few meters from Khan el-Khalili and Al-Muizz Street (a true open-air museum). In addition, within a 15–20 minute Uber ride, you can easily reach many other points of interest. And even though the neighborhood is very lively, El Rashedy Hotel is tucked away in a small side street, away from the noise. We had initially planned to stay from November 17 to 22 and then finish our trip at another hotel in Zamalek, but we loved this place so much that we extended our stay until November 26. A big thank you to the entire team—reception, management, and housekeeping—for their warm welcome, availability, and valuable advice."

"We arrived very very early in morning because of delayed flight but the check in was seamless and room was ready and we managed breakfast. Cleanliness is excellent for its style and location which we enjoyed very much. Location is perfect if you want to feel for real non tourist Cairo and all major points of interest are walkable distances. It’s not the Hilton or Ritz but it is somewhere where you will feel at home. Due to cultural differences you might want to stock up on tissue rolls and bottles 😅. Hi recommended and will stay again without any thought. The staff at Breakfast were especially warm and welcoming at every breakfast and the one dinner we had there, thank you Fouad."

"We booked two nights. We arrived in Cairo late on the first night and were told that there were no rooms available. We were moved to another hotel not far away, which was a little worse. We returned to the original hotel on the second night, which was quite troublesome. Service: The waiters in both hotels were quite enthusiastic."

"Wow, this place is really great and offers excellent value for money. The facilities are top-notch, and the other guests are very polite and respectful of personal space. The staff here are some of the best English speakers I've encountered in Egypt. They were incredibly caring and thoughtful when I asked them to help me communicate with locals. One lady even helped me loosely plan my itinerary for the next few days. I'd definitely love to come back and stay in one of their private rooms if I get the chance."

"The hotel is centrally located but it lacks a sign outside, so it's difficult to find. Staff was great and the room was OK- a very comfortable bed, mattress, duvet and pillows but a ridiculously small bathroom with shoddy fixtures (sink faucet) and limited soap and toilet paper, impossible to move around in. The floor was also in poor shape - mostly unsightly, otherwise solid, and charging ports were too far from the bed. The one close to it did not hold the phone charger - it would simply slide off. Street noise might be an issue for more sensitive people. In spite of this the great communication from the staff made my stay more comfortable. I did not try the breakfast - so no opinion there."
