"Positives: Great location. Minutes to Serdica, Lion’s Bridge metro stations and easy access to public buses, shops and eateries. Room was spacious and clean. Negatives: the door to enter the room is hard to open from inside- u need to step into the bathroom in order for the door to open wide. The area outside the room is not soundproof so the noise when people talk (in my case, kids talking and crying) is very loud and clearly heard."

"The hotel is well located, certainly, but very, very noisy. It's impossible to sleep well with the trolleys passing by the room from 6 a.m. onwards... Maybe it's better upstairs. The first floor is hell. The carpet is quite dirty. The room is spacious and the bed very comfortable."

"Great location for travelling, 10 minute walk to Central Bus & train stations. Just off the main street so quiet. 3minute walk to the subway, where you can go 5 stops to the end of the line and take bus 66 up through the pine forest of the Vitoska mountain & ski lifts. We had a double room with a small balcony that was fine. Just asked reception & got a kettle & coffee,& sugar. The bathroom has been refitted with new towels & was spotless. The room carpet is probably next for changing It seems the cleaners used too much insecticide which left a lingering smell. The breakfast was 3 minutes walk to a sister hotel. There was a good choice of cereals, fruit, breads, cakes cold cuts etc It's not luxurious but great for a couple for 3 mights"

"The property is located in the center of Sofia, very close to the pedestrian zone. Fast WiFi. Clean showers and toilets. The kitchen is well-equipped. The room is clean and air-conditioned. The bed is comfortable. Towels and slippers are also provided. Daily room cleaning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have an early flight, you can check out by leaving your keys in a special box. I highly recommend this property."

"The hotel was fine for the price. Staff were very helpful, the view of the city was amazing. The bed was okay, there was no overhead lighting. One had to use lamps. The fridge in the room was nice to have but noisy. I unplugged it at night. It kept the contents cold by the next morning. Daily house keeping, metro just outside and a shopping mall across the road. There is Burger King, KFC, Subway if you are craving Western food. Basic amenities but clean and comfortable."

"A lot to love but some big problems too. Amazing location, great big room, and very easy check-in. Love that there's a sofa in the room and a fridge. Problems: - A/C (Or a pump of some sort) extremely loud from 6am in our room (3) and made sleeping impossible, extremely annoying. It lasted hours. - Bathroom had a bad smell like sewage, constantly. - No shower curtain turned the bathroom into a lake every time we showered, even when trying to be careful."

"I stayed at the Art Hotel 158 for just one night, arriving from an evening flight that did not coincide with other means of transport. Despite the short stay, I was extremely satisfied. The hotel is new, the rooms are very clean, as is the bathroom. The staff is really kind, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful: rich and varied, with eggs, muesli, yogurt, croissants, fruit and much more. And with a funny touch: the lady who prepared the breakfasts almost got worried seeing me eat so little… and served me a second batch of eggs! A short but perfect stay. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel was nice, glad that I’ve found it online, it’s hard to find a good hotel to book online due to tons of negative feedbacks, but this one has a great feedback so I booked it. And it did not disappoint me. Hotel is clean with good fragrance that you can smell the moment that you’ll enter the lobby / reception. Service is great, friendly and accommodating staff. The room is spacious, seems like a 4 star room for me. They serve breakfast, with tons of seats where you can relax after check in while waiting for your next trip or flight. I forgot my bag in their lounge area / lobby before I went to their restaurant to take coffee. Then was in a hurry to go to the car service I booked outside when it was already time to go to the bus station going to Romania. After arriving at the bus station, I noticed that my bag is not in my possession, when I was about to get my other phone. Because I have other luggages to carry and was in hurry. I was worried sick that it will be lost, my bag, glad that it was there. The staff handed it over, they kept it, and nothing was missing. After getting it, I got an email from the booking app where I booked the hotel, telling me that Amar Design Hotel contacted them saying that I left my bag at the hotel. And they were asking for my contact number to reach me, they were to kind to do that right immediately. But I already got the bag. Still thankful and grateful to their staff. I would definitely check in here again when I get back to Sofia, and will recommend it to friends who are traveling here. Thank you. It was a nice stay, and their service made it even great!"

"The hotel is near the M1 subway station, there is free parking, there is rail transit nearby, you can go to the parliament building and other hotels on the M1 line of the subway. You can walk to a Chinese restaurant along the rail transit (the double lion is about 800 meters) The taste is really good, the price is not expensive, we 4 people eat 30 yuan Bulgarian Lev, which is 15 euros. There are crispy duck, fish-flavored pork, green vegetables and fried noodles. The hotel breakfast is not bad, the service is very good, there are banks and parks next to it, there is a local restaurant in the park that tastes good and the price is reasonable."
