Seat 2A
This is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality.
My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable:
* Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector. This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant
* In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient.
Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

Marko could not have been more helpful. He picked me up from the airport at a late hour for less than a taxi, was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He helped me with everything I needed to have a comfortable stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but I am going back to Split later this week and have booked with him already. The location is a stone's throw from the center of town and it is very quiet and peaceful. I loved the shampoo/body cleanser they have in the shower, it made my hair very shiny and bouncy! Plus the price cannot be beat. Highly recommend and, as I said, I've booked another stay already.

Anessaaaexplore📍 The Location is Absolutely Perfect!
The single best thing about Croparadise is its super nice, central location. It is tucked into a great neighborhood (Lučac-Manuš) that puts you right in the beating heart of Split while still letting you get a peaceful night's sleep.
Historic Sights: You are literally just a 4-minute walk away from the historic Diocletian’s Palace and only 5 minutes away from the famous Split Riva promenade. The massive Gregory of Nin statue is practically around the corner.
Transit Hubs: It’s incredibly convenient if you're arriving by transit or planning to do some island-hopping. The main Split train station, ferry port, and the Trznica bus stop are all within a short, flat 5-to-10-minute walk. You won't have to drag your heavy luggage across town!
Beaches & Dining: Bačvice Beach is only about a 10-minute walk away if you want to take a quick dip in the Adriatic. Plus, the hostel is surrounded by amazing local restaurants, bakeries, and cafes (like the famous Bokeria kitchen & wine bar just down the street).
🤝 Super Nice and Helpful Staff
A great location means nothing without great hospitality, and the staff at Croparadise are absolute gems. From the literal minute I checked in, the team went above and beyond to make me feel right at home.
They are incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling no matter how busy it gets.
They sat down with me to give the absolute best local recommendations for hidden-gem restaurants, affordable spots to try authentic Croatian food, and tips on how to save money when visiting nearby islands.
They also offer free luggage storage, which was a lifesaver on my last day when I wanted to explore the city without carrying my bags after check-out. They genuinely care about making your Croatian adventure unforgettable!

GabrielaMedranoThis is a self check in hotel. The hotel staff gives you all the instructions to get the key. I was fortunate to arrive at 3 pm and met the person in charge of the hotel. She explained to me everything. During summer if you open the window the AC stops working. So you basically stay with the windows closed or feel the heat with open windows. The breakfast was okay. The crepes were SO big for 1 person. The omelet was good size too. The room is big. There is security box and fridge.
Let's mention the bad things: you need to go up to your room and bring your suitcase sometimes to the 3rd floor. The toilet was big but it had a strong smell. The soap for hands was so strong. Very strong smell. Why do you use that soap?. You need to change this (just saying...) . There is a bar in the 1st floor that belongs to the hotel. There was a football match and a person turned on the volume of the TV so loud at 11 pm. I had to go downstairs to tell the staff I had to sleep. Expensive accommodation but what do you expect from Split?

Pro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up.
Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages.
(2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to.
(3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times.
(4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos.
(5) There is no lift at the property.
We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.

The location is excellent, with easy access to the old town. The cleanliness, food and friendliness of the staff is without a single complaint. The child especially enjoyed the pool, considering our visit in January.

Guest User

The location is excellent, close to everything, restaurants, cafes, and next to the sea. It is better to stay at the hotel without breakfast.
