I can only repeat what the other reviews are mentioning: it’s clean, got good amenities, but everything seems a bit old. We had some WiFi issues but when it was working it was good. In general, the service wasn’t that great. We arrived tired after a long drive, no help with parking the car or the luggage. Check in was the most rigorous we had, even checking all the flight and train numbers we took. Also didn’t allow us to take a rest first. We went on a hike and wanted to take some Baozi from the breakfast - forbidden (I found that in China this is usually no problem). However, I think for the price it’s fine and while it doesn’t look like it, it’s quite clean. Also the dinner was quite good, breakfast not so much.

Located a little distance from the old-town is perfect for a good night sleep. The room had a magnificent view towards the mountains. The staff was wonderful and helped us with all our needs and enquiries. The breakfast was included and had a mix of Western and Asian dishes. We did not visit the gym or swimming pool during our stay. We will choose the hotel again.

The hotel is very well located, right in the heart of Dukezong Ancient Town. You can get to all the main attractions in Dukezong by foot. The staff is also helpful. They helped us carry our luggage from the hotel to the gate of the old town after we checked out. The bedroom is spacious and cozy, it makes you feel in tune with the traditional ******* lifestyle.

hotel is new. Rooms are large, clean, comfortable and well designed. A New hotel also means some inexperience staff, but everyone tries their best. One downside of the hotels location is the walking path to the old town is quite long as the direct pathway is currently blocked. Hope that changes

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view is amazing all around. Our room was beautifully designed, bathroom window facing the snow mountain. The floor heating and fire place makes the whole room warm and cozy. Their property located on a route to the big hike, makes it convenient to check out the mountains and water fall. Super friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet our needs. Also really loved the breakfast and dinner experience. Home style cooking, eventuating was yummy on the menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Yunnan. This hotel itself is an whole experience to enjoy.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming accommodation. The place is very near to the main road where the taxi can drop you off right at the doorstep. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Zhang Hui 张慧 and her husband who made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing helpful tips about the area and checking in to see if we needed anything. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort. The rooms were exceptionally cozy, spacious and warm. We really appreciate the heated floor! Overall, our experience was nothing short of wonderful. This place truly has it all: a clean and comfortable room with skylight, a stunning courtyard and amazing hosts who really care about their guests. Can't wait to return for another stay!

I was skeptical about TeaHorse at first due to the lack of reviews but this turned out to be a wonderful stay! We stayed here overnight on our 2 day hike through the Tiger Leaping Gorge. We upgraded to the Deluxe Standard Room (for extra 50 CNY) since the room is newer and slightly bigger. The ensuite toilet was basic but very clean. The beds were also heated and the aircon could be used for heating and cooling. The guesthouse also runs a restaurant cooking homecooked meals and a cafe/bar boasting a beautiful view. We felt that the view from TeaHorse was better than the one at Halfway House, which seems to be the more popular resting spot amongst hikers. The view of stars from the cafe viewpoint at night is also amazing. The staff helped us book a return bus to Lijiang, which left from Tina’s guesthouse the next day. Tina’s was a 4h hike from TeaHorse and we boarded the bus back to Lijiang Old Town with no problem. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend this room as an overnight rest point for hikers.

The boss said that the room is his own house. The second and third floors are newly renovated rooms. Although it is very new, there is no smell. The room is very clean. The sanitary products are also very complete, and the quality of disposable toiletries is also very good. The room uses floor heating, although there are two large windows, it is not cold at night. It is also equipped with an oxygen generator. It is a bit high and I can't sleep well. I have a lot more comfortable sleeping after sucking oxygen for a while in the middle of the night. The window can see the side of Songzanlin Temple. The hillside not far from the store is the place to take the morning view of Songzanlin Temple, about five or six minutes away. I highly recommend this homestay! This is a homestay I accidentally saw, but I was pleasantly surprised by the boss's personality and the overall environment of the homestay. The boss contacted us early in the morning to arrange parking and introduced the attractions and indoor facilities (oxygen concentrator, humidifier, floor heating, disposable bath towels, etc.). The overall environment of the homestay is what I like very much, simple, bright and clean. Tremella and lotus seed soup is also provided free of charge at night. But this is my second time in Shangri-La, so I didn't plan to stay in Shangri-La for a long time this time, so I only slept for one night and went to Meili in the early morning, otherwise I really want to stay here for a while longer. We stayed in Meili for 3 days, but unfortunately, we didn't see the Rizhao Jinshan. As the boss said: This is also a hazy blessing! This was the best hotel experience I have ever had and certainly the best I will ever have. When I arrived I was planning on staying only one night but I stayed as long as my visa allowed. The Wunderfull family who run the hotel are super fun, helpful and include you in all the local activities they do. The names I am writing are probably wrong, but ”wang rang” already welcomed me with open arms and always cooked delicious Chinese food. The mother, ”Boss”, looked super cool, organized everything you needed and was happy to share a lot of laughs. The same goes for her daughter ”Qiqi”, who also taught me a Chinese game and was always ready to have a nice conversation with you. And then there is the son ”Lele”. From the first moment we talked, I knew we were going to be good friends. When we drove around Shangri-la Lake in a Caprio, made a big musical performance while cooking, or played cards and Nintendo Switch all night together. He is just a person who can always make you smile and feel happy from the bottom of your heart. I will be so happy if you come to Germany and visit me, and I will have a free bed for sure. Because in these few days we didn't stay friends. We became bros. FOREVER.
