Booked this hotel at an incredibly cheap price, so I wasn't expecting much, after all, I just wanted a place to sleep since I was checking in late anyway. To my surprise, it was a very beautiful hotel! I deeply regret not booking the rest of my stay here, because the next time i checked, the price skyrocketed. Moreover, this is a great hotel, i read bad reviews but NONE of which I experienced during my brief stay. Ps: A security deposit of 1000 baht is required upon check in, so be ready with your cash. It will be refunded after check-out.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with excellent staff who is 100% guest & service orientated. Nothing was too much for them. It was a super easy and comfortable stay, from check-in, breakfast, location, room service, views it just all worked in harmony. I will 100% stay here again.

I only had rush trip in Bkk for 1 night. I and my teenage son arrived at midnight, only 1 night duty staff was at counter but he was very kind to me, Warm welcome with smiles. security guard who help us with parking did a great job. Next day, check out, front staff are welcome with smiles and because of heavy traffic, we are required for tuk tuk service, staff who drove us so kind, he dropped us at BTS elevator also help me carry my luggage. Hotel room new, clean, bed and pillows are comfy, slippers, iron+iron board. I will definitely return to Oakwood sukhumvit again. 5 starts services.

Our recent stay at the Ramada Hotel was truly delightful. The reception staff not only displayed friendliness but also provided exceptional service. We were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade from a Grand Deluxe Twin room to a Plaza Twin Suite with a city view. The spacious suite featured a separate living area and two TVs for added comfort. The hotel shows a tranquil ambiance and offered complimentary teas, coffees, and bottled water. The bathroom amenities, white fresh towels, including a lavish shower and a bathtub with body scrubs, truly enhanced our experience. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a complimentary room filled with pastries, popcorn, and a variety of hot and cold beverages. The accommodating staff in various areas such as the bar, restaurant, and Executive Lounge significantly contributed to our enjoyable stay. Don't miss the diverse breakfast options at The Wave restaurant, which caters to both local and international tastes. While we regret not trying the all-day dining experience at the Executive Lounge on the 15th floor, which offers breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails, and a Thai buffet for an additional fee of 1500 Baht, we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch selection that included chicken tikka masala, club sandwich, pork ribs, wagyu beef burger, and mango smoothie, all of which were delicious. The hotel's lovely deck, riverfront dining area, live band performances in the lobby, and convenient location make it an ideal choice for exploration. The exceptional pool facilities, with a scenic riverside view where you can watch passing riverboats and capture stunning sunrise and sunset moments, were truly outstanding. Undoubtedly, this hotel will remain our top choice for future visits to the area.

It is a hotel with history. They have full facilities/services from buffet breakfast (it is 450 baht, if you buy when you check in) to outdoor swimming pool to fitness centre, Lotus Spa to sauna. They have a famous Chinese restaurant which offers authentic dim sum. I was assigned to another block for my accommodation. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The plug supports the UK plug, which I find it very friendly to tourists. The soundproofing was bad. There are many reflective surfaces, like 2 huge mirrors in the room, one facing the bed, and the drawing also can reflect. I will stay if the price is right.

Bedroom is huge! As usual Bed and Pillows are comfortable. Clean room. The hotel has a very unusual dark theme . Lift needs to have lights shining at the buttons otherwise we can’t see what to press. Nice scent in the lobby. Wifi keeps kicking us out. Staff are efficient in English.

Hotel is well located, it is less than 10 minutes walk to Ratchadamri & Chit Lom BTS / Siam Paragon / Erawan Shrine and more. Rooms are big and comes with kitchen and washing machine! Only thing is that the interior is a bit dated but at least the rooms are very clean. Overall had very good experience staying there. Will definitely stay again in my next trip to Bkk.

Hotel service was excellent. Our flight got moved to a very early one and foh let us checked in at 11am. That’s very nice of them. Room definitely towards earlier 2000s decor but still clean. Air con is strong and thanks god. Definitely worth the money with the great location that near everything.

The location is very convenient. The skytrain is very close. The customer service throughout the hotel is excellent. All of the staff are really great. The amenities, room and other hotel items are dated compared with the W Hotels in China. A lot of things need to be replaced such as bath robes and hair dryers. The breakfast is not as extensive as other W Hotels but is still pretty good. The view from the room is quite nice. It would be nice if the spa had later opening hours. Overall it is a good place to stay in Bangkok!

The Standard Hotel, Bangkok: Not your standard but of exacting exalted standards. I’m a loyalist to Standard Hotel LA Downtown. It has a bit of an irreverent and non-conformist verve - attracting a gamut of characters from the ultra pretentious to the authentically creative or artistic types. It is flashy, LGBT embracing, unapologetic, over the top, form defying, stylish, excessive, extravagant, wanton and bursting with character. Hence it will always be a magnet for characters and drug-fuelled-all-nighter parties but you can expect a scrubbed-clean version in BKK. I flew to Bangkok specifically for the new Standard Hotel - I’ve been dying to check this out. It absolutely doesn’t disappoint. You do get hordes of pretentious IG-ers or alleged annoying influencers doing their 3 hour shoots. But if you got a creative eye like I do and genuinely appreciate solid architecture, offbeat interior styling and intricate art pieces then this place is heaven for you. The style is a mash-up of the most daring and eclectic seemingly mismatched pieces that miraculously come woven together to create a signature style. It is so incredible. There’s no ordinary here - the commanding ceiling art piece outside The Standard Grill restaurant is so technically remarkable I stood there to drink up all the details. It’s so layered here - I feel that the vanity of the superfluous influencers robbed the true meticulous design considerations. I can go at lengths about the styling but I’ll just state that you should deconstruct every element and wow your senses. Everything is modestly sized - pool. Steam room, restaurant, bars, etc. Restaurants are an experience unlike any other - Ojo is mex glam meets Jetson futuristic posh. Tease is a popup fairy tale afternoon tea delight. Mott 32 is chinois haute glam. Standard Grill is tailored classiness. The Parlor is a riot of styles. They are all so exciting. What’s even better is the incredible service. There are some hits and misses but the staff genuinely strive to please. Tina who is busy darting around at the reception, lobby and everywhere is saccharine sweet and effervescent. We nearly missed our flight when the sky emptied and no cabs were found. She so very coolly and humorously handled our mini crisis with such panache, we were so impressed. Look past the superficial influencers or pretentious wannabes. Come and blow your senses out with an experience you should bucket list. #eatstylishtravelstylish
