Fascinating to see other parts of Taiwan not too far from Taipei and learn some history. See incredible natural sights and just a great half day trip. Highly recommend. Amy was/is fantastic, enthusiastic, happy and so knowledgeable (in many languages)!

The whole trip was fantastic! Our tour leader, Michael, was incredibly friendly and even ordered us some super delicious peanut ice cream rolls at Shifen Old Street. I highly recommend this day trip! 🙌🙌🙌

I saw McDonald's e-tickets on Trip.com with discounts, which were significantly cheaper than ordering a la carte or a set meal at the store. Using them with platform promotions or coupons made it even more cost-effective. The voucher was issued almost instantly after ordering, and the redemption barcode was very clear. I could simply scan the barcode at the McDonald's counter or self-service ordering machine to redeem it—it was fast and saved me money. I'll definitely buy from them again next time there's a promotion!

Getting around Taiwan is so much easier with an EasyCard! It was super easy to buy and sooo convenient to use. I got my Hello Kitty card at the airport and started using it right away. 🎀 You can use it to: 🚇 Pay for MRT rides and buses. 🚆 Use some local trains. 🏪 Pay at convenience stores like 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. 🚲 Rent YouBike bicycles (with the required registration). You can top it up at MRT stations and convenience stores whenever your balance runs low. My tip: Get one as soon as you arrive at the airport. No need to buy separate tickets for every ride — just tap and go! Small card, big help! 💗

The last time I went to Jiufen, I took an evening bus tour and, as expected, saw the fantastic scenery of red lanterns. However, it was incredibly crowded in the rain, and even climbing the steep stairs was frightening. This time, I joined a tour in the morning to enjoy the daytime scenery from the mountains when it was less crowded. It turned out to be a great decision! I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and atmosphere under a clear blue sky.
