Reviews: Hokkaido Biei & Furano Flower Fields Day Tour from Sapporo: Shikisai-no-Oka(Ticket Included), Farm Tomita, Blue Pond & Shirahige Waterfall (Optional: 9-Pax Small Group / Hotel Pick-up)

On July 19, 2026, I took a day trip. I had booked a large bus tour, but due to insufficient participants, I was upgraded to a smaller car tour for free, and luckily, I even got to sit in the front passenger seat. There were nine people in the group, half of whom were foreigners. Our driver and guide, Mimi, was a young woman from Beijing. She was fluent in both Japanese and English, very knowledgeable, and a skilled driver. She also cleverly avoided peak-hour parking queues (it was a three-day weekend in Japan, so there were many cars). The experience was excellent. The weather was also nice, mostly cloudy, with rain only at the end of our visit to Shikisai-gaoka. Although the lavender in Furano was almost finished blooming, and other flowers weren't in full bloom, on a sunny summer day, Biei felt like a scene from a manga.

The perfect choice for a family trip! Beautiful scenery, amazing guide, and the whole family was satisfied! Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to Hokkaido! This trip with my family included visits to so many attractions, all incredibly beautiful – it truly wasn't just "worth the price"! A special shout-out to our guide, HAYASHI, who was extremely professional and dedicated to taking care of every member of the group. Even my family had a fantastic time, constantly praising the excellent itinerary! With HAYASHI's attentive care, the family trip was relaxed and worry-free. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The program was great and the bus was comfortable, but above all, Guide Lisa was truly the best. She must have been extremely tired from the schedule starting early in the morning, but I was deeply moved by how she never lost her smile and did her best until the very end. She took so many beautiful photos for us, and I highly recommend her a million times over.

This itinerary is too long to explore on your own, so a day trip is a good option. One and a half hours each for Shikisai-no-oka and Furano is generally enough; half an hour for the Blue Pond and 20 minutes for Shirahige Falls felt rushed – basically just enough time to climb up, take a few photos, and the time was up. We took a minibus with the driver, which had 10 seats. The bus was a bit old but quite clean. However, the legroom was limited, making it difficult to stretch out, and the two-and-a-half-hour journey was a bit tiring! The driver was a steady driver and a nice guy; he was from Northeast China.

Joining the Hokkaido Furano day tour was a great experience. The itinerary was well-planned, with ample time to visit each attraction. Our tour guide, Xiao Cai, was fluent in Chinese, Japanese, English, and Cantonese, taking good care of each member of the group who spoke different languages. When any problems arose, he proactively helped us contact customer service, and they were resolved smoothly. Thumbs up to the young Xiao Cai! 👍 I hope he continues to do well and achieve even greater success!
