We were very pleased with the trip ❤️ We agreed with the driver (Mr. Qu) that he would pick us up at 8:30. A different time was possible, but we decided to leave this way. We took the simple option, without a guide, so we weren't expecting any communication (we'd read in reviews of other services that people were just driven around the route points and that was it). However, our Mr. Qu was very talkative, communicating with us through a translator since he didn't speak English. He told us where he was taking us, helped us take photos, and discussed the route. The route could always be adjusted to suit our needs, but we were happy with the original plan. On the mountain itself, after about 50 steps, we gave up and suggested turning back, but he said, "It's only two turns to the top." We barely made it to the top, but the views and impressions were worth it. We climbed solely thanks to the fighting spirit of our guide, and afterward we decided, "If he can make us climb, we'll follow him anywhere." We really enjoyed it; we'll be back.

Our trip to Qingdao was very successful. Our driver arrived at the hotel on time to pick us up. The drive was smooth and he was witty and humorous, introducing us to Qingdao's local customs and specialties along the way. Laoshan Mountain truly lives up to its reputation as a fairyland by the sea; the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. The people are kind and friendly. The travel photographer who took us there was very professional, capturing those wonderful moments perfectly. Qingdao is a city you'll want to return to again and again.
