I used it on my trip to Chiang Mai. I had no trouble getting around the city. I also ventured into the mountainous areas, where the signal was poor, making internet searches and social media slow. However, the map was not a problem.★

The unlimited internet plan is the best, in my opinion. I initially got 2GB per day—it's woefully insufficient; by lunchtime, the download speed dropped to almost nothing. Then I got another e-SIM with unlimited data on Trip during a special offer and haven't had any connection issues since. And if you plan on using delivery services or local Internet, it's best to get a SIM card with at least an incoming number; that way, you won't have any registration issues.
