In Europe, eSIM with a mobile number and call functionality is the cheapest option. You can connect immediately at Budapest airport, but in hotels in Budapest, Zagreb, and Ljubljana, the internet speed is either very slow or impossible to connect at all. Outdoors and in the suburbs, there are generally no problems. I haven't used the call functionality, so I'm not sure. If the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, it's a cost-effective choice.★

We bought an eSIM for a three-week trip to the Seychelles. It worked 100%, never let us down. It also worked perfectly on the islands of La Digue and Praslin. It was easy to install, turned on upon arrival, and started working right away. Very convenient and great value. Physical SIM cards are very expensive in Mahe. I used it all day, checking Instagram, posting stories, and we didn't use up all the data in three weeks. We only used Wi-Fi in the evenings. So, I recommend it to everyone!
