Reviews: Sailing Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor for 3 Nights

We took a three-night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Overall, we enjoyed the trip: beautiful views, interesting temples, and good organization. The Zeina is a decent boat: not new, but acceptable. The food is good, and the staff is polite. There's a pool on the upper deck and a beautiful view of the Nile while sailing. In terms of cleanliness, it's worth giving a discount to Egypt: the standard is below average, but overall acceptable. We enjoyed the excursions. We had comfortable transfers, a good guide, Mido, in Aswan, and a decent guide, Ahmed, in Luxor. The temples are very beautiful and interesting. What's important to keep in mind: there are early morning wake-ups between 3 and 5 AM almost every day. Entrance fees are not included, and drinks on the boat are extra. You'll also need to budget for tips/baksheesh: drivers, guides, and cruise staff will receive these, plus an envelope for the crew upon check-out. On the downside, the hot air balloon ride in Luxor was canceled due to weather. This wasn't the organizers' fault, but we were counting on it. Overall, I enjoyed the cruise. Just be prepared for early wake-ups and extra charges.

We had a great experience with George (the tour guide) during our day trip to Abu Simbel. He was punctual, polite, and very professional throughout the journey. He thoughtfully provided drinks and snacks, which made the long drive much more comfortable. We also arrived early at Abu Simbel, ahead of all the tourist coaches, which made the visit much more enjoyable and less crowded. What really stood out was his willingness to share his knowledge—he offered us a guided experience along the way, explaining the history of Aswan and Abu Simbel in an engaging and informative manner. It added a lot of value to the trip and made it much more than just transportation.

Very convenient. Easy, simple, and inexpensive. Just make sure you activate it in Russia before your flight, because activation (NOT turning it on, but actually activating it) requires internet access, and there's no guarantee there'll be free Wi-Fi or that you'll be able to connect to it on the other side (like SMS messages to Russian numbers don't arrive in Egypt). I recommend it.

Scheduling the hotel pick-up was quick and easy. The driver arrived on time and was kind, polite, and very friendly. The buffet was delicious and varied; they sell drinks, but the prices are reasonable. The return trip to the hotel was excellent. Everything was great.
