I participated in this tour as a solo traveler. There were many other solo travelers as well. The tour itself was very enjoyable, there were about 10 participants, everyone had a great atmosphere, and they came from all over the world, including the US and Europe, which made it fun. However, if you're going to take this tour, you should definitely stay in a downtown hotel. The booking screen says that any hotel in Calgary is OK, but they only pick you up downtown. I was staying in a hotel near the airport, so I had to walk to downtown on my own for an hour and a half early in the morning. They did drop me off at my hotel on the way back, but they charged me an extra $30. Also, you'll be communicating with the tour guide via WhatsApp, so it's a good idea to download and register before you leave the country. eSIMs often don't have a phone number, so switching to a local network once you're there can be a hassle.
