No issues with chatgpt. Used around fukuoka/kyushu area. Certain areas are not stable as its inside the mountains but i think thats normal even for other sims. Tip: try switching to 4g/ change provider if that happens.★

After arriving at my destination, I deactivated the SIM card I was using in Japan and switched to the eSIM I purchased from trip.com, and that was it. It was ready to use immediately. I chose the 2GB per day plan, which was sufficient. I only used it for searching for shops and using map apps, so maybe 1GB would have been enough. In any case, the data usage starts counting from the moment you turn it on, so even though it was a 2-night, 3-day trip, I arrived and departed at night, so I only had to pay for 2 days, which saved me money.★
