Phoenix Mountain of China is located in the southern suburbs of Fengcheng, Dandong, and is famous for its beautiful mountain scenery. In summer, it is quiet, cool, and pleasant, making it a well-known summer resort in eastern Liaoning. In the golden autumn of October, the mountains are covered with red maples, making it an excellent place to admire the leaves and enjoy the fall. The main peak here is over 800 meters above sea level. Though not particularly high, the mountain is renowned for its steepness. Walking along the precipitous "Laoniubei" (Old Ox's Back) ridge offers a thrilling experience. The serene springs and caves are also a highlight of the attraction, with ancient, winding, and secluded caves like Phoenix Cave, Sanjiaotang Cave, and Yipin Dongtian Cave. The main springs, such as Fenglei, are crystal clear and sweet; you can cup your hands and drink the mountain spring water when you're tired. Temples and monasteries like Sanguan Temple, Ziyang Temple, and Guanyin Pavilion are nestled on the mountainside. Many devotees come here annually to pray for blessings, and the incense offerings are abundant. Every year on the 28th day of the fourth lunar month, a temple fair is held to commemorate and thank the Medicine King Sun Simiao. The fair features temple visits, traditional music and opera performances, local delicacies, and specialty shopping. During this time, the entire mountain is bustling with visitors.Fengcheng · 4.9km from downtown

The Broken Bridge over the Yalu River is a major tourist attraction in Dandong, especially at night when the lights are on. Feeling the wind from the Yalu River and looking at the scenery of the Broken Bridge, one is reminded of the history of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

The travel agency and tour guide provided excellent service, arranging for a car to pick us up from the hotel. The tour guide's explanations were lively and professional, and the itinerary was well-organized. Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy, and the scenery was less than ideal.

You can board a warship to see the main guns, missile launchers, and anti-submarine rockets; enter the bridge, bridge, captain's cabin, sailors' quarters, and ammunition depot; and get a close look at the naval equipment of that era. From the deck, you can also enjoy views of the Yalu River. The entire tour takes about an hour. A good exhibition of knowledge about important military equipment.

In my opinion, Phoenix Mountain in Fengcheng, Dandong, is definitely among the top 3 tourist attractions in Liaoning Province and even the three northeastern provinces. Although it's only a 4A-level scenic spot, it's just as good as any 5A-level scenic spot! Enough said, see the pictures!

Even on a cloudy day, the scenery is still quite nice. It's a good opportunity to take the elderly out and see North Korea across the Yalu River. Passing under the Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge and the Broken Bridge allows for a close-up view of the Broken Bridge.

The driver was punctual and reliable, and planned the route in advance. The car was well-maintained, with a clean and tidy interior, and the ride was comfortable. His driving skills were excellent, the ride was smooth, and he proactively reminded passengers of important points along the way. He communicated well, provided attentive service, and the entire trip was smooth and worry-free – a fantastic chartered car experience!

Overall it was OK, mainly because the cruise ship allowed me to watch the North Korean people up close, which was quite novel. The Broken Bridge at the river mouth was full of history. Standing on the Broken Bridge, I remembered the martyrs in my heart. The service in the scenic area was average, and the performance on Changhe Island was really meaningless, don't go!!! It was a waste of time. I fell asleep while watching it. I also left early.

Taking a boat trip to see our neighbors is a wonderful experience. We shouldn't judge others by our own standards when it comes to choosing a closed-off society (no offense intended). Happiness isn't solely measured by economic development; it also includes peace of mind, tranquility, and harmony. I've been there, so now that development has slowed, a boat trip is a good option. In recent years, construction on the opposite bank has increased, people's living standards have improved, and social diversity has deepened. Seeing the slogan on their wall, "모든 혁명진거를 3대혁명화하자," which translates to "We will transform all the achievements of our revolution into the achievements of three major revolutions," is fine. It's their business; just be aware of it. As for their indifference when they see us taking a boat trip on the river to observe their lives and natural architecture, they seem unconcerned. The scenery is beautiful, and the architecture doesn't seem to differ much. But with binoculars, you'll find that architecture is often just a form of existence. For example, the red brick building resembling the sun, with the three characters "New World" on top, is the Shinsegae Hotel in Sinuiju—unfortunately, it's empty. No further comment; everyone has their own way of life.

interesting experience but I don't think a whole cruise is necessary since you're basically seeing everything you can see from the coastline just up closer.

On the second day of my visit to Dandong, it started to drizzle outside. I changed my plan temporarily and came to Andong Old Street again to make up for the regret of last night. Today I came to eat and shop! I strongly recommend stinky tofu, small skewers and fried yogurt!
