The area north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is known as the North attraction of Changbai Mountain. There are more attractions here than on the West Slope and South Slope, but there are also more visitors.attractionThe Changbai Mountain Waterfall, Julong Spring, and Valley Forest are all classic geological wonders. You can also take a shuttle bus to experience the rapid curves and then overlook the beautiful scenery of Changbai Mountain Tianchi from the steep main peak. Upon entering the attraction, you must first take an eco-friendly bus to the transfer center. From there, you can choose to take the shuttle bus on the left-hand road to view the main peak and Changbai Mountain Tianchi Lake, or take the eco-friendly bus on the right-hand road to view Changbai Waterfall. If the weather is good in the morning, you can go up to the main peak first when there are fewer visitors and take the shuttle bus (usually a Mercedes-Benz van, 20 minutes one-way) to experience the thrill of continuously and rapidly navigating the curves on the winding mountain road. After getting off the shuttle bus, it's about a ten-minute walk uphill to the top. There are two routes, A and B, with signs indicating them. Usually, you take route A to the top and then continue on route B to descend, avoiding backtracking. If time is limited, you can complete route A and then descend directly via the steps between the two routes. Take the eco-friendly bus from the transfer center directly to the waterfall parking lot (10 minutes one-way). Walk up the boardwalk for a short distance to see Julong Spring and Changbai Waterfall. That waterfall is the outlet of Tianchi Lake, and its 68-meter drop is truly spectacular. The hot spring plaza here sells uniquely flavored hot spring eggs, which you can try. You can also wash your hands in the nearby hot spring pool and experience the volcanic hot spring. It's a five-minute drive from the waterfall parking lot by eco-bus.Little Heavenly Lake,Little Heavenly LakeIt's a tranquil little lake, its surface reflecting the elegant forms of the trees. After lingering for a few minutes, you can return along the boardwalk, where you can see the Erdao Baihe River flowing through the narrow canyon. After about 15 minutes of walking, you'll reach the entrance to Green Abyss Pool. There's a large restaurant called Lanjing Fast Food here that offers lunch; it's located within the attraction, but the prices are relatively high. Green Abyss Pool is a pool of emerald green water, with a waterfall cascading down the cliff on one side. On the way back along the boardwalk after visiting Green Abyss Pool, you'll see Jade Spring. From the parking lot in front of Blue View Fast Food, it's a five-minute drive to...Entrance to the Valley ForestStrolling along the boardwalk through the primeval forest is very pleasant. At the end, you can overlook the forest that sinks into the valley, but you cannot go down to the bottom of the valley at present. The valley forest is the closest scenic spot to the mountain gate. It is about a 40-minute drive from the attraction.Erdaobaihe TownIt's a major tourist hub, with various hotels, shops, restaurants, and bars, all reasonably priced. If you have some free time, you can visit the Changbai Mountain Natural History Museum in town, or watch a traditional folk opera performance at the Northeast Wind Changbai Mountain Grand Theatre. Nearby attractions like the Daxitaihe scenic area and the Magic scenic area are also worth checking out.Antu · 32.6km from Changbai Mountain

The Changbai Mountain Legend International Tourism Resort features five pavilions. Pavilion 1A serves as the visitor distribution center for the North Changbai Mountain attraction, serving as the gateway for visitors entering the northern scenic area. Pavilion 3 houses the Flying By Chang Bai Mountain experience, while the other pavilions include the Changbai Mountain·Gold 1172 Performance City and the Encounter Changbai Mountain Light and Shadow Art Gallery. The Flying By Chang Bai Mountain experience hall is currently the nation's premier new project. From interior design to film production, the flight experience hall was meticulously crafted by an international team. All projection equipment uses large-scale amusement devices certified by US UL standards, featuring the next-generation Taiwan-made I-Ride flight system - a flight theater system offering a 6-degree-of-freedom motion platform. The flight experience hall features two films: "Flying By Chang Bai Mountain" and "Flying Over China." "Flying By Chang Bai Mountain" was produced by the international team Rui Zhi Jiu Zhou in collaboration with the UK's PEL team, taking 2 years and costing 15 million CNY to capture the full landscape of Chang Bai Mountain through real-life filming. The entire film adopts the perspective of a falcon to perceive nature's existence and transformations, depicting the growth journey from a young eaglet encountering hunters to being tamed, released, and soaring freely. Through visual creativity and a unique entertainment experience, it immerses visitors in the magical natural scenery of Chang Bai Mountain across all four seasons, offering a soul-stirring and breathtaking viewing experience! Soaring Over China begins with a celestial dance in the realm of Hongmeng illusions. Through mythical lens transitions, it takes flight across China's landscape—first over the sacred Kunlun Mountains, then along the winding Yellow River, past the Hukou Waterfall, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Mount Tai, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Huangshan Mountain, Guilin's karst scenery, Mount Everest, and the Potala Palace. This breathtaking journey showcases both cultural landmarks and natural wonders while traversing seasonal changes and dawn cycles. The film masterfully condenses China's millennia-old historical essence and its rapid modern development into a visual spectacle, presenting audiences with thrilling, awe-inspiring vistas in their full grandeur. In addition to the experience activities, the Flying By Chang Bai Mountain venue also features flagship stores like Chang Bai Mountain Gifts, plant-dyeing theme shops, Luckin Coffee, Hefan Beef Noodles, and Meizhilian Egg Waffles. Mobile retail carts around the plaza further cater to visitors' diverse needs.Antu · 10.2km from Changbai Mountain

The newly opened hotel was clean, had good service, and a plentiful breakfast. The hotel's location was also very convenient, just ten minutes from the mountain gate and the train station, with a shuttle bus available. The Meiren Pine Park was right across the street, and there was a food street behind the hotel. It was also very close by taxi to the Shidai Fried Chicken and Lianyu Soup Rice commercial street. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

When visiting Changbai Mountain, don't miss this natural history museum. Here you can learn about the past and present of Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) and the volcano. The sand table model, volcanic images, and abundant flora and fauna specimens encapsulate the story of this mountain range over millions of years. If you encounter clouds and fog on your ascent and can't see Tianchi clearly, the panoramic exhibits inside can make up for it. Visiting before your climb will make your experience of Changbai Mountain completely different.

Changbai Mountain | A Glimpse of Heavenly Lake: Immersed in the Grandeur of this Sacred Mountain of Northeast China ✨ Finally, I fulfilled my promise to visit Changbai Mountain! This "Number One Sacred Mountain in Northeast China" truly lives up to its name. Every snapshot is wallpaper-worthy, leaving me speechless with awe. 🏔️ Heavenly Lake: A Must-See Paradise I was incredibly lucky; the weather was clear and fog-free, allowing me to witness the entirety of Heavenly Lake! The azure lake, like a giant sapphire, is nestled atop the mountains, calm and still, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds—pure and mysterious. Standing on the viewing platform, the wind whispered in my ears, and before me stretched the magnificent crater lake. In that instant, I understood the meaning of "A Glimpse of Heavenly Lake, Unforgettable for a Lifetime." 🌿 North Slope Classic Route: Every Step a Stunning View Choosing the North Slope for your first visit was perfect. The attractions are concentrated, the route is well-established, and the entire trip requires minimal physical exertion. - Changbai Waterfall: A 68-meter drop, the waterfall cascades down with a powerful, misty spray, a truly breathtaking sight up close. - Julong Hot Spring Complex: 82℃ hot springs flow gently. Be sure to try the hot spring-boiled eggs (3 for 10 yuan) – the yolks are perfectly set, the whites are smooth and creamy, a unique and delicious treat. - Lvyuantan (Green Abyss Pool): The emerald green pool reflects the green mountains and waterfalls, its crystal-clear waters earning it the nickname "Little Jiuzhaigou" – perfect for taking stunning photos. - Underground Forest: Stroll along the primeval forest boardwalk, surrounded by ancient trees and abundant negative ions – like stepping into a natural oxygen bar, tranquil and healing. ✨ Experiences and

Besides rafting, the forest also offers swings, deck chairs, and other relaxing facilities. During the National Day holiday, it took an hour to drive in for rafting, but the queue lasted two to three hours. The scenic area only has one road in and out, which is narrow and mixes pedestrians and vehicles, making it difficult to get in or out. They said the forest development permits were difficult to obtain, and the staff had already tried their best to guide visitors and provide shuttle buses to those in distant parking areas; their service was quite good. I really hope they can find a way to optimize the flow of people, expand the parking lot in front of the scenic area, or consider implementing a one-way system like the one in the valley. There are also tent hotels inside.
