"The room was really stylish, spacious, and bright, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – once you lay down, you won't want to get up! It had all the amenities you could need, including a washing machine with a dryer, which was super convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, making for a great stay. I asked the butler for two more hangers, as there weren't enough, and they responded promptly to my request. I recommend booking a higher floor if possible; the floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view."

"This Westin truly is the pinnacle of hotels in mainland China. The lobby and public areas boast a distinctly modern design (Pic 6), which feels almost out of place amidst the bustling Yuzhong District. The hotel lobby is located on the 51st floor, with guest rooms spanning floors 30-40. The environment is impeccably clean, and the views are absolutely stunning – even the lobby restrooms offer floor-to-ceiling glass windows with outside views. The cigar bar is incredibly stylish, perfect for office workers sneaking in some overtime (haha) (Pic 3). The outdoor pool on the 54th floor is also a unique highlight (Pics 1, 2). As for the room, the minibar is fully stocked with a great selection of drinks, adding a touch of elegance. I stayed in a relatively cheaper city-view room this time, and I was still able to catch glimpses of the Yangtze River (Pics 3, 5)."

"On a 5-day, 4-night business trip, this established hotel truly delivered. The staff were excellent, providing great service. On check-in day, a lovely lady at the front desk proactively upgraded my room. During breakfast, after I'd already paid for two people, another wonderful staff member approached me to offer a better deal, refunded my original payment, and helped me reorder – that really left an impression! Checking out was also efficient with Steve and Neva, who were both friendly and helpful. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. Wishing everyone all the best!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with many attractions within walking distance and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and proactively upgraded our room. However, when we entered the room, we found it to be quite basic (to put it nicely, it was minimalist, or even spartan). We even joked that it was on par with a Ji Hotel. Breakfast, however, was up to standard for a five-star hotel. What truly stood out was the exceptional quality of the staff. Their service consciousness was remarkable. From the moment we entered, they helped with our luggage. At breakfast, I accidentally spilled some noodle soup, and a server quickly noticed and immediately started cleaning it up, with their first concern being whether I had stained my clothes. The overall service felt genuinely warm and attentive."

GGuest UserOur three-day, two-night stay in Chongqing at Sushan 1946 was a warm and unforgettable experience. Days before our arrival, the 'little butler' proactively contacted us, meticulously inquiring about our needs and sending a personalized travel guide. That level of thoughtfulness already impressed me. On the day we arrived, it was raining lightly, but the 'little butler' was already waiting by the roadside, umbrella in hand, ready to help with our luggage. That moment of genuine care is still vivid in my memory. The hotel itself feels like an elegant sanctuary hidden amidst the hustle and bustle. Every piece of decor reflects an exceptional aesthetic. What's even more remarkable is the perfect balance in their service. From check-in to daily assistance, they were always considerate and meticulous, yet never overly intrusive. That 'just right' warmth allowed me to truly relax. I must especially commend the professional standards and detailed etiquette of the 'little butlers.' Their service quality is truly top-tier among all the hotels I've stayed in, leaving a lasting impression. Dining was equally impressive. The breakfast was rich, exquisite, and distinctive, and the afternoon tea pastries were both delicious and beautifully presented. When I checked out, the 'little butler' not only helped load my luggage into the car but also prepared a unique souvenir. The entire experience was so thoughtful, it made it hard to say goodbye. This is a hotel that truly embodies 'heartfelt care' in every detail. I'm so satisfied I almost want to keep it a secret, but at the same time, I want more people to discover it. Next time I come to Chongqing, I will definitely stay here again. Sushan 1946 is truly wonderful!

TTaiyangwenquandanThe room was fantastic, with a strong Chinese aesthetic. Most of the furniture and facilities were made of wood, which was very comfortable. There was even a mahjong table, though we couldn't gather enough people to play, haha! The bed was very comfortable. Upon check-in, we also received a complimentary enhanced hot spring experience. We chose lavender, and to our surprise, it was freshly brewed, which was a lovely surprise. After checking out, I left my power bank in the room, and it wasn't convenient to arrange a courier. Our butler, Xiaoya, brought it to us the next morning, for which I'm extremely grateful. Both the check-in and check-out services were excellent. When we left, we didn't even need to go to the front desk to check out, but the butler still chased us out from the front desk to say goodbye, ask about our stay, and see us off. Although breakfast for two was included when we booked the room, we didn't wake up in time. I'll definitely try it next time I visit!

TTaleTellAbsolutely loved my stay at Regent Chongqing during Chinese New Year! It was such an emotional boost. Every morning I’d spend ages in the restaurant, just feasting (so good!). Waiting for the lion dance and various gods to appear, and getting red envelopes from them (the lions and gods would interact with guests at each table in the restaurant). The breakfast pastries had different delightful touches every day, which made me so happy. In the evenings, the two bars had incredible views, giving off a vibe of extravagant decadence. I just loved indulging and chilling out every day. Service was truly responsive to every request, always thorough, patient, gentle, and never annoyed. They were there whenever you needed them, but without being overly enthusiastic or overwhelming. The balance was just perfect – that’s a huge plus! On checkout day, an important document accidentally blew under the car. The security guard and the manager at the entrance got down on the ground, blowing and fishing it out for me. Super impressive! I have to praise the complimentary Chongqing noodles in the room. Regent's noodles really do have a unique texture! They’re something special! I had to slurp down a bowl every morning at breakfast. When I left, I ended up buying three extra boxes… These few days in the bustling city of Chongqing were truly joyful! Everywhere I went, I had this illusion that I was about to become rich (just kidding, but not really). The massive golden tree, the auspicious lions, all sorts of gold ingots, gold coin chocolates, a well-stocked mini-bar with drinks, and various Chongqing snacks provided daily! As someone in advertising, I have to say the ambiance here is masterfully done. The brand positioning is so well maintained. Full of emotional value ✅. PS. The room facilities are new and complete, and cleanliness is excellent, no complaints. If I had to pick something, maybe the central air conditioning was a bit too warm. 🏨 Text and images ✅ Copyright 🚫 No copying, reposting, or derivative works.

GGuest UserThe hotel's facilities are excellent, and the decor is of a high standard, likely because it's relatively new. Overall, I'd say it's one of the better five-star hotels in Chongqing (I've stayed at several other high-end hotels multiple times as well). The front desk staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. A special shout-out to the hotel's service manager, Zhang Xiaodan, who, upon noticing it was a family member's birthday, even arranged for the kitchen to prepare a birthday cake. Thumbs up! 👍

AAsiyuThe hotel lobby is beautifully decorated and has an artistic vibe. The swimming pool and hot tub are also nice and not crowded. However, the in-room facilities are not great; the toilet flush doesn't work well, and the overhead shower isn't good either. The hotel uses Kavinfense toiletries, but for some reason, the shower gel smells particularly bad. **Environment:** The hotel is located in the IFS center, so you can easily go downstairs for shopping. It faces the river, offering views of the Grand Theater. Hongyadong is slightly off to the side. You can see the drone show, but it's from the back. **Service:** First, as a five-star hotel, you'd usually expect the hotel manager to contact you in advance to inquire about your stay preferences, but I didn't receive any such call. Second, it's unusual to be charged extra for a third guest, with them claiming that an additional person significantly increases operational costs. The welcome fruit was also quite basic (apples, bananas). The minibar had very few drinks and snacks. However, the front desk offered a solution: we paid a bit extra to upgrade to an N3 room, and they waived the additional charge for the third person. I didn't have breakfast on the first day, as the hotel packed it for me. I tried the hotel breakfast on the second day, and it was terrible. There wasn't much variety either. The spicy chicken wasn't even as good as the one served at their own hotel bar; there's a huge difference. There were no reminders about relevant services, no hotel information provided, and no departure souvenirs. I even considered changing hotels at the time but was too lazy to bother. Since it was a vacation, I didn't extend my stay and moved to another hotel. The front desk and concierge service were quite good. Answering calls, delivering items to the room, and luggage storage were all handled very enthusiastically. After checking out, the hotel called to inquire about my stay. However, I was out at the time and couldn't provide a detailed explanation, and they didn't follow up later. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend it, especially given the high price. Besides the nice hotel views and decent bar ambiance, everything else is quite average, some even below par.

GGuest User✅ **Highlights (Common Praise Points)** * **Unbeatable Cloud-Level Views** The 52nd-floor lobby boasts 270° floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the Yangtze River and Yuzhong Peninsula. The river-view rooms feature bathtubs right by the window, perfect for enjoying the night view or sunrise while bathing – truly photo-op heaven! * **Top-Notch Amenities, Attention to Detail** Rooms are spacious (river-view rooms are approximately 50-73 sqm) and come equipped with Dyson hairdryers, Byredo toiletries, smart toilets, and double sinks. The minibar offers some complimentary items (including Evian), and the bedding is very comfortable. * **Excellent Dining Reputation** Breakfast is exquisite, featuring Eggs Benedict, French toast, Chongqing noodles, and pea and minced meat noodles. The Executive Lounge's happy hour is generous and includes Sichuan-style specialties. * **Thoughtful Service** Members often receive room upgrades, welcome fruit, turndown sweet soup, and a Conrad bear. The concierge is professional and can assist with luggage and fan merchandise storage. * **Stunning Public Areas** The 55th-floor infinity pool (indoor, offering a great angle for 'skyline' photos), fitness center, and the grand spiral staircase in the lobby are perfect for Instagrammable moments. ⚠️ **Main Drawbacks** * **Inconvenient Elevators** The lobby is on an upper floor, requiring an elevator transfer, which means long waits during peak hours. The three guest elevators are insufficient, and the traffic flow can be confusing.

GGuest UserStaying at Bolian Resort truly felt luxurious. This was my first time experiencing a high end resort in China, and I chose Bolian over other options in the area, including Banyan Tree Hot Springs, with very high expectations. While it is not perfect, I’m glad to say that it does meet the standards of a luxury resort. The level of service and attention to detail, even with the language barrier, was comparable to what I’ve experienced at other top tier hotels like Park Hyatt. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the staff for fulfilling my personal request to have berries and chocolate prepared in my room. What really touched me was the towel art and flower petal decorations on the bed, thoughtfully arranged to mark a very personal occasion, which was celebrating my mental health recovery. Seeing the Mandarin character for “happy” placed on the bed felt very endearing. It was a small gesture, but one that felt genuinely kind and thoughtful. Other aspects of the service were just as impressive. While I was away enjoying the Bolian hot spring spa, the staff prepared my room for the evening by lighting all the mini candles, mopping the floor, and creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere for my return. That level of attention to detail really stood out. That said, I did notice a small oversight. The tea filter I had used for my pu’er tea was still left in the sink, which suggested that housekeeping may have been rushing, possibly knowing I would be returning sooner than expected. It was minor, but noticeable in an otherwise polished experience. The hot spring amenities, both in the room and around the resort, were amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I also appreciated how attentive the staff were at night, especially when guests were walking along the hot spring paths in the dark. The unexpected room upgrade was a lovely surprise as well, so thank you for that. Overall, I had a very pleasant and restorative stay. However, one thing that really affected my experience was the breakfast. The breakfast was honestly disappointing for a resort of this standard. The options were limited, the presentation was not great, and the overall quality fell short of expectations. I have uploaded photos with this review in the hope that management can improve this area. To be frank, breakfast took away from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. Being served ONE CHICKEN FOOT as part of the spread was highly amusing, but not in a good way. I have had much better Chongqing noodles and dim sum at local eateries for a fraction of the price. For a meal priced at around 200 yuan, it felt hard to justify......This is where people often say not to eat at five star hotels because the better food is usually found on the streets. It was disappointing that Bolian’s breakfast ended up reinforcing this stereotype... In summary, Bolian Resort shines when it comes to service, atmosphere, attentiveness, and hot spring facilities. With a serious improvement to the breakfast, it could easily become a truly excellent luxury experience.

AAnonymous UserBanyan Tree, located in the deep mountain hot spring area of Beibei, Chongqing, has changed ownership. Built on a mountain with natural hot springs, the scenery is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The hot springs are very comfortable, especially in the morning when the sound of flowing water, bird calls, and rising mist are incredibly healing. Every day, incense sticks and essential oil scents are provided. The shower room has a sauna, so you can steam directly. Getting in and out relies on shuttle buses, as it's a long distance with uphill and downhill slopes, which is comfortable. The chef is good, and the restaurant's food is indeed delicious (like Michelin-starred?). You can order room service, which is excellent. It's perfect for unwinding and just relaxing. Beibei is very natural, and the air smells wonderful. The breakfast selection isn't vast but has everything you need. It's more Chinese-style and quite tasty, but the service staff aren't outstanding. We met a lovely intern who was very energetic. He told us he was lucky to choose this place for his internship because the guests are high-quality, making him happy every day. Unlike his peers who were unlucky and chose less desirable hotels, where they faced many rude and low-quality guests daily, making them miserable. He was very cheerful, always smiling as he shuttled us around. We told him we'd praise him, and we mean it! Wishing you, [Intern's Name - placeholder], all the best in your upcoming career, hoping you meet good people every day [Grin]. ⛩️ BUT❗️ The overall facilities are really outdated (like a sanatorium) – maybe it's related to the high maintenance costs in the mountains? There was even a lot of dust on the room phone. I almost stepped into a hole twice on the floor next to the terrace hot spring (it had塌陷, my foot got stuck, which was a bit scary at night). The sealing strip on the bathroom door is worn out, and the door doesn't close properly. The air conditioning at night was ridiculously hot, making the whole room 29 degrees – I woke up feeling hot (and the duvet was incredibly thick). Turning it off and opening a small crack in the window brought me from a suffocating state back to comfort. The welcome fruit platter was the worst I've ever had at a Banyan Tree... [Shy] The tissues were folded beautifully, though... Aside from water, even Coca-Cola in the mini-bar is charged. Ugh, I've never been charged for soft drinks in a five-star hotel or above before... ❗️It's not that important, after all, service can compensate for many things. BUT❗️ When we inquired about the included activities like Baduanjin and incense making, the front desk service was evasive, giving various strange reasons like it didn't fit the brand's tone, so it was canceled, blah blah blah. Then they said they'd check if a class could be arranged and get back to us. And then, nothing. It was as if the matter never existed – no follow-up, no call back. Half an hour later, the cleaning aunt knocked on the door and brought a small Banyan Tree turtle (which is usually provided as two per room upon check-in at Banyan Tree hotels; now it seemed like a subtle consolation prize? Since we had several already, we didn't pursue it further). The activities weren't essential for us to participate in; it was just a casual inquiry, so we didn't press the issue. However, the Banyan Tree's response to service inquiries was surprising (at other Banyan Tree hotels, the front desk concierge usually details all activities and nearby facilities during check-in). During check-out, they formally asked how the room was. I replied that the facilities were a bit old and the bathroom door couldn't be closed. The front desk responded, ”Oh, really? We'll have someone look at it.” And that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. At such a high price during Chinese New Year, the service received was completely disproportionate and provided no emotional value (except for the intern). I felt a bit ripped off. I really like the location. I really like the hot spring mountain. And it's a Banyan Tree brand that I generally adore. But it also felt like I wasn't staying at a Banyan Tree. GGuest UserLovely hotel. Convenient as close to the airport. Great location for us as we arrived at midnight and the hotel was less than 15 minutes away by hire car, booked through ***********.  Staff are friendly even when busy.  Great breakfast spread.  Friendly reception - keen to help out with local knowledge.  We were on level 20 and had expansive outlook, thank you.

YYangxiansenshuoWe chose to stay in the South Bank district to avoid crowds and noise, and we're so glad we picked the Marriott. We stayed for 5 nights, going out late and returning early, and had a wonderful time exploring Chongqing. If we ever come back, we'll definitely choose this Marriott again. Room: We initially stayed in a city view room (4213), and then moved to a river view room (4301) for the last three nights. The room amenities perfectly matched the pictures on the OTA – classic but well-maintained, with everything you need. From the lobby greeters and front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone was incredibly friendly and super nice 😃. Of course, the night view from the river view room was even better! Location: Much more convenient than we expected. The subway station is right outside, it's a 20-minute taxi ride to the airport, and about 20 minutes to Chongqing North Station and East Station (for trips to Wulong and Fuling). Popular local restaurants in the surrounding residential area are just a short taxi ride away (starting fare). Breakfast: The greeters, supervisors, and service staff in the 29th-floor dining area were all so cheerful and energetic. The variety and quality of the food were excellent; we had breakfast there 5 times and never got tired of it! Public Areas: The swimming pool and the observation deck on the 51st floor offer an even better experience at night.
