"Big disappointment. Booked it for the last 2 days of our holiday with intention to relax. They provided us with a room but we had to changed it after one night because they started to do some maintenance work on that floor. The second room had moist problems, a bad smell and a wet floor in the bathroom. People working there are very indifferent to their guests with some exception. Pool is nice but staff is very busy chatting with each other instead of looking after their guests. Way to overpriced. Much better options around with better pricing and service!"

"I had initially booked a twin room at this hotel. However, due to a change in travel plans, I modified the check-in date and, carelessly, didn't notice that the room type had changed from twin to a king-size bed. Upon arrival, I found myself with a king room and only one bed. When I spoke to the front desk, they informed me that my reservation was indeed for a king room. I felt incredibly frustrated, like I had swallowed a bitter herb but couldn't complain – it was my own fault for being so careless. Adding an extra bed cost $20 per bed. For two rooms over two nights, this came to an additional $80. In total, the final cost was 250% higher than my original booking! And to make matters worse, the extra beds didn't even come with proper duvets, just thin sheets.
The hotel's facilities are quite old and dated; for instance, some elevator buttons were broken and hadn't been replaced. On the positive side, the hotel breakfast was good and quite substantial. On our third day, we had an early flight, and the hotel was kind enough to pack breakfast for us to take on the go."

"5 starts hotel in Panama City. It was okay to stay for a night. I asked whether I can use hotel facilities once i check out like a swimming pool. A receptionist told me that NO! After checking out i can use restaurants to purchase something Yes but swimming pool No. My flight was late afternoon and i wanted to chill on swimming pool before going to airport. But if i wanted to get swimming pool access after checking out, they want me to purchase daypass which $35. I’d never had experience before at any hotels. I don’t think i stay in again in my future. Happy travels!"

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my 1-day Panama Stopover. First of all, it is directly across the street from the airport which is a 5 minute drive. Secondly they have a wonderful airport shuttle bus with friendly helpful drivers. last of all the property itself is top notch from the rooms to the restaurant to the building itself. It is soundproof, you hear no air traffic or sounds from people in the foyer or restaurant nearby. The bed was comfortable, the only negative was that the AC unit is a bit loud, but otherwise, I would stay here again with no hesitation.

Guest UserThis is a great layover hotel for Tocumen Airport. The hotel is close to the Airport, 5-15 minute drive depending on traffic. Hotel offers shuttle service to and from the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable. Basic TV. Swimming pool and veranda are a comfortable relaxing area. Food was top notch. I found the restaurent service to be slow as I had to wait 15 minutes for a waitor and that was only after I got up and walked toward the bar. Breakfast buffet 6:30 am - 9 am was included with room. I asked to see the Casino but after a long walk and through a locked gate, I decided I didn't want to see the Casino after all.

Room was nice and comfortable though carpet had not been vacuumed in a long time.
Had a massage at the spa. Extremely disorganized and inexperienced massuese. With 30 minutes notice of my arrival there were no towels or robes ready. She kept bringing things one at a time even while i waz naked getting into the shower- bath mat, then robe, then robe belt, then towel, then slippers. I told her i just want back massage and done strong but i had to keep telling her where to rub and to be stronger.
Other than that the facility was nice
I used on line booking to book one day, then two more days then three more days. I always book for two but om the last three days something went wrong and somehow got booked only 1 person. Desk attendant told me $55 a day to change to two person. I think the app which i didn’t use the first two times defaulted to kne person and i didn’t have a chance to select two person
It waa extremely difficult to get a drink at the bar.
I did manage to get a drink at the bar then moved to a table. When i got the bill for items at the tae, the drink i had already paid for was on the bill. The waitress corrected it, thankfui had the bar receipt in my pocket

Guest UserStayed 2 nights, hotel and room normal. In front of the hotel there is Av. Balboa, busy day and night, so you can hear a bit of noise.
During our stay there was construction work behind the hotel, so the pool (which is small for those who want to swim 7/7 m) is not nice to use because of the loud noise. The breakfast does not offer much choice and with products not at the level of a hotel of this rating. For the price I paid the quality/price ratio was OK, but I saw that it can also cost up to CHF 50.00 more per night. We will return to Panama City at the end of our tour of the country, but not to the Méridien.
Kind and competent staff, good WI-FI.

All in one good hotel, people are friendly, the location is good, breakfast is OK.
The shower was not cleaned during our stay, you see that on the hair on the wall.
The temperature in the restaurant is too low, as in the US (sensitive 16 degrees). I don't understand why you can't adjust the wellness temperature (20-23 degrees). But this is rather a general problem, as they have looked at the Americans.

This is a very overvalued hotel, in reality the amenities are quite a low standard, rooms need minor renovations, and the housekeeping and maintenance services need proper improvement!
Maintenance issues: the sink had overspread issue, drainage issue, toilet had overfilling issue with a noise, shower vents didn’t close fully, unless you master the “secret”; floor in the bathroom was steep towards the bedroom area, instead of being steep towards the drainage hole, the entrance door wouldn’t close without noise because of touching the floor..
Housekeeping: they attended the room only after i asked and reminded. Even then they once didn’t clean the floor, twice didn’t provide refills of the amenities (water, tissues, etc.). Only after my kind complaint to the reception, they finally fixed the issues.
The reception and restaurant staff are very nice, kind, and attentive! Thanks and well done!
