I chose this hotel based on reviews from Trip.com users, and it really didn't disappoint. It truly feels like a royal palace garden hotel, and best of all, the price is incredibly reasonable. You can stay in such a beautiful place for just a few hundred yuan a night! Plus, you get free access to the Panmen Scenic Area next door, and the night view there is so stunning it feels otherworldly. We were even lucky enough to catch a 'datihua' (iron flower) performance, which was absolutely amazing. And their buffet breakfast is fantastic, really extensive, and only 68 RMB per person – such a great deal!

If you're coming to Suzhou, you absolutely have to stay at Houju Courtyard Design Hotel! It's super photogenic 📸. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, and the hotel's location is unbeatable – within walking distance to Shantang Street, Shilu Pedestrian Street, and Shilu Metro Station is also nearby, making it convenient to get anywhere! There are eateries right downstairs, including some famous Suzhou pan-fried buns! The rooms have a French retro vibe, with meticulous attention to detail, making for a super comfortable stay! The design beautifully blends ancient and modern, truly capturing the charm of Gusu. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suzhou!

What a fantastic vacation experience! Over four days and three nights, we got to try out buildings 9, 2, and 8, each with its own advantages. My personal preference, in descending order, is 2 ≥ 9 ≥ 8.
First, let's talk about the courtyard room in building 2. What I loved most was waking up to lush greenery right outside my window. I could step into the courtyard in my pajamas and soak in nature. Even when it rained, there was no need to worry about not being able to go out; there were tables and chairs in the courtyard perfect for quietly watching the rain. It truly maximized that relaxed, vacation feel, ideal for unwinding and recharging. The facilities weren't old either; I found them perfectly fine.
Next up is the suite in building 9. It's spacious, featuring a living room, bedroom, study, and two bathrooms. The Chinese-style decor felt grand and expansive, and the garden views from the window were also excellent. It would be very comfortable for a family. Since there were only two of us, we didn't need such a large space, which is why I personally preferred building 2, though building 9 was indeed great.
Building 8 is the newest and most modern. It offers breakfast (which 2 and 9 don't), and it was quite good. The window seats in the restaurant also boasted amazing views. They even provide complimentary bedtime snacks (again, something 2 and 9 lack) and you can choose hot milk, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room quality was also higher, with Bulgari toiletries, Evian and Nongfu Spring bottled water, and better quality disposable slippers and mattresses. However, my personal priority for a resort hotel is the scenery, so building 8 ranked slightly lower for me. For those who prioritize room quality and service details, this building is definitely worth considering.
The overall landscaping and service throughout the hotel grounds were excellent. Before coming, I wondered if people were exaggerating when they said you don't need to leave the hotel for a vacation, but after experiencing it, I realized it's true. Staying at the Yingbinguan is perfect for a low-energy, lazy person like me who doesn't want to wake up early for itineraries or battle crowds at tourist attractions. Beyond the hotel, everyone we encountered in Yangzhou – at attractions, restaurants, and museums – was incredibly nice. Thank you, Yangzhou, for giving us such precious travel memories. We'll definitely be back for another vacation!

Pros:
The building's cruise ship-like design is highly distinctive and unique. Located right next to Jinji Lake, the entire building lights up at night, creating an absolutely stunning view when combined with the lake and the city's nightscape across the water. Evening strolls around the lake offer fantastic photo opportunities.
The frontline staff are excellent. The doorman actively helped with luggage, and the front desk reception was warm and courteous, responding quickly to any questions.
Cons:
The family room was cramped, seemingly converted from a standard twin room. Due to the hotel's curved cruise ship architectural structure, the overall space was on the smaller side. After placing the beds and children's toys, the activity area felt very crowded. The attention to detail was lacking; there was no step stool for children in the bathroom, which is a noticeable shortcoming compared to similarly priced family-friendly hotels.
The hotel has been open for some years, and the facilities are showing some age; the carpets in the public areas had noticeable stains, which was unsightly.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the swimming pool was extremely crowded. Coupled with the pool's age and small size, swimming felt very cramped. I recommend avoiding peak times if you plan to use it.

Before check-in, I received a message from Luanne at the hotel, who thoughtfully reminded us of all the details we hadn't even considered and made excellent arrangements. A big wish of mine when returning to Nanjing and staying at the Zifeng InterContinental was to see my alma mater, and this time it was perfectly realized. I saw my alma mater embracing the purple aura of Zijin Mountain, a moment I'll remember for a long time.

After the Gaokao (college entrance exam), my friends and I decided to visit Nanjing. We stumbled upon the Atour Hotel Zhongshan Ling and what a great choice it was! The hotel is located right within the Zhongshan Ling scenic area. It used to be an orphanage school where Soong Mei-ling and Soong Ching-ling once taught, so it's absolutely steeped in history and feels incredibly significant. The rooms are charming with a full民國 (Republic of China) style and all the amenities you could ask for. Hotel staff member Zoe provided excellent service, always accommodating our requests. Five-star rating! Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it~
Hotel near Xuzhou Yunlong Lake Tourist Area/Xuzhou Amusement Land Resort,Xuzhou
GGuest User2026.06.26
The location is absolutely unbeatable. Yunlong Lake is just a few steps away, literally right next to a 5A scenic area. You can walk out the door and stroll along the lake, enjoying the breeze. It's about a ten-minute walk to Yunlong Mountain and the Han Portrait Stone Art Museum, and Xuzhou Museum isn't far either. No need to rush in the morning, perfect for a relaxed trip. Parking is free for drivers, and there are plenty of spaces, so no worries about finding a spot.
The hotel also upgraded our room. The huge floor-to-ceiling window offered a direct view of the entire Yunlong Lake. In the evening, the lake shimmered with golden light during sunset – it was incredibly therapeutic to just sit by the window on the sofa and relax. The bedding was just right, with both soft and firm pillows, so even those who prefer firm pillows can sleep soundly. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, with both a bathtub and shower. The toiletries had a subtle, high-end scent, not a cheap artificial fragrance. After a day of sightseeing, a bath was perfect for unwinding. The cleanliness was impeccable, with corners and the vanity sparkling. It was a very comfortable stay.
Breakfast deserves a special shout-out! It wasn't the usual generic buffet. All the local Xuzhou specialties were available! Freshly fried dough sticks, 'laomo juan sanzi' (pancake rolls with crispy treats), and handmade 'jianbing guozi' (savory crepes) were all there. No need to wake up early and queue for local breakfast outside. The freshly cooked rice noodle station was super popular, and the beef bone broth was incredibly fresh. Western pastries and freshly ground coffee were also available.
The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. The constant-temperature indoor pool was super relaxing after a tiring day. The gym had enough equipment. The view from the executive lounge was absolutely stunning; enjoying a drink while looking at the nighttime lights of Yunlong Lake created an amazing ambiance, perfect for couples or friends. The Chinese restaurant served authentic local dishes, with delicious 'digou ji' (pot-stewed chicken) and Huaiyang cuisine. It was great to have the option to dine in the hotel instead of going out.
The service was warm and attentive. Check-in at the front desk was quick. We requested a high-floor lake view, and the staff did their best to accommodate. Special thanks to Bree at the front desk; she was very responsive to our needs, and her attention to detail was incredibly thoughtful.

The hotel's decor is elegant and unique, with meticulous attention to detail in everything from the water purification system to the bathroom design. Both seniors and children loved the terrace view. A special thank you to Leo and the other staff for their warm hospitality; they even helped us retrieve an item we accidentally left behind. Leo is a super thoughtful guy, 100% recommended!

An absolutely wonderful experience! If you're coming to Suzhou, staying in a garden-style setting is a must. This hotel is a conversion of a 300-year-old house. While the building is old, all the facilities are incredibly modern, including a gym, pool, and even Dyson hair dryers. It's just a bridge away from Pingjiang Road, so you can enjoy the bustling lights on one side while having your own tranquil oasis on the other (the courtyard rooms are behind the wall you see in the video). The hotel breakfast is excellent, a semi-buffet of Chinese and Western small plates, complemented by your choice of a Chinese or Western main course. The breakfast noodles are especially delicious, served with fresh water chestnuts and shrimp. I particularly want to commend the hotel's service; it was truly warm and welcoming.
The hotel is a convenient 20-minute walk (or 5-minute bike ride) to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden. Ou Garden is a 10-minute walk. Wangshi Garden is a bit further, about a 15-minute bike ride. I'd recommend getting a joint ticket for the first three gardens, which is valid for three days. There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby, and both Pingjiangfu and Jinhaihua are within walking distance. If your budget allows, definitely go for the Songmaoju Suite – it's a private house with its own courtyard, so you won't have to worry about footsteps from above or noise from the shared courtyard. They also have smaller standard rooms to suit various budgets. A small heads-up: one wall of the courtyard rooms faces Pingjiang Road, so it can be a bit noisy during the day, but don't worry, it's very quiet at night.
Just a minor suggestion: the super-large bathroom with a bathtub, double sinks, and three separate areas is fantastic, but there's only one hook. I'd suggest adding a few more. Also, the wardrobe could use some pant hangers.

Arrived at the hotel early in the morning after the Dragon Boat Festival, and they upgraded my room. The room was quite spacious, still retaining that classic Hyatt style. Surprisingly, there was a telescope in the room, though it wasn't particularly useful. The hotel's location is absolutely excellent. You can take the subway directly from Xuzhou East Station to right downstairs. Below the hotel is a bustling commercial street with shops and restaurants of all kinds. To the south, you can walk to Huilongwo and Hubu Mountain. Just across the street to the north is the Confucius Temple, the 1818 Night Market, and Fuguo Street is also nearby. Several must-try restaurants on the 'best-of' lists are all within walking distance. It's perfect for enjoying food and drinks without getting too tired, making it an ideal way to experience Xuzhou.

GGuest UserThe room was filled with sunlight, and both the hotel itself and its surroundings were quiet and comfortable. The TV was huge, you could cast to it, the picture quality was unbeatable, and the sound system was also great! The staff were all very kind and made us feel welcome. The hotel's saltwater pool was also very nice. The only minor drawback was finding some uncleaned hair on the toilet and sofa in the room. While it was a small flaw in an otherwise great experience, it would be even better if they could pay more attention to these details.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

GGuest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.
AAnonymous UserThe rooms were clean and tidy, and they provided everything for kids, including footstools, toilet seats, and toothbrushes. The cleaning staff was exceptionally good. However, the water park staff was a bit indifferent and lacked a welcoming smile. The golf service was quite mediocre. On the other hand, the rock climbing instructors, one chubby and one skinny, were fantastic, making it easy for kids to feel comfortable and relaxed. The evening theatrical performances were also outstanding, and the on-site management was warm and attentive. The desserts at the buffet were an absolute highlight, especially the row of large sliced cakes—simply amazing! The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and is definitely recommended. The duck blood and vermicelli soup for breakfast was also a standout. The front desk service was good; they helped with luggage and guided us to our room. However, the hotel should really provide a map as it's quite difficult to navigate for first-time visitors. With so many activities and staff, it's understandable that service quality can be inconsistent, with some good and some not so good aspects. But overall, the experience was great and highly recommended. Therefore, I give Club Med Xianlin Resort a full five-star rating.

GGuest UserI specifically booked the garden waterscape room at Kimpton Bamboo Grove to experience the poetic charm of living by the water in Jiangnan, which completely cured my travel fatigue. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows throughout the room directly face the entire garden pond. White walls, bamboo shadows, rockeries, and green plants are all reflected in the water. When there's no wind, the pond is as smooth as a mirror, with the sky and clouds reflected, blending reality and illusion, like a flowing Suzhou ink painting.
Stepping onto the scenic small balcony, all I could hear was the gentle gurgling of water and birds chirping in the woods, completely isolating me from the city's hustle and bustle. The privacy was excellent. The room was spacious and elegant, with modern light luxury soft furnishings complementing the Oriental garden aesthetic. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom was well-designed with a wet and dry separation, and smart devices were fully equipped. The cleanliness was meticulous and impeccable. The toiletries had a warm and sophisticated scent. Upon check-in, a sweet welcome fruit platter was provided, and the first round of the mini-bar was complimentary. My butler, Cherry, was responsive and attentive, showing thoughtfulness in every detail.
Strolling through the hotel's gardens, winding corridors line the water, surrounded by lush bamboo. Every step offers a picture-perfect scene. On sunny days, sitting on the terrace, drinking tea and admiring the waterscape, a gentle breeze creates ripples across the water. On rainy days, a thin mist drifts over the water, creating a hazy, misty atmosphere. There's no need to rush to crowded gardens; you can privately enjoy the charm of Suzhou's waters in your room.
The location is convenient for getting around, close to the city moat and old town alleys. For those who prefer quiet and elegant scenery, the waterscape room is the first choice to experience an immersive Jiangnan waterside life. I will definitely book here again on my next trip to Suzhou. I genuinely recommend it!

GGuest UserHighly recommended! Before checking in, I thought it was an old hotel and didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. Although the decor is over 10 years old, all the facilities are of good quality. The furniture, carpets, and bathroom fixtures, though a bit dated, had a better feel than what was shown in the promotional pictures. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent! The cleaning was very thorough, and the room had fresh air with no strange odors (no old room smell). The room also offered an open view and was quiet!
The front desk and restaurant staff I encountered during my stay were very helpful and efficient in handling requests and resolving issues. You could tell they were well-trained!
Considering the location, service, and quality, it offers great value for money!
Suggestions for improvement: There was only one tissue box at the washbasin. I recommend placing another one in the bedroom area. Also, it might be a good idea to periodically check the seals in the shower and toilet partitions, as there was a minor leak one day.

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
GGuest UserI came to Nanjing for Liu Yuning's concert, and the Regalia Hotel I chose this time truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from the venue, so a taxi ride was very quick. After the show, I could get back to my room quickly to rest, avoiding a lot of traffic headaches. The location is absolutely perfect for concert-goers. What touched me even more was the hotel's service, especially Ada at the front desk. She was so warm and attentive, making me feel incredibly welcomed from check-in to check-out. It added a lot of warmth to my solo fan-chasing trip. Although the room wasn't huge, it was decorated very cozily and was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after days of rushing around and the excitement of the concert.
The only 'minor regret' was Nanjing's weather these past two days – the temperature fluctuated quite a bit, which was a bit unexpected. However, the hotel itself was always warm and comfortable. If I come to Nanjing again for a show or to visit, Regalia will definitely be my first choice!
