步行 | TravellerLikely one of the best hotels in Suzhou. Beautiful garden at the back and great atmosphere. However, I do have some complaints. First, the room given to me is facing directly in front of the pool. So it was very noisy all day long from the kids. The room was also very dark. Next, the laundry is a huge problem. There were too many people using the very few washer and dryers in the hotel. The dryer was not effective and the cloth remained wet after 3 hours. It was a terrible experience. I also have to complain about a young man working at the front. I asked him where the laundry room was and he completely ignored me and started to flirt with a young female staff. This was really really unprofessional. Unfortunately not much is expected to be done about this. If there is anything else to add, then please provide some sanitizing wet wipes for the gym. The benches were not sanitized at all between usage.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it's conveniently located if you're planning to visit the nearby mountains or Taihu Lake. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall with a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea house), making dining and shopping very convenient. Although this is a Marriott extended-stay brand, we discovered it's a hidden gem for families with kids. During the May Day holiday, they had daily kids' activities. On our check-in day, we participated in a kite-painting activity at the lobby bar, and after painting, we flew the kites on the lawn in front of the hotel. My child had an absolute blast!
We were assigned the smallest suite and received complimentary welcome desserts. The front desk staff, noticing we had a child, proactively sent kids' toiletries to our room, which felt like a very thoughtful touch. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, perfectly meeting the needs of an extended stay.

Five-Day Stay in Nanjing
Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

Highly recommended for families with children! We booked this trip for the grandparents and kids, and it truly lives up to its reputation as a top-notch family hotel. The service was excellent, ensuring both the seniors and children had a fantastic time. Upon arrival, we added the butler service on WeChat, and I must give a shout-out to our two butlers, Tracy and Diana. They were incredibly responsive, answering every question and resolving issues promptly, and also kept the grandparents informed about available services. Our little one had an absolute blast, saying they want to come back again! It's a lifesaver for parents, with nightly parties that are a blast. We give it a five-star recommendation!

Guest UserI specifically chose the Kimpton Suzhou Bamboo Grove, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations – highly recommended! The room was spacious and airy, with a simple yet elegant New Chinese decor that felt incredibly premium. The natural lighting throughout the room was excellent, and the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opened directly onto a private scenic balcony. Stepping inside instantly melted away my travel fatigue. The balcony was furnished with a lounge table and chairs, offering an unobstructed view of the Jiangnan streets and river. In the morning, I'd enjoy a cup of coffee with the sunrise, and in the evening, I'd sit quietly, feeling the evening breeze and watching the sunset – the ambiance was simply perfect, and it was great for photos. The room's cleanliness was impeccable, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress offered just the right amount of support. Toiletries and the minibar were fully stocked, the air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully quiet rest. The hotel service was thoughtful and attentive; check-in was efficient, Cherry was quick to respond to any requests, and the breakfast was exquisite, bountiful, and delicious. The private balcony is the biggest highlight of this room type, providing both ventilation and a private little oasis for relaxation, making it ideal for couples on vacation or individuals looking to unwind. For the price, the value for money is outstanding. Next time, I'll definitely book the 'Cool Enjoy Balcony Room' again. I recommend it to anyone who loves scenic views and seeks a relaxed vibe!

Guest UserThe location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Pingjiang Road. After exploring Pingjiang Road, it's perfectly situated to visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The hotel has an antique charm, offering a quiet retreat in a bustling area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a direct dispenser for hot and cold drinking water in the room. Breakfast isn't a buffet; you choose your items the day before, but it's so delicious and generous that we only wished our stomachs were bigger! From the moment we checked in, every staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to Front Desk Agent Xiao Xu, who contacted us even before our arrival to give us directions and continued to check in on us until we checked out. She truly made this short trip perfect, and we're so grateful!

FangjiajiugaizhujiudianThe old Hyatt, soon to be rebranded as a JW, was in a transition period, so I didn't have high expectations for the hardware or software. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service, especially from Front Desk staffer Xiao Yang, who deserves special praise. The room was standard, but the executive lounge was surprisingly huge, comparable to the Ritz-Carlton Xi'an, though it felt a bit empty with so few guests. For a trip to Wuxi, staying here is incredibly convenient for visiting both Nanchan Street and Huishan Ancient Town. I'm looking forward to seeing how it improves after the rebranding and renovation.

Guest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

Guest UserI came to Nanjing for Liu Yuning's concert, and the Regalia Hotel I chose this time truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from the venue, so a taxi ride was very quick. After the show, I could get back to my room quickly to rest, avoiding a lot of traffic headaches. The location is absolutely perfect for concert-goers. What touched me even more was the hotel's service, especially Ada at the front desk. She was so warm and attentive, making me feel incredibly welcomed from check-in to check-out. It added a lot of warmth to my solo fan-chasing trip. Although the room wasn't huge, it was decorated very cozily and was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after days of rushing around and the excitement of the concert.
The only 'minor regret' was Nanjing's weather these past two days – the temperature fluctuated quite a bit, which was a bit unexpected. However, the hotel itself was always warm and comfortable. If I come to Nanjing again for a show or to visit, Regalia will definitely be my first choice!
