[2024 Harbin Stay] Travel Guide for Volga Manor (Updated Nov)
Russian Village VOLGA MANOR Harbin
Theme Park is a must-see landmark when visiting Harbin because it is very beautiful. Inside, they have modeled St. Nicholas Church, the most famous church in the history of Harbin. There are also many Russian architectures, making you feel like you are traveling in Russia. Every corner is beautiful. You can spend all day walking around taking pictures and doing activities without realizing it.
Inside the Volga Mansion, there are rooms, restaurants, and many activities related to Russian culture. They also have many rides for us to do, such as snowmobiling, horse-drawn sleds, and an exciting rubber ring slide. Yi is another place we recommend when visiting Harbin.
📌The entrance fee is 168 yuan per person. 📌How to get there: We called a taxi via the Didi app from Zhongyang Street for 62.72 yuan. On the way back, we called back to Zhongyang for 58.25 yuan. 📌How to get there by bus: You can buy a tour at the building opposite the Sophia Church. The one-day tour price is 160-180 yuan, depending on the owner. The price includes the entrance fee and the round-trip bus fare. We went by ourselves, not using a tour service.

Snow and Vodka
The Volga Manor isn’t the best landmark to view in Harbin but it’s an interesting one. From Zhangyang Street area it took around 1 hour 30 minutes to drive to Volga Manor area.
We started by visiting the main Russian manor which we accessed via the shuttle bus (included in the ticket cost). The bus goes from the entrance, past the restaurant and up to the main attraction. Once inside, you can queue to try out the ice slide. Different to many others in Harbin, this one sees you conjoin with others to take a trip down the ice path. Quick and a laugh!
After the ice slide, wander through the manors wide area and photograph all that can be seen. There are many interesting buildings here that should be witnessed.
The final recommended stop is the Vodka Chalet - yeah you can grab an ice cold shot of vodka, again included in the ticket cost. Just choose red or white vodka (red is most likely plum wine but who knows!)
The Volga manor area also has an ‘authentic’ Russian restaurant, this is still to be confirmed. Dishes are served in a set menu style ranging between 68 and 298RMB. #tigeryear2022 #urbanexplorer #harbin #snowpark

Sharing the coordinates of places to visit in Harbin 🇨🇳☃️
Recommended places to visit in Harbin, the version of the closed snow village and no ice festival 😂 We went during March 10-14, the weather was still (really) cold, in the low to single digits.
📍 Saint Sophia's Church
A must-visit check-in point for anyone visiting Harbin 👍🏻
📍 Zhongyang Street
A pedestrian street with lots of food and shops. I recommend staying here if you're visiting, it's very convenient.
📍 Volga Manor
A very large snow village with lots of photo spots. You can walk around all day. The entrance fee is 168 yuan/person. We went by ourselves and called a didi car from the city. The fare there was about 55 yuan and the fare back was about 80 yuan.
📍 Yabuli ski resort
If you want to try skiing, we recommend this place. It's not expensive. We took the train from Harbin Station to Yabulixi and stayed there for 1 night. But actually, if you just want to ski and then go back to sleep in the city, you can do that too. #harbin #harbintrip #harbin #travelinginChinaandHarbin #China #travelinChina

Harbin is already in winter, and these are the only things you need to bring! Trust me.
I went to Harbin to see the snow. To be honest, there is no need to bring so much luggage when you come to Harbin in winter. Gloves, hats, socks, and hand warmers can all be bought in Harbin, and they are cheap! You can also reduce a lot of luggage burden!
-
Must-bring luggage list
✅ Long down jacket, cotton pants, thermal clothes, snow boots
✅ You can bring one set of hats, socks, and gloves, and buy them locally after arriving in Harbin. There are many types and the prices are affordable!
✅ Masks, hand warmers, scarves, and earmuffs can all be bought locally, which is very convenient
✅ Power bank, selfie stick, camera, thermos, face mask, face cream, lip balm, moisturizing products, hand cream...

Northeast Snow Viewing Guide 📝
1️⃣ It snowed in Harbin on November 5, but the amount of snow was not large, and it was the off-season with few people
2️⃣ Starting in December, the snow will get heavier and heavier, and thick snow will form, and more and more people will go to play
3️⃣ After the end of January, the number of snowfalls will decrease, but the temperature! It is still maintained at around -20° to -30°, so there will still be thick snow

Travel advice
❄️ Emphasize the transportation of the Ice and Snow World. It is recommended to take the subway. Get on the train at Shangzhi Street Station and get off at Ice and Snow World Station. The subway runs until 22:00 during the peak tourist season. It is recommended not to take the subway later than 15:00. (Officially open around mid-December)
❄️ It is recommended to go to the Ice and Snow World at night. The ice sculptures and light effects are more interesting at night.
❄️ The overall consumption in Xuexiang is generally high, and the entertainment items are more expensive than Xuegu or Harbin, so ask about the price before eating or playing, and you can also buy some snacks to bring with you.
❄️ You must go to the niche Volga Manor, which is full of Russian style. The original ecological natural environment reflects different styles of Russian architecture, especially in the ice and snow, it is like being in a fairy tale.
-
It usually takes two days to visit Harbin city. If you want to see thick snow, it is recommended to go to Xuexiang. However, it takes four hours to drive from Harbin, and it is inconvenient to drive in the snow. You can find a local guide to arrange it, and the experienced driver is more familiar with the road conditions.

Harbin, Volga Manor, experiencing the rich Russian style
Today I am especially happy, following my good friends from the Northeast to Volga Manor in the suburbs of Harbin. It is so beautiful. As soon as I entered the gate, it felt like stepping into a fairy tale world, with a strong Russian atmosphere. Without leaving the country, I saw many famous Russian buildings, feeling like I got a great deal! Along the way, thanks to Sister Yang for taking pictures for us; thanks to Xiao Liu and Xiao Meng for their company and arrangements. Xiao Meng drove very well, steady, safe, and very reliable! The scenery in Harbin is great, and the people are even better!

Bus, take bus 340 or 377 from Xiangfang District Tongxiang Mall to Chenggaozi Town, then transfer to bus 340 or 377 (Chenggaozi → Guojiadian) to Volga Manor, which can directly reach the gate of Volga Manor.
Direct bus, departs at 9:30 am in front of Zhuolin Hotel (near Exit 3 of Meteorological Station on Metro Line 2), and departs at 15:30 in the afternoon at the ticket office in the parking lot!

Warm tips:
(1) The park area is relatively large, first get a guide map and plan the route according to the plan.
(2) There are some performances in the park, please arrange reasonably according to the time in the park.
(3) Regarding clothing, a pair of comfortable shoes is very necessary. If you like taking pictures, you can wear a literary style dress for photos, which looks very good.
Birch forest, cabins, churches, Petrov Art Palace, etc., it feels like every corner of the manor is a good place for photos.
(4) During the peak tourist season (winter and summer vacations), accommodation reservations are relatively popular, so it is necessary to book in advance.

I recommend this scenic spot
Recently, I saw some travel friends recommending Harbin's tourist attractions on Ctrip, and I can say the content is quite comprehensive. However, I noticed that 'Volga Manor' was not mentioned in it, so I am providing feedback here. I strongly recommend the Volga Manor scenic spot. Although it is a relatively new man-made scenic spot, it is very beautiful and well worth a visit.

Harbin, Snow Town Travel Guide
First time writing a travelogue, here's a 6-day 5-night guide to Harbin for friends who want to visit.
Itinerary:
Day 1, fly to Harbin, no itinerary as arrival is at midnight
Day 2, visit Yabuli Ski Resort, stay in Yabuli
Day 3, Yabuli--Datudingzi Mountain—Ice and Snow Gallery—Check into Snow Town
Day 4, Snow Town--Harbin, Ice and Snow World, stay in Harbin
Day 5, Volga Manor, Songhua River Cable Car, Sun Island, Saint Sophia Cathedral, Central Street, stay in Harbin
Day 6, go home, no sightseeing as the flight is in the morning.
✅Must-visit Attractions
Saint Sophia Cathedral
A landmark historical building in Harbin with 'Byzantine style', the 'onion domes and tented roofs' are very authentic features of a Russian Orthodox church.
Central Street
The busiest pedestrian street in downtown Harbin, a huge architectural art museum, mainly Baroque style buildings, as if you are in the streets of Europe. Here you can taste Russian cuisine and Northeastern Chinese flavors.
Ice and Snow World
Opens only after December 20 each year, make sure to check the opening times before visiting, or you'll regret it. Ice and Snow World is definitely worth a visit, to see ice sculptures, and enjoy ice activities: skating/skiing/sliding, etc.
Yabuli Ski Resort
The largest ski resort in China, also the largest snow training center! Ski beginners don't need to spend money on coaches, just enjoy the fun of skiing on the beginner slopes! We didn't hire coaches, but we did hire two beauties to help us take photos, and the photos turned out great.
Snow Town
Like stepping into a fairy tale world, Dog Bear Ridge really exists! There are cute mushroom houses, interesting dog sleds, authentic Northeastern Errenzhuan performances, daytime photo shoots with a Japanese atmosphere in the snow, experience throwing water into ice, and at night stroll through the festive Snow Charm Street, with a free bonfire party every night at 19:00!
Datudingzi Mountain
Not only can you see the beautiful rime forests, but you can also experience the thrill of snowmobiles racing through the snowfields.
Ice and Snow Gallery
There are beautiful rime forests on both sides of the Yaxue Highway, and the Ice and Snow Gallery is located on both sides of the highway. The rime scenery shines like a fairyland in the sunlight! Inside, there are forest trails suitable for hiking, and you can also experience horse-drawn sleds shuttling through the forest!
Volga Manor
Compared to Saint Sophia Cathedral, I recommend visiting Volga Manor more. It's very worth arranging a full day to play. I didn't know the manor was so big when I went, and I didn't arrange enough time, so I didn't get to play enough. Volga Manor is an AAAA-level cultural tourism area built on the history of Harbin, with Russian culture as the theme, covering more than 600,000 square meters.

Harbin has released another hit, instantly transporting you to Russia
It truly feels like traveling in Russia and Eastern European countries, but the key is, this is Harbin.
Harbin always surprises us, and before you know it, it stuns everyone with a new hit.
The latest sensation is called 'Volga Manor'.
The name itself has a Russian vibe.
What's crucial is that this place is not just authentically European in appearance, the interiors of the buildings are also richly European. European galleries, large oil paintings, sculptures, pianos, furniture, and vintage tableware, everywhere you look is filled with European charm.
Every casual snapshot is a masterpiece.
Volga Manor is located on the banks of the Ash River in the suburbs of Harbin. It is a national 4A level cultural tourism area themed on Harbin's history and Russian culture, a creative base for the Russian Artists Association, and an international exchange center for Moscow University. The reconstructed St. Nicholas Church and the riverside restaurant carry the memories of old Harbin residents; the Petrov Art Palace and the Pushkin Exhibition Hall provide platforms for cultural and artistic exchanges.
The entire manor is a landscape of scenes based on old Harbin architecture. The Little Birch Restaurant is a work designed by the famous Russian designer Labiche for the Paris International Exhibition, with a unique front view from all four sides, each with its own characteristics, and is considered one of the world's classic wooden buildings; the reconstructed St. Nicholas Church within the manor was once a landmark building of Harbin, witnessing a century of urban changes.

Harbin Volga Manor: A Russian-style Enchanting Journey for the Heart
Harbin Volga Manor, a picturesque Russian-style park. As you wander through, the red walls and golden tiles shine in the sunlight, and the aroma of vodka intoxicates the senses. Within the manor, Russian-style architecture is elegant and dignified, with each brick and tile telling tales of exotic charm. Tasting the manor's home-brewed vodka, its rich flavor seems to touch the boldness and passion of Russia. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the manor but also to savor the charm of a foreign culture.

Harbin Volga Manor‖ Come and experience exotic customs
💰Average consumption:
270/person includes adult ticket + Russian meal + castle snow circle
There are discounts for students and children!
❤Reason for recommendation:
If you want to experience the ice and snow world, Harbin's Volga Manor is the best choice. Compared with the Ice and Snow World, the Volga Manor has more exotic customs. The Russian architecture that hits your face seems to put people in the world of nobles! The experience is full! The most important thing is that there are not many people! Not crowded!
: There are also St. Nicholas Church, Petrov Art Palace, Charlie Zino Castle, Vodka Exhibition Hall, Russian Song and Dance Interactive Performance next to it! The very characteristic exotic customs really make people feel and watch straight up! Standing in the Volga Manor, it seems to be in an old manor abroad, it will be very dreamy at night! It's like traveling through time!

Under the lazy sunshine, it feels like walking on Lake Baikal in winter.

Russian Buildings in Harbin
#harbintrip
Something different in China. I had my doubts coming here but I can say I had a good time and the buildings plus the landscape are beautiful. I paid 120 rmb for the ticket With the slide from the palace (it's the cheapest one, just to walk around and take pictures). There are different buildings and some of them aren't open yet. The main ones are the palace (nice dance hall), the coffee shop, the hotel, the shop and the church. Then there is also a cafe and bar, then a restaurant.

Volga Manor
#harbintrip
Volga Manor is located on the bank of Ashi River in Xiangfang District of Harbin City. Covering an area of 600,000㎡, the manor is an amplification of the city's Russian influences. Now, the manor featuring 30 Russian-style buildings, has become a new tourist resort featuring wet lands, landscaped gardens, hotels, restaurants, and meeting venues, hosting events such as art exhibitions and performances.

Harbin’s Winter Wonderland!
This literally felt like a fairy world! I can’t imagine going any other time than winter. The snow makes the surroundings even more beautiful. I definitely recommend visiting if you arrive Harbin. I paid 170 yuan for the ticket plus bus transport. Pickup is at Zhoulin hotel which is right outside the Meteorological Observatory metro station. Drive to the manor is approximately 1 hour give or take. Scan your ticket upon arrival and you’re good to go. They do have buses in the park so if you get tired just find the nearest stop and wait. There are restaurants if you get hungry but you can also bring your food if you want. #harbin #wintergetaway #china #trip #localguides

Harbin Travel Guide
1. The hotel prices near Harbin Central Street are relatively high, it is recommended to choose to stay in Nangang District, near the subway, which is more convenient for travel.
2. It's not necessary to visit those popular morning markets. Many morning markets in Harbin are large, with a wide variety of goods, including fried cakes, mutton soup, dumplings, tofu brain and other special snacks. You can choose a morning market closer to your accommodation, which saves both effort and time.
3. Bathing may incur additional charges, such as milk pushing, salt pushing, vinegar pushing, etc., many southerners are not aware of.
4. You can stroll around Central Street, buy a Madieer popsicle to taste, which is also a flavor of the Northeast. Candied haws are a bit expensive, but they look good in photos, those who like to take photos can consider. Other things are not recommended for purchase.
5. Any Northeast restaurant with the words 'home, village, kitchen' can be tried, such as Laochu Jia, Liushunyuan Pies, etc., they all taste good.
6. The place where young people in Harbin like to hang out is Haxi, where there are Xicheng Red Square, Haxi Wanda, Jinjue Vientiane and other shopping malls, and there are also Shanhetun Iron Pot Stew General Store, Yinjiu Skewer Bar and other restaurants nearby, suitable for photo check-in, and posting on Moments will not step on thunder.
7. Some well-known small dirty shops in Harbin, such as Fat Fat Original Barbecue, Xiaoyuan Kidney King, etc., only locals know.
8. Tianheng Mountain Ice and Snow Sports World is cheap and suitable for beginners; Maoer Mountain Ski Resort is suitable for experts.
9. In addition to Sophia Church, Hayao Sixth Factory, Gogol Street are also must-visit check-in places, with few people and beautiful scenery, and the snow is very thick.
10. Be sure to wear clothes that can be worn alone inside, because the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor in Harbin is very large, the indoor temperature is usually 20-30 degrees, very hot.
11. If you feel cold after the plane lands, you can go to clothing stores such as Clothes Home, Haxi Clothing City and other shopping malls to buy clothes, with clear prices, so you don't have to worry about being slaughtered.
12. You must leave a day to play in Volga Manor, the scenery is beautiful, beyond imagination, very photogenic, and the service attitude is good, the big slide is high and cheap, basically no need to queue.
13. The 731 site is a place that every Chinese should go to see, this history can never be forgiven.

The scenery here is so beautiful, you should stay here when you come to Harbin
The architecture of Harbin's Volga Manor is not like Manzhouli's city full of onion heads, houses with sharp points, windows with round, and Russian style with along the wall, but it is some famous buildings in Harbin's Russian history. Among them, the leader is the St. Nicholas Church, which was rebuilt on a 1:1 scale - the city landmark of Harbin in the past.
Volga Manor is the base of the Russian Artists Association and Harbin Photography Creation. The 'Beauty will save the world' ice and snow scenery created by the manor is very dazzling. Watching the sunrise on the top floor of a restaurant in their house in winter is a very comfortable travel experience.
At sunrise, the whole manor is dyed by the sun, it's extremely dazzling!

Experience Russian Architecture-Volga Manor
#harbintrip #vianasjourney #awesomepic
It would be one of destination that you should visit when in Harbin. Taxi from Wanda Plaza cost less than 100RMB. Entrance fee was 168RMB per person. It’s no news that every building is influenced by Russian Architecture. Some of the fun stuff to do here is get into the houses and read up some history or background that related to Russian culture. For example, I’ve got to enter a vodka house and learned about the drink. They even have this simple and small cafe downstairs where you can ordered a vodka in an ice shot glass. The snow here is more thicker and cleaner than the one in the city. So 100% would recommend this place to anyone who plan to visit Harbin eapecially during winter.
