The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

What if you can’t get a ticket to Yunshanping? In our case, since we were traveling with our baby, we didn’t feel the need to visit Yunshanping. There’s plenty to see at the foot of the mountain. We started by calling a Didi to get there (if you have time, wake up early and catch the sunrise!). The road leading to Yulongxueshan is absolutely beautiful. We spent some time exploring Ganhaizi, which offers several spots to take stunning photos with the snow-capped mountain in the background—definitely worth spending time there. Next, we hired a private car to visit Blue Moon Valley, as the shuttle buses were really crowded. There’s a rest spot in the valley where you can enjoy your own lunch and take a break before exploring the area on foot. Finally, you can catch a shared car back to Lijiang at a reasonable price. #jadedragonsnowmountain
