Yufuin Onsen Recommended

We visited a friend in Fukuoka and decided to go to Yufuin Onsen. Our Japanese friend found a hot spring hotel with a private bath for 2 people for 50,000 yen per night, including dinner and breakfast. We found Sumika Hotel with a private bath. This is a small hotel run by a private family. There are not many rooms, and each room is a separate log cabin. The view outside the window is nice. You can see the mountains in the distance while soaking in the hot spring. The hot spring and the beautiful sunset made us very happy. One of our friends is a vegetarian, and the hotel provided her with a unique vegetarian set meal. Both dinner and breakfast were very rich. There was also a live piano performance at dinner, and the piano was a Steinway. The hotel service was friendly, and the thoughtful design of many small details was impressive. This is a hot spring resort hotel worth visiting again!
