Yichang～

On a whim, I took a trip to Yichang with no plans and no itinerary, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Yichang's food has incredible staying power. The spicy beef buns and shredded radish buns are local specialties; one bite fills your mouth with the fragrant spicy oil, perfectly satisfying. The beautifully named Huamian (mixed beef and pork intestine noodles), which you just have to try, was also on the list. The family restaurant Jiejiegen Beef, which can send you soaring, is truly a rice-eating miracle. With a carb heaven rhythm of five meals a day, I can only blame my small appetite. The highlight has to be the original photos straight from Longjin Creek at Sanxia Renjia—personally, I feel it’s the most charming place in western Hubei. This trip was a total win.
