M50***57A Maritime Silk Road Adventure December in the north was bitterly cold, so I decided to vacation at the Dajiaowan Maritime Silk Road Tourist Area on Hailing Island, where I encountered two incredibly wonderful journeys. ★The Breathtaking Nanhai No. 1 Museum The matrix-style ceramic display of the Nanhai No. 1 shipwreck was the most unexpected and breathtaking part of my trip. Hundreds upon hundreds of Song Dynasty porcelain pieces were arranged in neat rows throughout the exhibition hall—from the warm, jade-like texture of celadon to the deep, rustic charm of brown-glazed porcelain, and the elegant, lively blue-and-white porcelain, the brilliance of a thousand years of porcelain intertwined to create a dreamlike scene, unfolding a magnificent scroll depicting the twelve major kilns of the Song Dynasty from north to south. These were once precious cargo on Song Dynasty merchant ships, sleeping in the deep sea for eight hundred years. Now, having shed the silt, they have reappeared in their most orderly form. At this moment, what lies before us are no longer cold artifacts, but vivid scenes: kilns in the north and south are burning brightly, ship horns are sounding in Guangzhou port, merchants are checking goods at the docks, and artisans are painting patterns in their workshops… The matrix arrangement seems to unfold the maritime trade routes of eight hundred years ago right before our eyes; each piece of ceramic is a coordinate, collectively forming the maritime map of the Song Dynasty civilization. They are silent yet powerful, witnessing the progress of civilization as "Eastern winds spread westward," telling the story of how, a thousand years ago, China had already embraced the world with an open attitude. ★Stunning Seaside Scenery Arriving at Dajiaowan around 2 PM, we were immediately faced with the vast South China Sea. Blue skies, azure sea, waves, tides, sailboats, combined with the scattered facilities along the shore and leisurely middle-aged and elderly tourists, create a pleasant seaside scene. Dajiaowan is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with calm winds and gentle waves, a clean and flat beach with fine and soft sand, clear and pure seawater, and refreshingly clean air. I couldn't resist taking off my shoes and wading barefoot in the waves, fully enjoying this romantic seaside moment. Looking towards the sun, the waves of Dajiaowan Bay instantly ignited—not a soft gold, but a dazzling silver-white. As the waves rolled, they looked like countless pieces of silver being crushed and tossed into the air, then splashing onto the sea surface with a splash as they crashed down, shimmering and spreading into the distance, eventually merging into a magnificent expanse where sky and sea merged. Standing with my back to the sun, the moment the waves receded, the wet sand became smooth as a mirror. The reflections of the buildings on the shore unexpectedly spread out beneath my feet—not blurry illusions, but clear outlines of the buildings and the lines of their window frames, swaying gently with the sea breeze, like a mirage. Only when the waves crashed onto the shore again, splashing up tiny droplets, did I return to reality. Finally, I returned to the stone monument marking "Dajiaowan Bay," sat on the steps, lost in thought, continuing to be captivated by this healing scenery.
