Xiapu County is a county under the jurisdiction of Ningde City, Fujian Province. It is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, on the northwest coast of the Taiwan Strait, and was once the political, economic, and cultural center of eastern Fujian. Due to its coastal location, it is a peninsula-shaped area with a land area of 1,716 square kilometers and a sea area of 29,592.6 square kilometers. The coastline is 505 kilometers long, accounting for one-eighth of the province's total, ranking first in the province. There are more than 400 islands of various sizes. The long coastline and numerous islands and harbors are the geographical features of Xiapu.
