Western Sichuan, here I am again! Gazing upon the most magnificent and breathtaking autumn scenery of snow-capped mountains! This is absolutely the highlight of my 2025, and perhaps even of my life so far. Embarking on an early winter rendezvous with Western Sichuan, it was truly worthwhile! 🗓️5-Day Itinerary: Chengdu—Four Sisters Mountain (watch the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains)—Badain (experience Tibetan food in Tibetan villages and watchtowers)—Daocheng Yading (hiking to Milk Lake requires trekking poles)—Litang (stargazing at the high-altitude grasslands)—Kangding (soaking in Mugecuo Hot Springs) 🎒Equipment List: Windproof jacket + sunglasses + sunscreen (essential, extremely strong UV rays) + oxygen cylinder (essential for high altitudes) ⚠️Ironclad Rules for Personal Protection: Prevent altitude sickness: Take Rhodiola rosea 7 days in advance (effectiveness is questionable but worth trying); do not shower on the first day at high altitude; buy oxygen cylinders in Chengdu (¥15), cheaper than at the scenic area; prevent slips and falls: crampons are essential in the snow season (¥20/pair in town); use the "three-point support" climbing method on slopes; emergency supplies list: oral glucose solution, first aid blanket, satellite phone (no signal in some areas of the scenic area) 🌁Winter Experience and Reflections! Winter in western Sichuan is free from the throngs of tourists of the peak season, allowing you to fully enjoy the sound of the wind whistling through the trees and feel the warmth of the sun on your face. Everything sheds its vibrant colors, returning to the most essential black, white, and gray. This extreme simplicity, in turn, highlights the structure of the mountains, the graceful forms of the trees, and the vastness of the sky and earth, delivering a profound and moving experience. It perfectly embodies the meaning of "silence speaks louder than words."
