"Elephant Mountain" Hiking Experience for Beginners

Elephant Mountain is one of Taipei’s well-known hiking spots. For beginners, this hiking trail is a friendly and easy-to-use option. Climbing up the stone steps felt relatively easy at first, but as the height increased, my heartbeat gradually accelerated. Fortunately, there are many resting platforms along the trail, which gave me a chance to take a breath and enjoy the beautiful views of the city from different angles along the way. After climbing to the viewing platform of Xiangshan, the view of Taipei 101 and the entire city in front of us made all the hard work worth it. The trails in Xiangshan are clear and well maintained. Even if it is your first time, you will not have any trouble getting lost. This hike to Elephant Mountain made me realize that even beginners can enjoy mountain climbing. At the same time, it is recommended that first-time visitors remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring enough water to maintain good physical strength and welcome the beauty of Xiangshan with ease. #climb mountains
