DJI Sky City

In the vibrant and innovative city of Shenzhen, the DJI Sky City project in Nanshan District's Liuxiandong is undoubtedly a dazzling jewel. Covering an area of 17,600 square meters, it is like a green heart, pulsating in the midst of the bustling urban jungle. This building, a masterpiece from the British architectural firm Foster + Partners, is filled with modernity and a sense of the future in every line and angle. The Wubei design team has infused it with soul, combining Foster's early concepts, they deepened the plan, drew up the construction drawings, and supervised the entire process of landscape construction with the DJI team. Their design philosophy is to integrate DJI's innovative DNA with Foster's architectural characteristics, creating a special high-altitude communication experience between people and nature. This Sky City is composed of various landscape spaces with different functions, including municipal greening, the first-floor landscape plaza, the podium rooftop garden, and the indoor lobby. Among them, the most eye-catching are the 13 outdoor 'Sky Gardens.' They are like oases suspended in the air, bringing a touch of cool greenery to urbanites. After repeated deliberation, the designers finally realized an organic landscape system composed of two-dimensional planes, three-dimensional spaces, and human participation. They explored and implemented various ecological design possibilities, making this building not just a structure, but an ecosystem, a city oasis that can coexist harmoniously with nature. Ultimately, this giant floating glass block building, which challenges Earth's gravity, is like a green tree growing out of the city's fabric. Its branches are lush, its roots well developed, integrating the building with the city, nature, people and the sky, the seasons, and plants and flowers. It is the future Sky City in our hearts, a place of vitality and hope, a green dreamland.
