Gyeongbokgung Palace: A family trip to explore history During our family trip, my child and I were full of anticipation as we arrived at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea, eager to embark on an unforgettable journey of historical and cultural exploration. Stepping into Gyeongbokgung Palace was like stepping into a time tunnel, with the glorious years of the Joseon Dynasty coming to life. The palace buildings were majestic, with red beams and gray tiles complementing each other, exuding a simple and elegant beauty. My child stood in front of the grand palace, wide-eyed and amazed at the ancient people's extraordinary design wisdom. I was also captivated, as if I could see the bustling scenes of the royal palace in the past. To add more fun, we rented a hanbok for my child. The little one ran around the courtyard in the hanbok, looking like a little court noble from the past, which was adorable. During the tour, I took the opportunity to explain the ancient Korean political system to my child, helping him understand that this place was once the core of national power. We also admired the ubiquitous symmetry in the palace architecture and explored the mysteries of feng shui culture, which my child found fascinating. He asked innocent questions from time to time, making the trip full of laughter and knowledge sharing. As we strolled along the stone paths of Gyeongbokgung Palace, weaving between the various palaces, every plant, brick, and tile became a treasure in our eyes. My child curiously touched the ancient walls, while I told stories from the river of time, from the king's diligence and love for the people to the court's etiquette and customs. My child listened intently, even if he didn't fully understand. This trip to Gyeongbokgung Palace not only brought joy and knowledge to my child but also strengthened our parent-child bond, becoming a precious memory in our hearts, witnessing the beautiful moments of my child's growth.
