Laguna Island Resort, A Short Getaway

Laguna Redang Island Resort, set against a backdrop of silky smooth, sparkling white sand, crystal-clear waters and emerald hills. There is a small house reef at the corner of the beach just in front of this hotel, which makes it great for a quick snorkeling. However during peak holiday period (June - July), the hotel is nearly full with guests. The snorkeling trips that depart at 9.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. are in large boats which are crammed with guests. So if you go on this particular snorkeling jaunt, be prepared to see more people than fishes ;) On the other hand, the rooms are clean and well kept, great swimming pool and staff are attentive. If you like quiet resorts like I do, probably go during the off peak period (Feb - April, Oct - Nov). Note: If you are a friend of sharks, at 5.30pm daily hang around the house reef as the staff will bring you out feeding the sharks.
