Panjin Red Beach: A Sea of Fire!

Every autumn, a "sea of fire" appears on the northernmost coast of China. This is the Red Beach in Panjin, Liaoning Province. The Red Beach is a wetland made up of large patches of suaeda salsa and is one of the "Most Beautiful Marsh Wetlands in China" selected by National Geographic. In autumn, the suaeda salsa gradually turns red, covering the beach like a blazing fire! This year, the Red Beach is not as red as before, and its area has been greatly reduced. This is because the heavy rainfall this year has diluted the seawater, causing many suaeda salsa to wither and not grow well!
